Whaley has been a complete failure as a GM
What a Tuel replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No they are talking about 2014 if I am not mistaken when we had Tuel, Thad Lewis, and Manuel battling as our starting QB's until they picked up Orton in early September. In 2013 they had planned on Kolb starting, and had drafted EJ Manuel. Kolb slipped on a mat, and the rest is history. Not that Kolb was a particularly good plan, I hated the move. Despite the hate for Fitzpatrick, he was leagues better than our options. -
According to ESPN, Clay ruled out Sunday as well.

Can we change this topic title to rumor or something? This is completely unfounded and misleading so far. -

Lol Tarvaris Jackson? Seriously? I'll agree on Fitzpatrick but then we should never have released him. He wasn't the future, but he certainly wasn't worse than Kolb. There is no way they resign him a year after they cut him and are still recouping from the dead money though. But yeah, I am missing the point haha. -

Who was available that year that did better? The only one I see is Hoyer. 3,326 yards 12 tds 13 ints in 14 games Orton had 3,018 yards 18 tds 10 ints in 12 games. Orton was essentially better than all of the free agent QBs (not saying much) Edit (my bad I grabbed a 2013 list) Quarterbacks 1. Michael Vick (Signed one-year, $5M deal with NYJ) 2. Mark Sanchez (Signed one-year, $2.25M deal with PHI) 3. Josh McCown (Signed two-year, $10M deal with TB) 4. Matt Cassel (Re-signed two-year, $10M deal with MIN) 5. Josh Freeman (Signed one-year deal with NYG) 6. Shaun Hill (Signed one-year, $1.75M deal with STL) 7. Ryan Fitzpatrick (Signed two-year, $7.5M deal with HOU) 8. Jason Campbell (Signed one-year, $1.5M deal with CIN) 9. Chad Henne (Re-signed two-year, $8M deal with JAX) 10. Tarvaris Jackson (Re-signed one-year, $1.25M deal with SEA) 11. Kevin Kolb 12. Brandon Weeden (Signed two-year, $1.53M deal with DAL) 13. Colt McCoy (Signed one-year, $795K deal with WAS) 14. Matt Flynn (Re-signed one-year deal with GB) 15. Kellen Clemens (Signed two-year, $3M deal with SD) 16. Luke McCown (Re-signed one-year, $920K deal with NO) 17. Derek Anderson (Re-signed two-year, $2.564M deal with CAR) 18. David Garrard 19. Dan Orlovsky (Signed one-year, $920K deal with DET) 20. Rex Grossman 21. Curtis Painter (Re-signed one-year, $795K deal with NYG) 22. Charlie Whitehurst (Signed two-year, $4M deal with TEN) If you are talking trade then let's talk trade - who was available to trade for and what are you willing to give up for him? -

Nothing about Clay not playing. Bills OC Anthony Lynn said the team wants to get Charles Clay more involved. "We had targets to Charles Clay last week. We missed him on one. One time the protection didn’t hold up," said Lynn. "We do have Charles in mind and we know that he’s a playmaker so we’re trying to get him the football." Buffalo has no choice but to increase Clay's role with Greg Salas sidelined and Sammy Watkins on I.R. He's still not a recommended streaming option for Week 4. Oct 1 - 10:58 AM -
Watkins Ruled Out For Sunday (Update - placed on IR)
What a Tuel replied to BreezeMafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you seen the internet Weo? No one cares what the lunatics on comment sections thinks, say, or do. They got to Sammy, and he fired back. That is what happened period. There was no underlying theme, Sammy was frustrated with people criticizing taking his family to disneyland, so he fired back. The fact that this is unforgivable, and the poor fans who were being way bigger douchebags are forgotten and made into victims because of anonymity is disgusting. The fact that people on this forum care that Sammy offended those idiots, or that were offended themselves is disappointing. -

The thing I would find curious is to ask a Falcons fan if they thought Julio Jones was a bust 3 games into year 3. I bet they have old forum threads where people were bashing him left and right. -
Bills WR draft picks in the top 5 rounds since 2006
What a Tuel replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand what you are saying but we have drafted an average amount at the WR position. You may not like the picks, but every team drafts players who do not live up to their expectations: For example New England Patriots (Rounds 1-5 since 2006) Malcolm Mitchell Round 4 2016 Aaron Dobson Round 2 2013 Josh Boyce Round 4 2013 Taylor Price Round 3 2010 Brandon Tate Round 3 2009 Matt Slater Round 5 2008 Chad Jackson Round 2 2006 Granted - Belichick can pick up any scrub and play them in his system (these guys all still didn't do well) - The question remains, why wouldn't he just draft the good WRs? It's very easy to select draft history and make GM's look foolish without context. -
Bills Awarded WR Justin Hunter from Waivers
What a Tuel replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hilarity is that they act like he is a bust, but in reality he makes the team better. He just needs to get healthy. Bills fans don't have time to be waiting for our good players to get healthy though! We need to just break it off with Sammy and we need to get all pros like justin hunter on the field to replace that slacker! #noplayoffs=sammyisabust #idontcarewhatthetapeshows #whathaveyoudoneformelately -
Whaley has been a complete failure as a GM
What a Tuel replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But how can you not want to read endless "Whaley is horrible because I say so" tirades? -
And a healthy Sammy would beat out most of those other WR's. Something tells me half of those talented WR's wouldn't be the same player in our QB situation, and you'd be bashing them too saying "there were so many great WR's in this draft and we got this one". The whining commences regardless and that's what people are sick of.

Sammy Watkins is a special talent. There is no doubt about that. He just needs to get healthy. Don't mix up Whaley not being held accountable with Whaley not being held accountable to your standards and temper tantrum.

Watkins Ruled Out For Sunday (Update - placed on IR)
What a Tuel replied to BreezeMafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. Some people are calling him a bust. Some are calling him a #2 WR but not a true #1. I get the "what have you done for me lately" attitude, but we've seen his talent, he just needs to get healthy. Sammy Watkins makes this team better. -
Bills WR draft picks in the top 5 rounds since 2006
What a Tuel replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5 rounds is an arbitrary cutoff. He showed what other teams do in drafting WR's and the Bills averaged out. -

McCoy may be highly paid, but he is also the core of our offense right now. Everyone seems to forget that they want us to draft QB's repeatedly until we find another Rodgers. When they fail on a single one, "that GM is garbage". It's stupid. Everyone also seems to forget that we traded down for EJ, getting an additional 2nd round pick along with drafting him. Drafting Sammy with no injury history has no business in the GM argument. The talent we got was worth the high picks at the time, maybe not so when he has been injured, but he just needs to get healthy. Clay was highly paid, but after the restructure he is currently making $7.6 million a year, which is 7th ranked for Tight Ends. The Bills are ranked 13th in Tight End position cost over all in the NFL. And honestly, when talking about football players, are we really going by your "shiny or not" rankings? Seriously? Who would've know that actually going out and getting highly rated prospects would be a thing Bills fans would ever complain about. -

You can look those up yourself. http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/16725/sammy-watkins And those games were better than awesome. -
I thought government oversight or regulation of the internet was bad?

TNF: Creamsicle Dolphins at Bengals
What a Tuel replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mario Williams is on par for a 20 tackle 4 sack season. Obviously it will vary as the season goes on, but we aren't missing that production. This is a system that he claimed was "that much sweeter". Different scheme, same or less production. He needs to step it up. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000696688/article/mario-williams-miami-scheme-that-much-sweeter -
He put up 16 games year 1 and has only missed 4 games out of 35 games, and no one cares that you are sick of hearing about him being hurt, or that you want to quickly and stupidly label him a bust.

Rex Crashes Edelman's Conference Call
What a Tuel replied to Bills Fan in MD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quit being dumb. Rex was in the room for his own conference, and he would have been waiting around to start his anyway. Read the article. Not to mention you just wasted 30 seconds typing this when you could have built a vast fortune by doing something! What a scrub at life! As Patriots receiver Julian Edelman wrapped up a conference call with Buffalo reporters, Ryan -- who just entered the room for his news conference -- leaned over into the speakerphone and asked Edelman a question. -
Just visited the "paranoia thread" on their forum haha. They think we are paranoid but are speculating that Goodell is either behind the communication issues at Gillette or behind making them a problem. Then they go on to make fun of the "Arizona win may come back to bite us" thread, in which practically everyone outside of the topic creator hammered home that he was an idiot for thinking that. I'm starting to get the idea that Patriots fans have the attention span and situational awareness of that dog from Up.

I simply said they were bought out twice. You said no. I clarified the buyouts I was referring to. You said "idiot, those are just a specific kind of buyout, no big deal duh" You guys are an awfully sensitive bunch. This is a farcry from " Time Warner started putting data caps on their customers years ago - not in an effort to "monetize data", but instead to manage the ever increasing load on the network." But to each their own. No need to get all "you are the worst person ever" on me. It's just a conversation. I know a guy that works for one of the ISP's that gets the same way. It's a sensitive topic because the companies are so hated publicly, I know, but don't take it out on me.

We needed it but it may bite us
What a Tuel replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There may still be a tie at 11-5. Damnit, now we have to lose to the 49ers too. Why? Are you assuming that a win against Arizona means one less AFC win? That's the only way this works for you guys. But even then it's nonsensical because it doesn't work like that. -
We needed it but it may bite us
What a Tuel replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, yes we do. If you are confused by my explanation then I have no idea what the heck you are referring to a win coming back to bite us. A loss to the cardinals hurts our chances to getting to playoff contention. That's the bottomline. If you say you'd rather trade our win over the cardinals for a win over the ravens (simply swapping them), then I could understand. But a loss by itself cannot come back to bite us. -
