Kaepernick and the National Anthem
What a Tuel replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You've got to wonder if some of it has to do with the Fantasy Football hype dying down. I know a ton of people who watch all of the games just because they want to see their fantasy players play, and if they don't have anyone playing they don't. If the fantasy football numbers are dying down, I can see viewers going too. How are these ratings compared to before Fantasy Football exploded? -
I can take that they were better than us - they were. But I am so damn tired of this wooest us, we are the bills so we are destined to lose attitude. You guys embrace the defeatist attitude way too well. We lost because they outplayed us. Just like the Cardinals lost to us because we outplayed them. That's the bottom line.

Currently have 7 million in cap space. I'm no expert but trade for him with an immediate salary renegotiation? Turn some of that salary into guaranteed money up front?
-
Why is Jay Cutler better than Tyrod Taylor again? All I can see is cost. Not sure why people are worried about paying too much for what they constantly harp being the most important position in the game. And on a second look, Cutler is on a $18 million salary right now. Not really cheap. If the Bears cut him, (they probably won't) he will probably sign somewhere for less, but really? Cutler is the solution to our problems?

trade for him!

Better one is the defense used the ignore feature on Ajayi! Get it? Hahahahahaha. Darby put Landry on ignore? But seriously guys, its a long season. 5 weeks ago we were 0-2. Two weeks from there we were 2-2, and two weeks from there we were 4-2, and now we are 4-3. Let the season play out before you make up the doomsday scenarios. Meanwhile, the optimists will keep rooting for the team, and looking at playoff scenarios because that is what fans do. We look forward.

This part is so infuriating because the transgender person was offered special accommodations, and even to allow people who didn't mind to change with her. But no, she HAS to be in the same room with the people who do not share her gender. She just HAS to. How the is this not alienating the privacy of people who do not feel comfortable? She is specifically pointing out that she will not stop until she is in the same room as them? For what reason? To feel normal? She has to see other young girls changing in the lockerroom to feel normal? Like how do people not see this as ridiculous? They solved the problem, she doesn't have to change alone, and the privacy of the other students is not alienated, but nope, it isn't equal rights until she gets to alienate their privacy.

I disagree especially on Griffin and Keenum. Would you trade uninjured Griffin for Taylor right now, straight up? Keenum has 7 INTS in the last 3 games, and is about to be benched in a run first offense. Hoyer isn't better than Tyrod, but he is cheaper, and had a streak going there for a second, I'll give you that. So next year when Hoyer is a free agent, you think we are better off cutting Tyrod and picking up Hoyer and starting him?

Rex gave them a lot of trouble in New England last year against Brady. I think I remember that they hit Brady a record number of times for his career. That's when they were pretty healthy too I believe. Defense is going to have to help us out a lot. Maybe Dareus will finally play. If Shady is limited again, I say put Gillislee in 100% and let him get into a rhythm. -
I am not sure Siemian will hold up as a suitable starter for Denver. Time will tell though. Who exactly are you referring to? It's very easy to say "sign a vet". Let's make it easy with hindsight, who would you have signed this past offseason after you cut Tyrod? Cousins ($20 a year - Resigned with Redskins) Bradford ($18 a year - Resigned with Eagles) Osweiler ($18 a year - Signed with Texans) Fitzpatrick ($12 a year - Resigned with Jets) Griffin ($7.5 a year - Signed with Browns) Hoyer ($2 a year - Signed with Bears) Keenum (3.3 a year - Resigned with Rams) You can see the rest of the scrubs here: http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2016QB.php I am all for that. But I just don't understand why people plot to get rid of Tyrod when no one has stepped up to replace him. Believe me, the staff evaluates Cardale, Taylor and even Manuel to determine who is doing well. On top of that, Whaley has never stopped looking for a QB. To wash our hands of Tyrod is addition by subtraction. Just won't end well unless someone steps in and does better.

The way the AFC West and North is playing, 10-6 will definitely be the low point for the wildcards. so yeah, 6 of the next 9 at least, and with a loss to the Patriots, 6 of the next 8. We've got a 3 home game stretch in the last 4 which will be nice. -
What stops us from drafting a QB while Tyrod mans the position, and then said drafted QB can eventually take his place if he proves himself worthy? What is wrong with that? Is your plan to cut Tyrod next year and start Cardale? Is that your plan?

16-3! -
I don't know if it's turning on each other or just returning fire at bitter fans who only come out of the woodwork when we lose to snipe at the team, embrace the loss, and tell you that they told you so. They did the same after week 2, and disappeared for 4 weeks. (wonder why). Now they are back after one loss and won't be denied their glorious bad jokes.

They are all beatable. We just need to keep our heads up, one week at a time! Same for the players. If we can get to the Jaguars game at 6-4 I like our chances with Sammy hopefully back. If we get to the Jaguars at 5-5, I like our chances a little less with them bordering on locking Sammy down for the rest of the season, and us needing to win 5 of 6 to get to 10-6. Good news is that outside of the Seahawks, the last 9 games are against AFC opponents. So we can control our own destiny still. -
Good thing we have Cardale Jones under contract so its a non issue. But by all means, "invest" in Cardale Jones, by presumably throwing him into the pool because he will either sink or swim right? That's worked out real well in the past. Meanwhile get rid of the best QB on the roster without replacing him with someone as good or better. The job is Tyrod's until someone takes it from him. Until then, he is and should be our starting QB.

Man his GF has him whipped. I can just imagine his GF going "Colin, I bought you a present, you are going to wear it to the press conference riiiiiiight? Puhleeeeeesse" -
but 5 years!!!!!

Yep, we probably could have had this conversation after Week 2, and then we pulled off 4 straight. But yeah those were wins that weren't against the right teams. Our AFC record is 1-2. Hardly unable to overcome that with 8 AFC games remaining.

SNF--Seahawks at Cardinals--terrible game
What a Tuel replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hilarious Watching the individual expressions of the people behind them is entertaining too. All I needed was the Cardinals to punt that ball away. It's unlikely that Lamar Miller gets 18 points tomorrow, but with the Cardinals defense playing against David Johnson and Haushka, I just needed them to punt and win the game 3-0. No, the Seahawks had to block the punt and proceed to make it a 40 point difference instead of a 18. No way Miller gets 40. Freaking seahawks. I'm glad they tied. -
Yep those Chiefs have had some success alright. If we had the Chiefs playoff history from the last 10 years, you would be saying the exact same thing. For sure be upset that we loss. Do not make the mistake of assuming I am not pissed off that we lost a game we should have won. But so have all those other teams. Pittsburgh lost to Miami Chiefs lost to Houston Denver lost to San Diego Hell even the New England got shut out by us. Sure maybe they recover, maybe they don't, but the season isn't over for you to make that claim. This is a recurring theme with Bills fans, and I find it annoying. We did the same damn thing after we lost to Miami and Kansas City in 2014. People gave right the up. Said it was impossible at 5-5 to make the playoffs. But, we very nearly did. Now maybe we don't play the game, and so it doesn't matter, but Bills fans are so beaten down that at the slightest bit of adversity they give up. We are 4-3. The season is not lost. We didn't make the playoffs in the first 6 weeks, and we didn't get eliminated in the playoffs in the first 7. That's why they play the whole season.
