  1. Not ragging on you, just the whole narrative that Sammy Watkins needs to put up or shut up because he isn't wowing you. The guy undeniably makes the team better. I just don't get it.
  2. This kind of nonsense is too prevalent on this board and out in public. The guy comes back and has an immediate impact on the game with a reduced snap count, and we say "trade him, he makes our team worse"
  3. You can't say "upgrade the passing game" and then throw around terms like Hoyer and rookie qb.
  4. So we are talking playoffs, 2018/2019? 2020? When will the rookie be ready? Tyrod gives us a better chance (hence the cost) than placeholder Hoyer, and we can still draft the rookie.
  5. Sooooo is Harvin giving up on the Bills like he did last year? I was pissed last week when he didn't play against the Jaguars because of "migraines" but gave him a pass because those are brutal, but it was reminiscent of his not playing against the Jaguars last year "in contemplation of retirement" and both were pivotal games in our seasons. Thank god Sammy played this year. So the migraines still a problem? Or did he just have his fun and moment in the spotlight as the savior of the Bills season and now he is done?
  6. Yep, just like Julio Jones. I hate to keep beating that drum and time will tell with Sammy but you guys act as if he is done for because he didn't fit your schedule to greatness. Get a grip.
  7. You are splitting hairs here. You can look at trade value all you want, the fact remains that in order to move up and draft Julio Jones, Atlanta had to give up more draft picks, and they did. You can say they got better value all you want, but they traded more draft opportunities, bottom line. To draft Sammy, would you prefer we gave up what Atlanta did? Or what the Bills did?
  8. I knew something was up on that pass he whiffed on. It was like he was going to lay out for it, but then changed his mind like something wasn't right. We were rewinding it at home wondering why he pulled back.
  9. Bills division champs! Link to the magic playoff machine!
  10. I am comparing Julios 1st 3 years to Sammys 1st 3 years which is fair right? They did move up further, true. But they gave up a boatload of picks. 1st Round 2011 (Pick 27) 2nd Round 2011 (Pick 59) 4th Round 2011 (Pick 124) 1st Round 2012 (Pick 22) 4th Round 2012 (Pick 118) Bills gave up: 1st Round 2014 (Pick 9) 1st Round 2015 (Pick 19) 4th Round 2015 (Pick 115) Atlanta definitely came down further, but they definitely gave up more in the end.
  11. Yeah, I think these guys have it for you. I like Philly's defense against the Bengals without AJ Green which is their only conflicting point. Two QB league and I have: Roethlisberger vs NYG Brady vs LA Kaepernick @ Chicago I think I am overthinking this but do I slip in Kaepernick? I am in the playoffs but I have a chance to snag a bye week if the guy above me loses, and I maximize my points to get the tiebreaker. Also I've got a mashup of RB's that are a bit hard to predict: Murray vs BUF Hightower vs DET Coleman vs KC Asiata vs DAL Which two do I start to maximize points?
  12. Awesome! just need Denver, Pittsburgh, Houston, and Kansas City to go a combined 3-17 in the remaining 20 games!!
  13. Wrong. You can hardly tell them apart over the 1st two seasons. Then there is always the QB argument in Manuel/Orton/Taylor combo vs Ryan. And I am not comparing them, I am simply pointing out that we shouldn't give up on him because of short term injuries. Atlanta gave up far more for Julio and are more patient with him. Bills would do good to do the same with Sammy.
  14. Not to mention, at this rate, Julio Jones missed about the same number of games his first 3 seasons and put up near identical stats (remainder of this season pending) Sammy has the talent. Giving up on him would be a huge mistake.
  15. Need Miami to lose 3 of their next 5, or we get into messy tiebreaker stuff at 10-6, and if they did win 3/5, they are at 2-1 division right now, we'd then need their two losses to be against division opponents in order to have any chance at the tiebreaker. 3 of their 5 remaining games are division games. Miami is a threat despite my belief that they aren't a good team. We need to root for them to tank against the Ravens sunday.
  16. Let's see how the next 2 weeks go first, shall we?
  17. Wanted to beat the Texans? They played an awful game all the way through to the 4th quarter when Carr and the offense decided it was desperation time or they'd lose. Carolina? In the words of a bills fan, "they are a 4-7 team so they don't count"
  18. Not to mention he took part in individuals and warmups I believe. I think he will be fine for Sunday.
  19. Follows the trend I guess. I say 32-28 Bills. Raiders last minute comeback attempt falls short for once this season.
  20. That play won me a week in fantasy haha! Didn't think he had a shot at the endzone from the start.
  21. Once again I will point to Julio Jones. I'm glad you don't want to call him a bust, because he isn't. Atlanta gave up far more for Julio, and they are sure as hell glad they didn't give up on him during year 3.
  22. Or you know, locked him up for the remaining prime of his career.......
  23. Better shape than last year but the wildcard teams have better records. It can never come together for us can it? Good news is that we play the Dolphins, who also plays the Patriots, so those two games could swing them out. We play Steelers, so we have the power to keep them down. Broncos plays the Patriots, Titans and the Chiefs. Chiefs have the Titans and the Broncos. Titans have the Broncos, Chiefs, and Texans Bottom line though, is that we have to win our games. At least 4 of the next 5.
  24. I agree. Too much fawning and desperation over QB's these days leads to a lot of jumping to conclusions about viability. He has done ok so far but he needs more starts.
