Buffalo Is Going To Beat Houston
Tu-Toned replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here would be my rationale: We play better on the road and it might just have something to do with them presssing a bit at home to make a good showing. These guys knew what the expectations where before the season started, and I think playing at home has caused them to fail to live up to those lofty expectations and play tight. They will be loose and focused more after the bye week and away from the home pressure.Houston has an awesome D that specializes in getting after the QB, and those short middle screens to CJ and Fred that Gailey has been dialing up might be just the ticket, that and short slants to Stevie. Also, I think that Chandler plays well, maybe a couple more TD's.I think that our D will surprise them some too, as I look for them to rebound nicely. Houston is due for a little let down, and the NFL likes things nice and tight for the games in December. We get to Schaub some. With all of that being said, I think we have a better shot at beating the Pats. -
Boy, I am glad that you set him straight, I was about to chime in to let everyone know, that this is a chat site, where people offer different takes on their evaluations of games, players, coaches, etc..and as long as it doesn't get too personal, I would think that all dialouges are ok, even welcomed. People need to shed the thick skin on this site, and I really do not belive that people will worry to much about being banned from posting on and NFL teams website. I love this site, and am on it daily, if not hourly, reading way more than posting, but if somehow i suddenly lost access to it, I don't think that I would be headed to the woodshed. I really belive that people on here rever this site way too much, as if it is the holy grail or something, it is a chat room website, let's not lose perspective here.

Why don't you just go somewhere and Just Jack O...oops, kidding, see I still have a sense of humor, amazing, as this latest epic fail is still really fresh on my mind, and I am feeling better already. Again, I liken it to being beaten as a kid, being calloused to the point that I feel no pain any more, so go ahead and take another lash or two. BTW, I bet the Adirondacks are beautiful really any time of the year, but especially fall. I will be in the Smokies, and sorry that I even mentioned Tennessee in the original thread, I should have just said the mountains somewhere. Trading a 4 hour drive for an 8 hour one, and realizing what I will encounter at my destination will be worth the extra drive time, as opposed to seeing us get thrashed and embarressed by our most hated rivalry, and even if we did manage to win, big deal, not with what our record will be by that time, tired of moral victories anyway.

That last pass to Stevie really had me seing red. He was open, prob. about the 50 yard line or so, might pick up another 10-15 yards if the pass is even in the same area code. Fitz would have had the first down, clock would have been down to about 23 seconds, and chances are Stevie would have gotten out of bounds therby saving the timeout for the FG. We would have had to pick up another 10-15 yard to give Lindell a fighting chance, possibly another sideline route or a quick completion and a spike. Fitz, just like last game, or was it the one before, promptly throws a wounded duck about 10 yards high and out of bounds. The protection looked significant enough that he didn't have to hurry either, so not making excuses for the D, that's a whole nother story, sorry, but this one, like many before is squarely on Fitzmistake's shoulders, or should I say arm, no, that might mislead people into thinking that he has one.Geeeeeezzzzzzz!WTF!!!!!!!

Was fully aware of that, leaving Thursday morning, headed south instead of north, but thanks for the tip, I really can't be mad at you, as I have used up all of my anger on this team. Don't care if it is Barkley or another prospect, but I think that we all have to agree by now, that we must draft a QB early next year. Don't care if it takes him 3 years to develop. I am still a fan, but I will keep my distance for a while and spare myself the heartache.

Hate to say it, but we have to mail it in now, which btw should be no problem for this idot coaching staff. I was basing my decision to drive up from Pittsburgh for the Miami game on the outcome of this game, that sealed it for me, oh well, at least the wifey is happy. I am going to my cabin in Tennesse to do some fly fishing that weekend. I will at least be peeking at scores and watching some of the other games, but I just can't stand watching this traiwreck of a defense and our moronic QB imploding week in and week out, we are toast anyways. Just wish we had a tougher schedule down the stretch. Our linebackers have to be the weakest group in the whole NFL, and possibly college, maybe even D II. I have never seen rb's, and short sceen/slant wr's come through the line with almost zero resistance, and then find even less resisrance in the secondary. Wanny should conduct nothing but open field tackling drills at every practice from here on out, for the entire practice duration. Hopefully he doesn't conduct another practice, but if he does, if I was Chan, I would adamantly insist on it.

How come there was no 2 point conversion attempt?
Tu-Toned replied to ThrowingFitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read this morning that Ben R wiaved the extra point team off of the field and then went for two, he apparently waived Tomlin off as well, why can't Fitz do that? I cannot stomache this coaching staff any longer, confident teams try to tie the game, losers play conservatively.I mean this is a very fragile team physcologically, and now we are finished. -
Bills Sabres (penguins close second) Pirates My Dad is a big Pittsburgh Sports Fan, and when the Pirates were playing the Orioles in the, I belive 70/71 series, I was a huge Orioles fan, Boog,Palmer later, etc..My Dad was mad as hell when they lost the first two games he was not happy and apparently my rooting for the orioles was really grating on him. So he told me he would give me $5.00 for every game the Pirates won after the first two. Wa La instant Pirate Fan, and they came back and won the series, and again in 79, by that time we had moved to Pittsburgh, I became a huge fan especially Clemente and got to see him play a bunch, an actually attended a 79 world series game. The 79 one was much more impactfull, but I was old enough (barely) to remeber the 64 and 65 AFL Bills Championships, remeber yes, comprehend, eh not so much. Was happy to see penguins win three cups, but make no mistake about it, if and when the Bills reach the pinnacle, I will probably wet myself with glee.

Yes, they looked awesome yesterday, I vote to keep them as road unis from here on out. They look a lot more intimadating in these.

Better yet, Lovie Howell, and btw it's Thurston Howel III

Since there seems to be some agreemnet that Chan is nothing more than a good OC, and Rex is s defensive genius, it makes for a perfect marriage. Not sure who we could get for head coach, but I like the idea. Problem is that Rex is unlikely to get canned as his team's injuries will prob get him off the hook. He does have his defenses prepared to play and play with passion. If nothing more, I am pretty certain that we would get more media attention, you know waiting for his quotes, and for when he puts his foot in his mouth, no pun intended. But seriously, I think that the idea has some merit. Maybe he brings Maybin back with him and we finally generate some pass rush. Flame away!!

I feel your pain man, I too am a long time Bills fan in steeler country, sundays aren't much fun around here for me. Do you drive up to the games every sunday? -

Refs Love Brady...just an observation
Tu-Toned replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw that and it was late too, I agree with the other poster as well, I saw quite a bit of holding on our D. Not excuses, but I believe that the leauge does have a hidden agenda, and the refs are complicit with it. There are many ways to effect game outcomes that are not as obvious to the untrained eye. -
How did YOUR actions affect the game?
Tu-Toned replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I kept switching from the living room to the bedroom, and when in the living room good things man, when I went to the bedroom, bad things man. I tried to stay in the living room for the balance of the game, and that worked pretty good up until the half and a little in to the third, then it wouldn't have mattered if I flew to the moon to watch the rest, or stuck a rabbits foot up my arse. No amount of superstition was going to change that outcome. -
Ah Chan Man look, nothing personal, it's like just a little ego thing I have going ya know, nothing personal, but we needed those last three points for tiebreakers ok?

santonil holmes may be out for season too
Tu-Toned replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to defend him, cause I think that he is overrated anyways, but that was just a natural reaction to the pain. He did not conciously do that. -
My weekly prediction; So far I'm on a roll!!! Why we
Tu-Toned replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, we should not be afraid of these guys anymore, let's just hope that our players have the same attitude. It's go to swing the other way sooner or later, and now is as good a time as ever.
