Ed Hochuli in the Pats game

I heard that he attacked the pizza delivery boy at his hotel after the game last night. Ah, eureka, somebody else is figuring things out. Oh! but how could all of those players and coaches be in on it? Hello people, you don't need players and coaches to force the outcome that you need. -
Pete, I realize that my hair adds about 2-3 inches, but man, are you a short littlle SOB.

Agreed, and take off those friggin granny glasses too. I think they are distracting Chan, doesn't he relaize that they make contacts nowadays that can allow you to see both close up and far away? -
We was stormin' through the training camp that year And I could tell we was coming And I thought, aw, we're back 'Til we turned around and pointed at the team and said That picture from our memory That day we were drilled in Frisco Bay We just gave it away The Bills said, let's just give it away And that big opportunity at home against the Pats Where we had so much hope that day We just gave it away We said, let's give it away Just give it away There ain't nothin' at the Ralph worth fightin' over Oh, and we're all tired of fightin' anyway So let's just give it away So I tried to move on But I found that each team I held Just reminded me of that day Hmmm When that Indy game door swung wide open We flung poop that day We said, give it away Just give it away And I said, now, Chaney, don't you even want Your group to finish strong He said, no, I'm gonna give it away I'll Just give it away Just give it away There ain't nothin' at our house worth fightin' over Oh, and we're all tired of fightin' anyway So let's just give it away [instrumental interlude] So we are still right here where were before Along with all the other things We don't care about anymore Mmmm, like that beatdown from the Pats that second day That night by New England way We said, let's just give it away Well, I can't give it away And that big house where our boys play Where all our memories were made We said, give it away Well, we can't give it away I've got a empty house, and no ring And a aching broken heart Full of pain and I can't even give it away

I like him, and I think that we have a chance at him: KC - needs a QB (most thinking Geno Smith) Jags - don't think they are satisfied with Gabbert, possible QB pick, also have Poz. Raiders - need a QB Titans - Prob set at QB, but could draft after us, and is likely. Panthers - Took Kuchely lasy year, will they take another MLB? Saints - Have Vilma, but could grab Teo if the draft ahead of us, big if. Cardinals - need a QB badly. Chargers - could take a LB or QB, likely to draft after Bills especially with the win last week. Lions - have drafted heavy on D, and likely picking after the Bills Eagles - Could steal Teo, but again, very well could be drafting after us. My dream scenario would be to grab Teo if available, and trade back up to early second round and grab a QB, any will do right now, and like somebody else mentioned, keep drafting a QB early every draft until we get it right. So right now, the only semi-locks to draft ahead of us are KC, JAGs, and possibly the Raiders. I see only the Jags as a possibility to snag Teo, and they have other pressing needs, and again Poz, who I think they are happy with, and he still has to have a few years left on his current contract.

No so sure about that, most project in the top 10, but if we examine closely we see that: KC - needs a QB (most thinking Geno Smith) Jags - don't think they are satisfied with Gabbert, possible QB pick, also have Poz. I think I know why CJ doesn't get on the field more...

Excellent point, and if you watched Brady on Monday, he performs this to perfection, the misdirection, get the defense flowing away from the intended play direction, and then bam. Hell they had Hernandez lined up in the backfiled next to Brady on one play, fooled the hell out of the D. I like a lot of Chan's plays, he just doesn't know when to call them, and I can no longer live with his game day mismanagement and coaching scared tendancies. -
Without reading the other comments here, the first thing that comes to my mind, is what a terribly embarrasing situation this is for the NFL, big black mark in my mind, and certaily a credibility issue for them for years to come. Maybe this will help to corral Goodell some, and keep him from straying too far from what the important issues are and will help to reign in some of his self-appointed far reaching powers.

Texanites vs Cheatriots - Game thread

Only if the crap the bed again, and if I am not mistaken, that would tie them for SB losses with us. -
Wow are those big, have you been pumping iron Fitz?

That block in the back really had me seeing red. The guy obviously took a dive and it worked. When they showed the first replay, the ref that threw the flag was about 10 yards ahead of the incident and running the same way as Gilmore, he caught the guy falling out of the corner of his eye and didn't really see the whole thing. You would think that another official with a clearer site would have over ruled, it's not like there isn't precedent, as we commonly see them do it, "there is no foul on the play". Anytime the crew is headed up by Steratore, we are in trouble.

Can they get anything they want. Thanks for the explanation, didn't think about two plays being called in the huddle, no wonder the QB is always in a hurry. I still think that they should use another term for kill.
-
Just curious, seems to me that all of the QB's have this same command at the LOS pre-snap. Also seems that when they yell this, the play is invaribly an audible from a pass to run, as I really do not see or hear any other command prior to the ball being snapped. I realize that the leauge is a copy cat one, bit is this not giving, at least for anybody other than the Pats, the defense a big advantage? I would think that they would at least be able to pick up trends, whether or not they have enough time to react quickly enough is another issue, although how much reaction time and subsequent communications are necessary when you go from a pass play to a run and the defense knows it? Same thing with the states being called out like Palmer screaming Alabama last night, he threw a quick, no read strike every time he yelled it. Just strikes me as odd, at least you would think they would have a different word for kill, like sugar or something, the defense would not be able to tell if he is killing the original play, or just an add on audible like a command for the RB to stay in and pick up a rushing LB or something. It could be that kill is just a rouse, and the real play is communicated after that as the QB goes through the snap count. Maybe 1-80, is a off RT run or 1-65 means a screen or something. Thoughts/explanations?

Are we wearing them this Sunday? Well you know not us, but the players.

What do think we are your personal secretary or something? Kidding of course. I would imagine it going something like, "siht, I wish we had that R2D2 dude on our team". -
Gotta disagree a bit with you here, from my vantage point, he was all over the field. I saw him come clean across the field and drag, I believe a wr on a quick out, down for a very short gain, and saw other hustle type plays as well from him. He ended up with two solos and 7 assists plus gthe pick. But do also agree with you that we don't really miss him all that much, and would much rather have Williams, Anderson, Byrd.

I saw another article that said if we win out and both Pitt and Cince lose two, we are in? Is this correct? Because if it is, it is cetainly doable, the win out part will be the toughest of the three.

Some observations about the game and telecast

I never had the pleasure, but my older brother always talks about him. Apparently he would deficate and sling it at people, as well as pleasure himself in front of the zoo visistors. That would be great for primetime viewing.
