Here is how I assess this coach and gm
dbow replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan is 3 and 13 in divisional games thus far. That is so far below mediocre it's pathetic. Forget about the talent level of the team. It's obvious this guy is a lousy coach. Maybe the game has evolved beyond him or perhaps his age is getting the better of him. One thing is for sure you can't ever win your division if you don't beat any divisional teams. Even if we luck into a franchise quarterback his talents will likely be wasted on this team. Ralph Wilson is holding my fandom hostage with this pathetic front office and coaches. -
Positives/negatives from today. What are yours?
dbow replied to miserable_fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Positive Spiller, Byrd, Stevie Negative Kelsay, run defense, linebackers, coaching Why have Brad Smith take a shot down field when it was time to run out the clock on a close game? Fitz. I lost count on the number of bad passes from this guy. He is killing this offense. Why are we sticking with this Forest Gump QB? -
I liked the call because the cards already made a 61 yarder. If we had tried and missed then they would have been real close to that guys range. Not that I trust our D but they did an OK job today. Trying to pin them deep was the right call IMHO.

Hard to be in first place when your 0 and 2 in the division. As much as I want to feel good about this win it just feels like we beat another so so team. Not to mention it took divine intervention to get to over time. Don't get me wrong. I want them to win. I would just feel better if our play makers could make plays when the game is on the line.

I don't see anyone getting fired no matter how bad the team does until after the Bills get a new owner. Ralph has bigger issues to deal with I think.

Tate's golden shower is awesome. lmao. Pure juvenile genius.

Some where Nix is holding a baby looking for the intangibles that may make him worth drafting in 20 years or so.

Former Ravens owner Art Modell has passed away.

I agree with your first part. But I think a few people will blame Ralph for not having a plan in place to assure the team stays in Buffalo will have plenty of bad things to say. I don't claim to be a Ralph Wilson fan. But I'm grateful for the great memories I have of the Bills in their golden age. I'll remeber the good and the bad when Ralph passes. But I'll keep the negative to a small wimper out of respect for what Raph accomplished in life. -
To bad about Naaman Roosevelt. The kid didn't have the most upside. All he did was make plays with some decent hands.

Woman sues Dallas Cowboys because...
dbow replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This case should be viewed as good example of whats wrong with civil courts in general. The bar is set so low that people sue for virtually any thing they can get away with. The lawyers that take on these cases are the biggest part of the problem. And because of the cost involved most companies would rather settle out of court than fight. When you get right down to it this is a classic example of extortion. The juges involved in these cases should be ashamed of themselves. And yet I'm sure these are the kind of people that end up in congress. America the beautiful? Where has thou gone. -
Plax to work out for Patriots per ESPN Text
dbow replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a report that Plax was willing to sign for the league minimum. Seems like a small investment to see what this guy has left. The coaches talk about how compition is good. So why not add one more veteren reciever to push these younger guys? -
With so many "home" games in December a 4-3 start could be good enough to sneak into the playoffs. I think they have a decent chance to be 5-2 at the bye. With their two loses coming from New England and the 49ers. If so I think we may win 10 or 11 games. Of course it's all speculation at this point. But not to many teams scare me on this years schedule.

Looks like blackout rule won't apply here
dbow replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets face it. The leagues attempt at relaxing the black out rule was a half a$$ measure at beast. If they really wanted to relax the rule they wouldn't have added the financial incentive to turn it down for the small market teams. I still think if your gonna have a black out rule it should be measured by the smallest stadium seating capacity. -

Lets not forget the Bills want the county to spend upwards of 250 million on the stadium. That money wont come from just season ticket holders. So don't give me crap about how I shouldn't get the game for free because I'm not contributing. They make way more from advertisers than they do from ticket sales. And those advertisers want as many people as possible to watch the game. The black out rule is anti productive to whose paying the most. -
T Master the wheels that move the world are greased with money. It's just how it has always been. It's how it will always be until civilization crumbles. The wealthiest people in the world didn't earn it clocking in from a 9 to 5. They basically gambled with the ponzi scheme at what ever stock exchange. As far as Drew goes. He got screwed the last time he was franchise tagged because he got hurt and had to play out a contract that vastly under payed him for the hall of fame statistics he was putting up year after year. He wasn't gonna let that happen again. I for one don't blame him. Also I would point out the NFL would still be raking in billions even if they weren't paying such large salaries. So all things considered I'd rather see the players get a nice slice of the pie instead of the owners getting the balk of it. The trickle down effect means more of that money will reach other parts of the economy. Just my two sense.

They probably caught him on a bad day. Which is lucky because he is a hard man to catch. Or is it a hard time catching. I'll be more interested in what he has to say in 5 years he he makes his HOF speech.

NFL Adopts new blackout policy
dbow replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I a;ways thought the bar should be set in regards to the smallest stadium. If teams have to give more from ticket sales when they go over their set limit then I don't see many teams going with the 85%. Jacksonville, Tampa Bay are the most likely to set the bar that low. I'm betting Ralph goes with 90 or 95%. -
No more bad karma. Lets kick some Patriot a$$ and win this division. 11 & 5 sounds great to me.

It's my personal belief that it was the lying and attempted cover up that lead to the harsh punishments. The bounties are bad enough but they are not new or unique in the NFL. With the old school players suing over concussions I think Goodell needed to make a big move to change the culture of the game. The Saints just chose the wrong time to challenge the league office. Had they owned up to what was going on 2 years ago, their penalty would have been minor in comparison. Their attempts at deceit were likely seen as contempt for the commissioner and the league office. As for proof. I'm not sure the league needed to prove anything beyond a shadow of a doubt. The new CBA doesn't give the players much room to maneuver. Since Goodell is both judge and executioner.
