In politics and governance, which rests on precedent? Absolutely. Even our laws work this way. Once precedent is established, turnabout is fair-play. This is why what the left is doing is so short sighted.

He believes that Ukrainian corruption, with heavy Biden involvement, has been debunked. Nevermind the fact that indictments concerning Burisma were issued yesterday, that Hunter Biden is listed in the indictment, and that testimony related to the Biden’s and Burisma is already on the record in European courts. He’s not interested in exculpatory facts which tear down his narrative, but rather is determined to cherry-pick minor items, many of which are outright lies being peddled, in order to protect his pre-determined conclusions.

What no one on the left seems to realize, in their myopic rush, is that exactly like what they did with the nuclear option, this will backfire on them. They have turned the Constitutional provision for removing a duly elected President into a political tool, doing so to overturn the results of a legitimate election; citing policy differences as crimes. Just as the entire Federal Judiciary, including the SCOTUS, has been turned against them through their own short sightedness, so too will this be. This is a weapon which will now be used against them, and will destroy the country in the process. Impeachment proceedings will be the new order of the day every time the House majority is held by the opposition party of the President.

... What? ... None of that is actually true. Not a single word. Your entire premise rests on the notion that people telling what are obvious lies, which is demonstrated in the released transcripts, are actually truth telling. The CIA tells you that Hunter Biden, a crackhead who has zero qualifications, is placed at a Ukrainian energy firm with a million dollar salary while his father is the Vice President; and his father tells the Ukrainian government to suspend an investigation into his son or the United States will withhold aid payments... that everything was on the up and up? That nothing untoward happened... and you believe them? An agency who’s main purpose is to destabilize and overthrow legitimate governments, and to install corrupt puppets who will keep their people impoverished in order to collect “US aid payments” they put in their own pockets after kickbacks are provided to those in power in the US, and to protect the elite power structures built on top of global banking and military-industrial interests to the detriment of the 8 billion people they hold in relative poverty and perpetually war? And you believe them? It couldn’t be that the current President is working to dismantle this network, and change foreign policy (which the primary source evidence indicates), and that the CIA is desperately fighting for it’s life in order to protect its own role in protecting the global elites? You are a stupid person.

The rights are absolute, their protection is not. Tyrants gonna tyrant.
