Because that's not how professional organizations announce things. If it's intentional, then it's amateur hour. You don't treat players like that, and expect to sign new players of any quality. Professionalism is important for an organization. I agree, but you don't leak it out to the media. You simply part ways once the season has ended after informing the player directly.

There are some serious leaks within this organization which need to be dealt with.

I'd say yes, assuming the pay cut he's willing to take is major. He'd make for great depth as a DB off the bench, primarily as a safety, but could fill in as a low depth CB in a pinch if he had to.

Apparently he's out of Hawaii by way of St. Louis, New England, Philly, NY Jets and Detroit. Been bouncing around the league since being drafted in the 4th round in 2011. Played for Rex last year and the year before.
