  1. ... In your quoted post you are judging history through the lens of modern American morality. You're actively engaging in the behavior I just described as absurd.
  2. Pray tell, how do Christians desire to control others in the name of religion?
  3. mea culpa I misunderstood you.
  4. I strongly disagree. That's been the evolution, but not the intent. At the time of the Founding, there was roughly a 50-50 split over whether or not political parties should exist within the government at all.
  5. The Constitution doesn't lend itself to a two party system; if it did the two major parties wouldn't have any need to craft law to protect their interests. As far as Christians aligning themselves with one party; Democrats campaign on largely unChristian values and make up about half of the country's population. The Republicans need to build their platforms around the values of Christians, or Christians will leave for greener pastures, and Republicans won't win.
  6. The Constitution absolutely does not set up a two party system, and you don't believe that Christians should be represented in government?
  7. Abraham Lincoln wanted to send them all to Africa as well. It was a common view point until around 1870ish. You can't judge history through the lense of 2016 modern American morality.
  8. He gets credited with TD down passes if he makes a one yard throw, and his receiver breaks 10 tackles on the way to the endzone with 50 yards after the catch and 49 after contact. Fumbles work the same way.
  9. One of these things is not like the others.
  10. Never mind the absolute idiocy of judging the colonial world through the prism of 21st century social justice.
  11. I'm on record, having said that the O-Line has looked great this year, with apologies to Simon for shitting on Simon in a John Miller disagreement, in which I was wrong after watching the all-22. This is one of the best lines in the NFL, and the best I've seen in Buffalo since Ballard, Ritcher, Hull, Parker, Wolford, Fina, Frerotte. LeShady had this to say: "{snip}it’s the guys up front. I mean, they’re really getting their blocks. They’re hitting every time. There’s not a favorite left or right, they’re all blocking together. That’s a lot of credit to the guys up front and they’re making my job easy just to go one on one with defenders, that’s not that hard, so that’s the reason I think I’m playing like this.{snip}" Would love to see thoughts, articles, and o-line film break downs here.
  12. Jeez... Look at the size of Felton's arms.
  13. Mulligan without question. Gragg? We'll probably never know.
  14. This thread created with apologies to Jerry Hughes. But yes, he's been top notch.
  15. I think he does quite a few "Hail Mary's" and "Our Father's" as relates to Gragg's injury.
  16. You were saying? LOL Well played.
  17. I think that's overstating it a bit, but he did have a good game. Nice big secondary target, seems solid after the catch. He's a guy that I wouldn't quite say you can dream on, but I'm excited about his upside, and pleased with his level of production thus far. Yeah, and he needs to start wearing gloves. Why would you turn down that advantage?
  18. This is exactly where I find myself. Exactly.
  19. John, in the euphoria of a 29 point win, riding the wave of a 4 game win streak including wins against NE at home, AZ, and LA at home; I'll sip a bit of your kool-aid, and say that you have to get to 4-2 if you want to get to 17-2. Savor it. I'll be back to my regular pessimistic self by Tuesday.
  20. Hughes was absolutely dominate again. He's been reminding me of Bruce this year.
  21. He's been a very slow starter in general, taking time to get into the flow of the game.
  22. I got so sick of his calls that i muted the TV and listened to the radio feed, even though it didn't sync up. It was far, far better that way.
  23. I've been one of his biggest critics, not because of his "growing pains", but because I think/thought he was at/near his ceiling. He showed growth today, and is playing with confidence, believing his eyes. If this is who he can be, and does so consistently, we can win with him for the next 4-5 years until his speed/agility declines. One of the best of his career, IMHO, pre-all-22.
