Our Dishonest Former President
TakeYouToTasker replied to grinreaper's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What do people think may have been the economic fallout to punishing the banks and prosecuting their executives, on trumped up charges non-the-less? -
2017 NFL Draft: Round 1 discussion

I think it's going to be very hard for us to move back at this point. -
For those of you who like big women.....

Can a Judge do that?

In addition to that, I'd be interested in their "stack ranking" both historically, by era against themselves, and against other courts, percentages visible. -
I'm curious to hear details about the one time rate for the repatriation of corporate earnings stockpiled internationally.

RICO laws are anti-free society. They encourage asset seizure as a form of taxation, and once assets have been seized they are nearly impossible to get back, as the standard is that a citizen has to prove a negative to the entity which seized the assets, while that entity has a vested interest in keeping the assets.

How is it possible that you're not too embarrassed to show your face around here anymore? -
question for capitalists here
TakeYouToTasker replied to Watkins_deep's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You touched on the entire purpose of limited government, constrained by a constitution. Edit: this is also the reason I believe the best way to organize a government is as a meritocracy. -

I'm curious why you feel this way.

Australia to Raise Bar for Citizenship
TakeYouToTasker replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I am, quite literally, laughing my ass off. You have absolutely no clue how much of an ignorant ass you're making yourself out to be, and you're actually basking in it which makes it all the funnier. Do yourself a huge favor and go freaking educate yourself about the subject matter. You're an absolute laughing stock right now. -
Australia to Raise Bar for Citizenship

LOL... This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read, and for the record this is very honestly the first time I've read something posted here that was so ignorant that I actually burst out laughing. Seriously. Who said anything about deportations? You don't even know what a meritocracy is, do you? In the future I advise knowing at least the first thing about what you're trying to discuss before opining, especially if your first inclination is to flame. -

Please don't help him ruin this thread. -
This is an awesome story. Literally laughing out loud at my desk.

New 'Australian values' test planned for citizenship I think it's safe to say that most of you are aware of my belief that a form meritocracy is the best path for a country to award citizenship, including doing away with birthright citizenship completely. I think this will be an interesting experiment, and look forward to a western government moving in this direction.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
TakeYouToTasker replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think this fits in here rather nicely: -
Listen, I know this sucks to hear, but your expectations weren't realistic. I certainly have a preferred political outcome, we all do, but as a libertarian I go in knowing that my preferred outcomes aren't going to materialize. That's why I spend my energy advocating for my positions, rather than getting emotionally invested in the outcomes of the here and now. The position you took wasn't a reasonable one, and you shouldn't get upset or lash out when that's pointed out to you.

I told you that 9% was too large a margin of error for the sample size the polling data provided. And with that said, now that Karen Handel will be his Republican opponent, and the Republican Party will be in full unified force behind her, in a district which always swings very heavily Republican. It's reasonable to expect Handel to win somewhere in the neighborhood of 55% - 42%

The Mizzou/Yale/PC/Free Speech Topic
TakeYouToTasker replied to FireChan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The answer from the college should be: Feel free to disenroll if you don't like the values we represent. Further, know that any interruptions in the future will result in your arrest, our willingness to testify against you in your prosecution, and your immediate dismissal from our school. -

Bye, Mike. -
/sigh... Again, I'm not the one escalating this into a "fight". I've done nothing but try to engage you, and you've responded by being a complete piece of ****. I told you that Ossoff would lose in a runoff. You countered that you didn't necessarily think there would be a runoff. I then replied that position was unsupported by data. This indicates that you opposed my position, feeling that he could win today. I didn't misrepresent anything. Own your words. You also said that you though he'd win in June were he not able to obtain a majority vote today. I then countered that was also an unsupported position, which it is. Listen, you're entitled to whatever poor opinions you'd like to hold. This is still America, and as far as I know, that's still your right. But don't delude yourself into thinking that I'm the bad guy here. You've done nothing but escalate your rhetoric in ever post you've made. Stop being a dick head.
