  1. So, to reiterate: - obliterating the rule of law - weaponing the Justice Department, Intel agencies, and IRS against his political enemies - overseeing gun running scandals both into Mexico and the Middle East - creating a geo-political power vacuum which was filled by bad actors - initiating a foreign policy and military strategy which led to the rise of ISIS - allowing Hezbollah to run an unfettered criminal enterprise in the United States - overseeing the worst economic recovery out of a recession the country has ever seen These things are only markers of a terrible Presidency because I'm white, and are only problematic because I live in a "rich country" and should be more tolerant of... what exactly? Further, if I'm not supposed to use the standards of a "rich country" to judge his Administration, how is it even possible to compare President Obama to past presidents? They were also Presidents of a "rich country", much richer by comparison, than Obama's America. Again, by what standard was Barack Obama a good president? What were his achievements? Do they mitigate his failures? Can you defend his failures? I'm not interested in your fiat declarations, and I'm less interested in the judgments of court historians. Outline the reasons he was a good President or shut the !@#$ up.
  2. I didn't ask you for another of your empty headed, terrible opinions, administered by fiat. I asked you by what objective standard was he a good/decent President. I've listed (uncomprehensively) his major failings which I believe would preclude any person from being considered a good President. What, in your mind, qualifies him as "good".
  3. By any objective standard his Presidency has been a resounding success mitigated only by failure in an early attempt to repeal the ACA; which, to his credit, he moved on from quickly rather than wasting further political capital.
  4. By what standard was President Obama a decent President? He obliterated the rule of law, weaponized the Justice Department, Intel agencies, and IRS against his political enemies, oversaw gun running scandals both into Mexico and the Middle East, created a geo-political power vacuum which was filled by bad actors, initiated a foreign policy and military strategy which led to the rise of ISIS, allowed Hezbollah to run an unfettered criminal enterprise in the United States, and oversaw the worst economic recovery out of a recession the country has ever seen. By what standard is that good?
  5. The current Defensive PI thread got me thinking about a change to Offensive PI I'd like to see, which would be to see it result in a loss of down in addition to a 10 yard walk off. Thoughts?
  6. I can imagine. Glad everyone is safe and sound.
  7. In my mind, the most ridiculous thing about the outrage over the Haiti thing is where it's being directed. Think about this for a moment: You're in a closed door meeting at work, working with a project team you do this all the time with the same group of people. While you're working, you don't act like corporate robots. You're a person. You carry a tone of familiarity with the people in the room. People are blunt and direct in their language. It's a familiar environment. (This is commonplace. The world is not highly sanitized.) Donald Trump did not call a press conference for the purpose of calling Haiti a shithole. He did not tweet it out. He said it in a closed door meeting, the attendees of which immediately ran out and tried to use politically in order to sabotage him. That act is infuriating, but more infuriating are the !@#$s who think calling Haiti a shithole, which it unmistakably is, in a closed door meeting is the thing here to be upset about.
  8. I had no idea running into the kicker penalties were reviewable plays.
  9. So Chelsea Clinton then? That makes it easy: they are part of the Navy.
  10. In this scenario does Brees agree to play with a contact well below market value in order that his team be able to be stocked with additional talent, or does he have the same contracts he's played under in New Orleans which forced the Saints to make very tough personnel decisions?
  11. Hitler advocated for universal healthcare.
  12. It's racist to want Westernized, educated, self-sufficient individuals to immigrate here as opposed to uneducated, often uninoculated, individuals from the third world? Also, those places are **** holes, and they are **** holes because of their governments.
  13. Narcissists are always funniest when they're wrong. About just about everything. I hope this guy sticks around. It's going to be even more hilarious after he realizes he's wrong, and shamelessly adopts the point of view he's been arguing against, claiming credit for it's original thought.
  14. Did you just allude to a theory that the DPRK is actually a CIA front for hideout for Moloch worshiping Illuminati?
  15. This is exactly why you shouldn't undertake arguments when your only evidence to bolster your position is hearsay. Empassioned argument about about how government works... without being able to source, or even articulate, the process. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
  16. No, evidence as in evidence. There are differences between ethnicities/races in disease susceptibility and drug reaction.
  17. Is there any evidence that racial/ethnic disparities exist in regards towards a disposition for more adverse impacts for marijuana use as exists with alchohol and other racial backgrounds?
  18. Not if you're arguing the merits of a benevolent fascist dictatorship, as Paulus is.
  19. Once all of this is said and done, the leaks themselves need to be prosecuted.
  20. You're thinking of Federal Express. The Federal Reserve is more like NASA.
  21. I've just been sitting here laughing to myself about a couple of self described "libertarians" advocating for a facist approach to governing because apparently coherent philosophies go right out the window when you really wanna get high, like, now man...
  22. Prayers for Tyrod.
  23. Huge job by the defense to give us one final bite at the apple.
