I understand your take here, but yes, I think it's apt as a metaphor when what happens here is a "war of words". I think, when we engage each other in this medium, that intellectual honesty is of paramount importance. All discussion is pointless without that as a baseline. To those ends I think that those who behave in intellectually dishonest ways should be shamed. You. Me. Anyone.
