  1. Seriously. Mueller has already stated that Trump isn't going to be indicted. Perhaps @THEHARDTRUTH plans on kidnapping him and locking him in a kennel? Further, what would he be impeached for? Being a Republican? Are Republicans not going to be allowed to be part of the political process anymore? Or is it only a certain type of Republican that can participate in government, to be decided by Democrats? Will of the people be damned?
  2. So, @Bob in Mich... Are you advocating that the law be changed in order to allow for the beginning of a rigorous, years long course of clinical studies, testing the effects of cannaboids on various conditions and symptoms, ultimately culminating in real research with will either prove or disprove pot's effectiveness in treating various ailments... Or are you a !@#$ing moron for telling a medical doctor that he should get out of the industry for not telling his patients to ingest illicit drugs?
  3. The best amount of guns to have is zero. But we can't have that because the gun has been invented already. The second best number of guns is infinity.
  4. What is it that you take a larger issue with, the prosperity or the peace?
  5. What, exactly, were you trying to achieve/elicit with your thread?
  6. Actually, we overthrew the British Crown two and a half centuries ago just so we didn't have to use that stupid expression.
  7. Something tells me that this isn't going to fly.
  8. They were "caught". Or rather they were found dead. To use an analogy: Professional car thieves do not target their final prize as their primary theft. They steal other cars, usually from economically depressed areas, and will have a chain of thefts leading towards their final prize to make more difficult to catch them. Disposable hit men were used (MS-13 gang members), and then were killed nearly immediately afterwards.
  9. It's not the brimstone. The sulfuric smell is generated by Boyst's cows... err... "dates".
  10. I'm not sure what anyone found so objectionable about Gugny's position. There is room for debate and disagreement over the death penalty, and there is certainly room for compassion in the application of all law, especially law that deals with minors.
  11. Dial it back by a factor of maybe 10? I pose the questions because this is how it's going to be spun, which is why it's important to discuss. Now, do you want to continue to participate in good faith, or am I "wasting your time"?
  12. As relates to election fraud?
  13. Did they follow proper policy and procedure? Does it fall into their jurisdiction?
  14. Assuming an alternative universe in which the FBI acquired, through legally prescribed means, evidence that foreign agents had infiltrated the Presidential campaign of Democratic candidate Tonald Drump, in what way should their investigation/actions have proceeded differently than what happened in our reality?
  15. As I said, I don't know enough about him to have an opinion about his veracity. Your objection is noted, however.
  16. I go back and forth on landowners, as that reeks of a hereditary aristocracy, and if the franchise is truly to be merit based, it should be merit based along individual lines, not dynastically through inheritance.
  17. A valid opinion, though I disagree. I'll explain: The main reason I disagree with this stance is because it is harder to become a member of the service than it is to get into college (ADD, flat feet, asthma, or poor vision among dozens of other medical reasons can prevent you from being accepted); and the inability to serve, which is necessarily determine by the military itself, should not, in itself, preclude the franchise. As such there needs to be an equitable merit based alternative, and becoming a productive net-contributing member of society seems reasonable.
  18. I don't have an opinion about Shurter. I mention it because it involved prominent names and created a big stir during the time frame TPS was asking about.
  19. In that instance, what is the proper approach by the FBI?
  20. I offer this thread, as it's sure to come up: What is the proper role of the FBI, if it encounters actual solid intelligence of a foreign entity infiltrating a Presidential campaign? Bear in mind that this isn't what happened here. In our case the FBI conspired with other intelligence agencies and various parties in order to create false and sensationalized "intelligence" in order to rig a federal election and cover up their own bad behavior and that of their superiors at the head of government. I'm speaking about a fictional accounting of a situation in which the FBI acquires real, verifiable intel. I look forward to your thoughts and legal opinions, amateur or otherwise.
  21. The one I'm referencing did loop in DC, by way of Antonin Scalia, who ritual satanic abuse survivor David Schurter said was one of his most vicious abusers. He's mentioned other prominent beltway figures as well.
  22. Are you referencing Franklin, Nebraska; which was brushed aside as a "satanic panic" in the media?
  23. I don't think arguing that transients aren't transient is going to be a big winner.
  24. Well, now that what he designed to be his legacy has been all but completely undone, he may as well try to establish a new one as a modern day William Ellison.
