According to some complete muppet on this board, I can’t remember who so maybe you can remind me, minority populations within a given culture can’t be racist against majority culturalists. IE. By that exact logic, Carlson *cannot* be racist here. Same guy also seems to think *having a good job* is grift. The big brain on that guy, eh?

If Trump loses and refuses to leave

I’ll ask you again: do you believe in the right to self-determination; and the idea that just government derives from the consent of the governed? -
State run facilities will always be absolute nightmares.

No, see, here is the issue. You keep asking, with increasing levels of incredulity, why the air is made of chicken soup, insisting that your evidence of your presumption is that 2+2= purple baby duck Martha Washington. And you’re being told that the air isn’t made of chicken soup, and your supposition is completely ***** insane. -

Non-answer to what? Your dopey insistence that people hide their financial crimes in documents filed with a government agency partially tasked with identifying financial crimes, especially in times when that agency has been weaponized to attack political enemies of the President, of which the individual in question was one? An answer to that absurdity? -

Can you even imagine what it must look like inside the mind of someone who believes that the best place to hide evidence of financial crimes would be documents filed with the IRS at a time in which that agency had been politically weaponized by the sitting administration of whom you had been vocally critical. -
Just a quick reminder, as you celebrate freedom and independence today, that if your government can and, or has restricted any part of your 4th of July festivities today, then you are neither free nor independent.

4th of July Protest/Anti-Protest Thread

They certainly do. But even if I were to concede your points, (which I won’t), we aren’t talking about confederate statues anymore. It’s amazing to me that someone could say that the history of half the country has nothing to do with American history. -

It’s truly mind blowing to me. People refuse to understand that in the 250,000 year history of human beings, freedom as conceptualized by Enlightenment philosophers is a tiny blip on a the radar, against a brutal backdrop of human history. An even smaller blip is the modern leftist moral lens of 2020. Where we are now is an infinitesimally small and abnormal occurrence. But yeah, let’s unwind and cancel human history because it doesn’t meet with our iPhone instant social media/dopamine hit culture.- 91 replies

4th of July Protest/Anti-Protest Thread
TakeYouToTasker replied to Cinga's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So, the problem with “it had better be for a damn good reason” is that “damn good reason“ is wholly subjective. I think it could be effectively argued, quite easily, that from the viewpoint of the United States government in the mid-late 1800’s, the expansion of the United States was a damn good reason. -

As I’m sure you’re aware, a left leaning Supreme Court ruled that eminent domain, a Constitutional provision, can be used by the the state for reasons as misguided and backwards as transferring property ownership in order to increase tax revenue on a particular property. -

What are your thoughts on eminent domain? -
So, remember that guy who was blindly firing into the crowd at a protest? The one that @Penfield45 “knowingly” asserted was a white supremacist, because what else could he be?

We’ve already witnessed the prior Administration forego the peaceful transition of power, upending roughly 250 years of law and tradition, creating an incredibly dangerous precedent. The peaceful transition of power had been, until that point, the bedrock on which our republican democracy was built. One of the reasons our experiment had worked, relatively speaking, was because the peaceful transition was considered sacrosanct, and the tradition was so strong that doing otherwise was unthinkable. It was a thing that Simply Was Not Done. The thing about Things That Simply Are Not Done, is the fact that they are not done is self-protecting and self-perpetuating. Things Which Are Not Done, are not done, because they are not done. But what happens once they *are* done, as happened prior to, and then in the wake of the 2016 election? Now, there is nothing which is not done, because it has. Once a thing is done, it becomes much easier to do again. -

Republicans Are All As Corrupt As Trump
TakeYouToTasker replied to Kemp's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The Bill was an attempt to prevent the President from exercising his unilateral Constitutional authority to conduct foreign policy, and to turn every policy decision into a circus and investigation. It was authored as a political hit job, not as serious policy.- 40 replies

@Penfield45 Imagine believing that an international organization with a documented history dating back to 1930, who media and pundits claimed not even two years ago not only existed, but were virtuous and beneficial, were like the Tooth Fairy. Of course no one honestly thinks you believe that. We all know that you know Antifa not only exists, but overlaps with fellow Communist agitator group Black Lives Matter, and receive their funding from the same place. The thing is, we’re capable of honesty. The Klu Klux Klan, while reduced to diminishingly insignificant numbers and powerlessness, does still exist; and is a vile organization formed from people who carry hate in their hearts. You won’t do the same because you believe your support of similarly vile groups harboring similarly hateful Individuals is virtuous. It isn’t, and you aren’t fooling anyone.

Looks like we have an early fan favorite for our number one pick in the 2021 draft. Gotta love the upside on this one.

This is by design. The Communist agitators (they aren’t anarchists: they acknowledge the existing power structure, and are violating the law in an effort to impose a new power structure) opportunistically used traumatized black communities as a human shield for their agenda.
