Howe do you think it plays with non-costal Democrats, in the bible belt, and rust belt? In the swing states that Trump carried? States considered Purple, or that Democrats carry by narrow margins? Roughly 50% of the US electorate are men, and 25% are women who are the mothers of sons. Do you think this bodes well for Democrats there? I don't. President Trump, and Republicans, don't need to win anything they haven't already won in order to keep a tight grip on Federal, State, and local policy, though they will. All this is doing is turning 2016's narrow victories into landslides.

So, CBS News media commentary now in the aftermath of Judge Kavanaugh's opening statement: "Kavanaugh was convincing, and emotional, but given what Democrats have now put him though, how can he be impartial on the bench, and not hold a grudge? I don't believe he can be impartial after being put through this, and that calls into question his qualifications." Unreal.

It's the only "group" in the country that is not simply been allowed, but encouraged, and sometimes legislatively required, to be discriminated against across a wide swath of law.

Because of your ignorant characterizations about those you know nothing about, demeaning them in the process for the legacies their families have built, and entrusted them with; taking intergenerational success stories, and casting them as some sort of criminal malfeasance. That you would ask that sort of question after reading about the incredible positives I've found in the relationship I have with my wife make me feel badly for you, that you don't know what it feels like to have what I have.

We may differ politically, but we have the same core underlying beliefs about merit an impartiality. Its why, as much as we may disagree, you and I (the larger you and I) can engage in a (largely) civil discourse, and share a common political system constructed under the philosophy of representative democracy, and live peaceably. This also speaks to the place the political left is headed in this country, however, where the foundational beliefs that have bound us together for so long are no longer shared, and will rip us apart if they are not rapidly addressed.

If the therapist's notes are inaccurate then they have no place in this hearing as evidence. Full stop. You can't have it both ways. Either they represent a reliable accounting, or they do not. Which is it?
