There is no inequity. There is a balance in compromise. You're acting as though Democrats have never held a majority in any portion of government, and are forgetting that just a few scant years ago Democrats held the House, Senate, and the Presidency. There is no reason, none, that California should dictate policy to the rest of the 49 states making up the Country; and that's really what you're asking for when you make the case for the popular vote being the will of the people. Republicans hold 2/3 of governorships, state senates, and state representatives. They hold the overwhelming majority of local governments; and if you remove Californina from the map, they also have a sizable lead in the popular vote. The solution for Californians, if they find the inabity to dictate policy to the overwhelming majority of citizens who don't share their culture or beliefs unpalatable, is to secede. The solution for those who live outside of California who feel this way is to move to California and push for secession. I'll gladly support you.

What you're lamenting is that the Federal government does not exclusively represent the will of Californians. The only portion of our government intended to represent the people, at all is the House of Representatives. It's why they are literally called Representatives, and why all law is supposed to originate there. The Senate wasn't intended to represent the interests of the people at all. It wasn't until the 17th Amendment was passed that they were even directly elected. The Senate is designed to represent the interests of the State governments in an equal capacity. The President also isn't a representative of the people. He is a figure head, only vested with the power to carry out the laws passed by Congress. Laws the people found beneficial to them, which were then signed off on by the States. This system of government is the only reason we even have a country. Without this system there is literally no reason for the overwhelming majority of the country to remain part of the Union. The argument you're really making is that you want to do away with a democratic republican form of government, and to replace it with a tyrannical form over government which forces the Bible Belt, the south west, and the bread basket of the country to bend perpetual knee to the State of California.

You fundamentally misunderstand how our system of government works. The President doesn't represent the people. He is the figure head of the executive branch. He is not democratically elected for exactly that reason. As an aside, you're letting your inner authoritarian show by asserting that people not living in costal urban centers should have no say in how they are governed, and instead those people living in "****ty states" should be dictated to by their betters. Why would those people ever agree to be party to a nation that is so hostile to them, their values, and their culture? That open hostility you're putting on display now is exactly why you have President Trump; and exactly why President Trump is installing anOriginalist Court which will do away with the poisonous "living document" philosophy, and undo decades of judicial activism.

@KRC One of my personal favorites was a few weeks back he made the claim that Marxism had never resulted in the deaths of millions. Then attempted to redefine Marxism as neo-liberalism. Then made the claim that Stalin's policies in pursuit of dekulakization and bringing the bread basket of Europe into collectivization under Soviet control weren't economic decisions. It was a staggering display of stupidity. I suggest following his posts. He's always good for a laugh.

Black favorables for President Trump are currently at 35%, up from 27% at this time last year, I don't have the data break down by gender. -
He's well beyond standard dumbassery. He's the !@#$ing gold standard. It's hard to imagine someone who understand less about compensation packages; a modern day Jack Spriggins, and yet somehow he desires to be extraordinarily vocal in his devout ignorance. I'd honestly be embarrassed for him if I didn't think he completely deserved to look every inch of the fool he is.

... ALOL That's not how any of this works. Nevermind that your math doesn't include differences in strategic taxation, but you've also included a ton of poor assumptions. $13/hour is an average. Warehouse workers start at $11/hour, but a large percentage earn $15 or more per hour already because they've been with the company for years. For them, losing the stock options plan, along with the behavior incentive bonus (which pays for attendance, and productivity benchmarks IE: the good employees) which paid them out 8% of their salary monthly, and 16% of salary during the months of November and December, does a tremendous amount of harm to their personal bottom lines. Again, like I said, this decision caters to the lowest common denominator: the pay day rich, and those who demand immediate gratification; along with entry level employees. This is a political decision made for optics, not one that benefits the employees. Anyone working at Amazon who was already compensated near or above $15/hour was hurt by this decision to the tune of roughly $3k-$6k annually. So, again, kindly shut the !@#$ up you ignorant muppet. You don't understand the subject matter.

I hope you're still enjoying this when the bullets start flying, liberals. There is no putting this genie back in the bottle.

You are so far beyond dopey that it's hilarious. You are, once again, lauding the decision to compensate to the lowest common denominator (poor decision makers who are pay day rich, and demand instant gratification); and championing the decision to remove equity compensation for low level workers whom are responsible and frugal. Those people do exist, en mass, and you're literally advocating for their livelihoods to be worse. Stop talking about things you don't understand.

You are an unmitigated moron. No, this is not a win for Amazon employees. Anyone who thinks it is doesn't understand how compensation plans work. While not all employees took advantage of the long and medium range benefits of equity compensation, many did, and they've now lost this advantage because their pay structure has been reduced to the lowest common denominator. The young and the frugal who valued savings and investment have been forced to sacrifice to the morons valuing immediate gratification who act rich on pay day; and general laborer compensation has been uncoupled from executive pay which hurts everyone. Stop talking about things you don't understand. It only serves to reinforce what a dope you are. It's OK not to understand something. It's !@#$ing retarded to loudly vocalize it. Shut the !@#$ up and learn something.
