  1. Good grief! Did you lose a fight with a trash compactor?
  2. Human freedom has a blood cost, but that cost is much lower than the true price of relinquishing those freedoms. Feel free to continue with your stupid emotional argument though.
  3. It's a long standing tradition of the Court not to rise from their seats. Full stop.
  4. SCOTUS always remains seated.
  5. Agreed. You never like to see this begin to happen to seniors. Terrible thing to watch them suffer, and to see what their families go through. It's unfortunate that this has to have political undertones to it (overtones in this environment if we're honest), but she really should have retired years ago.
  6. Smuggling dildos into New Era.
  7. Well, yeah. It's perfectly consistent with their deeply held beliefs: "One et of rules for you, and another set of rules for us."
  8. Because they would rather have questioned her, but they couldn't because of Flake's requirements. Why shouldn't they have used their prerogative to pursue as much of the confirmation hearings on normal grounds as possible? Also, the confirmation hearings are not criminal proceedings. Kavanaugh certainly has the right not to have his confirmation hearings treated as such, rather than to be questioned by a freaking prosecutor, right?
  9. *****. These are Noble goals:
  10. Of course the accuser has the right to be heard, specifically by the person they are accusing, in order that they are able to meet the accusations and defend themselves if they choose to. This is the basic principle that our entire system of jurisprudence is built upon. It is also, I believe, a hallmark of general decency, to import those standards into our individual basic morality. Individuals should not be condemned purely on the uncorroborated say-so of another individual, especially in situations where the accuser has something they deeply value to gain from doing nothing more than making the accusation.
  11. If people don't begin to get indicted, that's exactly the case.
  12. I'm not concerned with your worthiness, I'm concerned with your level of stupidity. Are you another one of these morons who insists that "the accuser has the right to be believed"?
  13. I hope it happens for his own elucidation. He needs a severe lesson in the importance of the presumption of innocence, the right to confront your accuser, and the essential importance of corroboration. Further, I hope this sort of thing happens to everyone who supports what was done to Justice Kavanaugh, Title IX in general, and preponderance of evidence standards. It's the only way they'll learn. Not hate. Disgust. Are you another moron in need of a lesson?
  14. In addition to all of your other flaws, you apparently don't speak the English language very well. What did I "project"? Edit: because I am helpful: A sincerely professed hope is not a prediction, nor is it an image cast on a surface, nor is it a promotion of someone to be viewed in a narrowly defined way, nor is it a protrusion.
  15. I sincerely hope that you, or even better, one of your children, is falsely accused of sexual assault some day; and that your lives are destroyed as a result. That your reputation is left in tatters, that people question whether you should be allowed to coach your kids sports teams, that you endure death threats, that you lose your job. And you shouldn't be outraged at any of these accusations. You should smilingly accept them, and thank those who are destroying you. Because "the accuser should be believed". You are an absolutely vile individual, un-American in every way.

  17. Unfortunately that's probably not the dumbest thing she'll say today, though it is pretty meta as far as dumb is concerned.
  18. This is one of the most absurd things I've ever heard of. If you are the victim of a crime, you become a criminal.
  19. Representative democracy is best executed when groups which are as politically homogenous as possible are able to elect a Representative to serve for them in the House. This gives these individuals the best chance to have a voice which actually represents their view points and beliefs in Congress. Districts which are designed to be politically diverse or competitive disenfranchise more voters, because roughly half of them have no voice to represent them in our legislative body.
