  1. How long can Revis play at an elite level?
  2. You're of the opinion that JF wouldn't have been drafted?
  3. A Marrone reference in the Super Bowl thread. Wow.
  4. He should've went with S. CJ Spiller: Side-arm sashaying sycophant..
  5. Rex loved Sancho. You can't praise him as a coach when he was content with a horrendous QB. Also, he took over a 9-7 team with the 16th best offense. And he had a HoF running back, the best CB in the game etc. And "assembling quality staffs?" Quality is exactly what I would use when describing the Sparano hire.
  6. How do you define good? And what does he do to fulfill that?
  7. Yeah, that he's a good HC. That's an interesting take. Haven't really seen that.
  8. Again, if I thought that attracting Revis was a good thing, I'd care. I don't. Signing him to a big time contract is a huge mistake. What I quoted.
  9. Forgive me, but I heard that Rex would benefit this defense and get them over the top by virtue of just being the coach. Now that Revis is being talked about, suddenly Rex + one of the best CB's in the game will get us over the top. So, is the first sentence no longer true? Does Jim Schwartz + Revis get us over the top as well?
  10. Great. As the season ended this year, I wondered what could have been if we had Revis.
  11. Right, but if we need to sign Revis to a $50 mill deal, what is Rex bringing to the table defensively?
  12. We have a top 4 D without Revis. Suddenly, we need him to get us over the top? What is Rex gonna be doing? "Sign Richard Sherman, he'll get us over the top." I thought the point of Rex was that we didn't need to funnel resources into our D in order to be great.
  13. You're right, he had a 3 TD 1 INT game before that. His deep ball is fantastic. His YPA is off the charts. The games you cite where EJ showed his potential were 2 years ago.
  14. He had a 4 TD 4 INT game I think.
  15. What was Glenn's YPC? Or Wood's?
  16. Study shows that if you draft All-Pro gems in the late rounds, first rounders don't matter? Woah.
  17. I can understand that. I think the real problem is caused by the advertisers. Anheuser-Busch (and all of the other big names) thinks that the players get in trouble will hurt their brand because they are such prominent sponsors. Thus, to keep their advertising revenue flowing, the NFL cracks down hard, and arguably too hard on just about any high-profile story. Because the sponsors are worried. It's a fallacy though. The sponsors are worried someone's not going to buy a Bud Light or a pair of UnderArmor shorts because a guy who is very loosely affiliated with their company (arguably to the 4th degree if you think sponsor-NFL-individual team-player) did something bad and it's all over the media? No chance. Then you have the, "We're pulling out because of our morals," baloney that massive companies like Nike spew as thousands of Thai toddlers are working 12 hour days making their shoes. I won't even dignify that with a response. The sponsors are stupid and hypocritical, which forces the NFL to agree with and support the sponsors stupidity. As such, I can't really rail against the NFL because what are they gonna do?
  18. Because they've already gotten in trouble for those activities, and they want to deter the same mistake happening again.
  19. It's bad for the league if they get DUI's. It's bad for the league if they get caught doing something illegal. It's bad for the league if their players are perpetuating the stereotype that football players are millionaire criminals or addicts. It's their business because their players are famous because of their business.
  20. The league gives a **** because it's bad for business to have millionaires who represent their company driving around drunk and high.
  21. How did Dareus get caught again? According to him, that's what he thought, not necessarily what he was told. And yes, he should have. That's exactly what he should've done after, what is this the fourth or fifth time? What's that old saying? Fool me five times...
  22. Maybe after multiple offenses, he should've checked the rules. You know, tread lightly after getting in trouble multiple times. I doubt the NFL wouldn't have cleared up this misconception if he asked.
