  1. I deleted it, this was prior to the cap hit being released.
  2. It was actually 5 seasons with the Bills if you can believe it.
  3. None of what you said contradicts what I said, so I don't understand your point.
  4. Except Cutler's actually done something.
  5. Untrue. Cassel was the backup for Ponder while he got his "development" year. He was, without question, better than Ponder. Also, Cassel was the original starter for 2014. Cassel will start, we will run the ball 30+ times a game, and we'll get to the playoffs.
  6. Seeing as the general consensus is that Marrone was an incompetent buffoon, any example of standard competence becomes notable.
  7. Let me ask you another: Who was the coach that let Nigel Bradham know that if he didn't step up, he was on his way out?
  8. As a pure WR, he is definitely better than all those guys, except, like you said, Hopkins. Could go either way there. I could've sworn that I read that there were some personality concerns with Woods. Like you said, he was a scrappy, fiery guy and I wasn't really surprised by his clash with Marrone. And c'mon, he played him with the two's in a preseason game. Talk about a non-factor on the season for a punishment.
  9. Fool me three times....
  10. Tough or the mental issues that saw him fall to round 2? This is the guy who lead the mutiny on the field against EJ. I love Woods, but he ain't no Boy Scout. This is all besides the point that it's a good quote. No need for a "Marrone was the worst O-line coach in history," discussion.
  11. I think he would totally agree. His efforts as well as the entire offense's was not enough. I'm sure they all tried very hard.
  12. I stand by my declaration that CJ Spiller will be one of the worst NFL RB's once he loses a step due to age.
  13. Agree to disagree. I thought Marrone, for all his faults, made this team tougher than ever and I think that quote sorta encapsulated that.
  14. Why should they get credit for trying hard? I could give 100% to try to make an NFL team, and never make it. Do I still get praise and a paycheck because I tried my bestest?
  15. That's doesn't mean it's good enough. Too long have we had a team that was content with 6-10 as long as we tried. They need to not be okay with 6-10.
  16. Disagree. One of the most important quotes the Bills needed to hear and ascribe to. It wasn't just about trying your best, it's about delivering. Just trying your best isn't good enough.
  17. The Who overrated? Nahhh. Beatles over Stones any day. Beatles could and did tons of different sounds successfully. Stones, not so much.
  18. You don't have to wonder. I remember an UDFA rookie starting his first game because of 3 injuries to the QB's ahead of him, who then played poorly, and got crucified.
  19. EJ will never have a negative TD:INT ratio. That's a fact.
  20. I'm sure all the TD's came in garbage time and none of those interceptions did. Who would you rather have? A great leader with horrific talent, or a horrific leader with great talent? Let me know. Actually, it's the opposite. Cutler was refusing to check out of runs. He wanted to run the ball more and pass less. He knew that he shouldn't throw 50 times a game like Trestman wanted. Trestman was Chan Gailey with better offensive weapons. He's loony.
  21. Wrong. Cutler had a great year when he made the Pro-Bowl. Also, you claimed that Rex wouldn't put up with Cutler, then claimed that he never dealt with a player like Cutler. So you had no basis for your original claim. So you made it up.
  22. Doesn't it also not make monetary sense to cut him? Or maybe they'll cut him after getting another QB or two? Who knows?
