  1. We've seen that.
  2. Does he mean Deshone Kizer or Deshaun Watson?
  3. Yep. Stick to the damn board and good things happen.
  4. Fair enough. We obviously have different opinions on Shaq. Still, the Ragland trade can be agreed upon as a potential disaster.
  5. Oh I don't blame Thurman for losing. I'm just saying even Thurman playing great wasn't enough to overcome JK playing like crap.
  6. Why not? If a guy starts or contributes, the pick was good, was your entire argument. By that criteria, EJ started some and contributed. What more could you ask for? Issues aside, Jack was BPA in talent and it wasn't even close. They took an inferior prospect who may have been a better short term player. The reason why it's so maddening is that going BPA with Jack means we don't have to need to take Ragland, then guess who has an extra 4th before a certain QB was taken. Not going BPA at #19 literally cost us Dak. What a shame.
  7. EJ was both a starter and solid contributor at one point. Gold star for Whaley for him too?
  8. Everyone is lying. The GM who was retiring got to pick the new GM's players without any of his input.
  9. Dude. "I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access" on Thursday. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board."
  10. How could a high 2nd rounder be a backup for 3 years and still have the "jury still out?"
  11. I disagree. Jack was the pick.
  12. You mean the guy who couldn't win a Super Bowl when his QB was playing like crap?
  13. Ohhh just for the Bills? Where to start
  14. None played well enough to warrant a second contract by the team that drafted them. I find that's the best way to evaluate the highest use of your draft picks. It's why Kyle Williams was such a great pick compared to, say Jairus Byrd. We got a 12 year career, most of them at a high level, out of a drafted player. That's the ROI you want on a draft pick. Getting a cheap 4 years then booting them out the door is not the best use of your resources. McCoy was not drafted. Had we drafted an actual good player in 2013, he would not have been traded for McCoy who was being offered for peanuts. Whaley is fine at FA, with a few hiccups but nothing egregious. His drafting is horrid. Whaley in fact was GM in everything but name for 2013. Just because he hadn't overhauled the department doesn't mean he wasn't picking the players.
  15. Shaq Lawson was considered a "Day One starter" by our GM. Only when he re-injured his shoulder did he become a long-term potential pick. Because he physically could not contribute in the short term. Kinda like how Kujo was expected to contribute year 1 until he was horrific, then we needed to "develop" him.
  16. Exactly 1/2 of Whaley's pick have been within the last two years. Sammy, Darby, Miller over 4 years. McCoy was not drafted.
