  1. If we had followed our board, probably.
  2. He's the one who wants to play for nothing. He gets paid either way. Otherwise I'd 100% agree.
  3. Which is most drafts. And which does not mean that no QBs from this one will end up good. The EJ pick had such a low opportunity cost from 2013. It may have been the best draft to flush a first rounder down the toilet in 6 years. Scary how bad it ended up.
  4. Yes he did. Personally, I'd take the more points, less turnovers, better throws, less sacks and 4 more GWD's over rushing yards.
  5. The Dallas defense was 14th in yards, 23rd in drive time, 29th in plays per drive, 25th in yards per drive, and 17th in points per drive and 20th in TO percentage. They put up decent totals because Dak and Zeke kept them off the field but they were not a good defense. More importantly, Dak played one more game than TT and beat him in both totals, % stats, GWD, 4Q comebacks, everything. I don't think TT had a single stat better than Dak in 2016. When a QB scores 2 more TD's, throws 2 less picks, throws for 600 more yards, has a NY/A of 7.28 compared to 6.79, and takes 11 less sacks at half the sack percentage, all while putting up 4 more GWD's, that makes the difference between good and great.
  6. Again, I'd take a QB who had a great year, than one who had a good year and then a mediocre one. And Dak was still better in 2016 as a rookie than TT as a 5 year vet in 2015.
  7. I'd take my chances with Dak going forward over TT still. A QB who has one great year is worth way more than a QB who had a good year and then a mediocre year.
  8. Dak is SOOOOOOOO much better than Taylor. I cannot overstate this. I would trade TT and 4 1sts for Dak.
  9. Why is your opinion worth its own topic?
  10. All the talent evaluators in the world can't make a bad player good. It was just a bad class.
  11. The Daktatorship > T-Mobile
  12. I guess what I'm trying to say is rank the last 5 classes in terms of "strength." I'd probably go 2015 > 2016 > 2014=2017 > 2013. If we had drafted Carr top 10 in 2014, would it have been so bad? Do you think every QB in this class will suck, like 2013?
  13. I ask you Promo, what years were "bad classes" and what ones were "good" in the last 5? Carr was the truth by his second year, BTW. He was MVP status in 3 years, but he was a good QB year two. 4000 yards and 32 TD's and 13 picks with a 91.1 passer rating. And he had a pretty good rookie year, unlike some of our unmentionables.
  14. Again, what is the alternative? There are not GMs in waiting with their own developed draft board and scouting team who can come in and take the reins from Whaley before the draft. Unless you want to hire Todd McShay or Mel Kiper to make the picks, you have to stick with Whaley until the draft is over.
  15. Because he's done the scouting all year.
  16. Would you say he has more or less potential than Marcus Easley?
  17. Then who picks the players and runs the final stages of college scouting?
  18. And Rex. What happened to him again?
  19. That post was half tongue in cheek. I've had a bad feeling about Pegs since the Freddy cutting. I thought there was more going on behind the scenes.
  20. May I direct you to #4 on this list. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191059-i-was-right-or-fc-for-czar-the-topic/
  21. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191557-the-new-jw-tweets-111-questions-on-whaley-tt/?p=4213302 http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191557-the-new-jw-tweets-111-questions-on-whaley-tt/?p=4213345 Keep in mind these posts jive with the OP by JW: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191557-the-new-jw-tweets-111-questions-on-whaley-tt/?p=4213247 I think we're seeing it play out exactly like Wawrow insinuated. Monos and Pegula wanted McD. Whaley was finishing up the scouting year and is gone.
