  1. 73-80, what is the difference (I know-7 years). A bigger question is, why would he get his first big break at the age of 70? Gotta be a reason, and I think Bills fans are now seeing that reason.
  2. That is the problem with this franchise, and I don't disagree with you, but they change coaches every 3 years, so each coach gets 3 years, as you say, and then gets fired, and it starts all over again. Like wheels spinning in mud.
  3. I totally agree. Him, Chan and Fitz should have been a package deal out of town. Why he is still here is evidence that this franchise lacks a real desire to compete.
  4. Seeing how it has been almost 15 years since he left the Bills GM position, I would think not too many, since not too many players even play that long? He might be the only one left, but Butler drafted Antoine Winfield. He was working under Polian for 4 or 5 years before he became the GM so who knows what input he had in drafting players during that period.
  5. Give him a break, how can you expect a 80+ year old man to actually think about signing anyone when he is scouting Pro Days? It is so the Buffalo Bills, do nothing, put crap on the field year after year.
  6. That fact isn't lost on all of us. There were a few good, affordable TE's available in FA but we never even contacted any of them as far as any published reports. The only reason I keep hearing is that Buddy Nix is scouting Pro Days and can't do both like every other teams do.
  7. I guess I would say I disagree with you only because this team is in worse shape and has more holes in it then when Nix took over with his 3/4 year plan? Since the season ended in December or January, all he has done is create more holes. Do I agree that Fitz had to go-yes, anyone with a brain would, but what are they going to do? One receiver on the roster that would have a chance to start on any other team in the NFL. A big hole at guard. I can go on and on, and even in a fantasy world if he hit big on all 6 draft picks (and with him, we will be lucky if he hits on one), there are twice that many holes on this team now-so the math doesn't add up.
  8. Didn't say he didn't stick to his word, but his word was based on his judgement, and his judgement has been so far off that this team and fanbase are going to continue to pay for his inabilities as a GM for years to come.
  9. I don't believe the Bills owe Fitz any money at all and didn't before he signed with the Titans. The money against the Cap won't change, but that isn't actually money owed to Fitz. They actually saved 10 million dollars of real money by letting him go, but still have to bite the bullet on the signing bonus that counts against the cap.
  10. Exactly correct. Nobody ever knows if a QB or any other player for that matter is going to be great, good, mediocre or even make a roster. The fact is though, Nix is at fault for not even attempting to find that quarterback. For that reason, he should no longer even be the GM, he is a disaster. Kinda like the lottery-you don't have a great chance to win to begin with, but if you don't buy a ticket you have NO CHANCE of winning.
  11. Welcome to Buddy Ball-sit back and do mostly nothing. Someone needs to tell him that the ticket takers, beer vendors, janitors at the Ralph and the coaching staff doesn't count against the salary cap.
  12. If you are referring to the QB position with your question, if you are a starting QB on a crappy team you are most often a big part of the crapiness.
  13. I apologize, I thought most would get my frustrated sarcasm. How about if I say, he knew a team needed a QB, just didn't think it was important enough to act on that idea-better? Oh wait, he did act, he drafted Levi Brown, brought in Vince Young, Tyler Thigpen, stole Brian Brohm from the Packers practice squad and gave a moronic contract to a guy who is a super nice guy, but barely has the physical tools for a backup QB, after a couple decent games.
  14. Not bad, took him 4 years to realize an NFL team needs a quarterback? Genius I tell you.
  15. Maybe at Trigonometry or Bio-Physics, but certainly nothing that as to do with the sport of football.
  16. He is employed by Chan Gailey, cutting his grass. And the administrators have banned links from Bleacher Report, yet allow inaccurate garbage like this to be linked?
  17. The fact that one of the leagues' worst GM's was catfished and heard by the entire nation that Fitz would have to compete just to be a backup here.
  18. ????? Are you thinking of European Football?
  19. What would it be 3 on 3?
  20. it's only fair. We took the Bengals castoff, so they might as well take ours. May lightning strike you for even suggesting that! (kidding)
  21. MIght just be my opinion, but I would rather make the playoffs, go to the Superbowl and lose (1993), over not having a QB, the longest non-playoff streak in the NFL, one NFL quality WR on the roster, more holes then Swiss Cheese, an a senile GM who gets catfished (2013). Every team in the NFL has holes, so Miami has two-how does that compare to the 10-14 holes the Bills have, of which they aren't working very hard to fill. In fact this off season they have filled one hole (with another team's backup) and created about a half dozen more.
  22. In 6 days of free agency, on a team so full of holes if it were a ship it would already be sunk, they called the Bengals backup linebacker? And that is urgency? Really? WOW?
  23. Should probably do your research before you slam someone. The fault lies with Dumervil's "former" agent, not Elway. Dumervil has already fired his agent and hired a new one. Who do you think Elway is? Buddy Nix?
  24. He might be mediocre on a team with Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline, but he would be as good as anything we have and miles better then anyone except Stevie on this team. I really don't believe this team is trying to win. One year of spending, and it is back to the cheap old ways of the Bills.
