  1. With the possible exception of the Colts and lately the 49ers, all those teams have been losers since they started testing. Not sure if that means anything?
  2. I truly understand the frustration, desire for the Bills to finally become a winner, the beating us Bills fans have went through, but this is quite a ridiculous reach. I hope he does great, but his only head coaching experience, was in a very weak college conference and he was about a .500 coach? Were you also the person who said "Ryan Fitzpatrick, the best QB hope since Jack Kemp?"
  3. If nothing happens what are they gonna talk about? Nix got dumped yesterday and they talked too long about the worthless GM that he was. This might be the slowest time in the NFL after the draft, Free Agency for the most part is done. What do you want them to talk about? The groundskeepers? I think you need to complain about something else that is justified?
  4. Probably no different than any other team, but this team has told lie after lie over the past 3 years. Just two weeks ago, Buddy was gonna be the GM for a long time. Remember, Marshawn Lynch isn't on the trade block? Lee Evans ins't on the trade block? Resign my butt, he was demoted, plain and simple. They just didn't want to fire him when they fired Gailey, even though he deserved to be. Brandon didn't want to make it look to the fans like all was lost by firing them both together, and then trying to sell season tickets.
  5. My guess is it was a nice way to demote him. He should have been fired when Gailey was fired and everyone with a brain knows that, they were 1A and 1B, joined at the hip. He has been terrible as a GM. It cracks me up when he talks about this roster, especially the defensive front like we have the Steel Curtain here or something, they freaking sucked last year. This team won quite a bit less then they did under the previous regime. He failed to find a QB, or for the most part even tried to find one until this year and it was a big reach. The Shawn Merriman project he insisted on was one of the worst in franchise history. Vince Young, Thigpen, on and on, nice guy, but good riddance as a GM. Not too sure putting Whaley in there is going to be much better, after all hasn't he been there for Nix's whole tenure and had input on what moves were made? My guess Brandon knew Nix needed to go, but didn't want to fire him when he fired Gailey, he didn't want it to appear as if the team is a total mess (which is probably is) for ticket sales purposes, yet try to give him a special day to send him off like he did a good job while he was here. Joke. Glass two thirds empty, this team lost 2 out of every 3 games under Nix regime. It really isn't much better then when he took over either, that is if Manuel turns out to be really good. If Manuel is a bust, Nix will turn out to be one of the worst GMs in franchise history.
  6. Or it could be the defensive line from the past few seasons, they really need to "Rush More!"
  7. The reason might be that most players if you make them play under the tag, they will never sign a deal with the current team. They might have to tag him next year and the second year in a row raises the amount quite a bit. Make him play unhappy about his contract, if he shows up for the first two thirds of the seasons, probably means less quality play and a strong desire to bolt away from the franchise at the soonest opportunity.
  8. Not even the same thing. Byrd is not under contract and has the right to ask for whatever he wants (whether he gets it or not may be another story). With Peters, he was under contract but asked for a new one every other year. Big, big difference.
  9. They seem to change something every year to get people to buy new jerseys. These Nike jerseys kinda suck. I bought one, they fit and feel terrible. You watch the games and all the player have a square patch of sweat on their stomachs? Not that they look that bad on TV, but terrible design.
  10. That kinda sucks. Was hoping he came back, but apparently he doesn't fit Marrone's offense. I loved watching his hits on special teams. With this arrest and the limited number of teams that use a true fullback, his career may be over.
  11. The Bills don't have an "additonal" 7th round pick. The Bills 7th round pick was wasted last year for Tarvaris Jackson, so the one they obtained last night is the only one in that round that they have. Kinda irritated me how every time Buddy Nix spoke he talked about how they were at such a disadvantage because they only had 6 picks-well look in a mirror-you are the one who gave the pick away.
  12. With this pick, and not Nassib or Smith, I think that is a telling sign that Kolb will start most of if not all year. Although he probably has more of an upside then any QB in the draft, is might be least ready to start right away in the NFL. Only time will tell folks.
  13. I don't blame him at all. Controversy? Get real. He had his whole family there, sat by himself in that room all night with camera's on him and got embarrassed. I mean the best QB in the class goes undrafted in the first round, doubt that has ever happened. There were plenty of players named who weren't there, were they handling adversity bad also? Some people and the media like to make a big deal out of nothing just to start controversy. Not sure where he will go if you believe the reports, the Jags like Nassib or Barkley, but then again that is what everyone thought about the Bills also. Aaron Rodgers still holds a grudge 8 years later and lets it be known, he has done alright for himself in my opinion.
  14. Pronounce it Kolb like corn on the "Cob".
  15. Not sure which is older, this article or Buddy Nix.
  16. I wore my Bills hat, jersey, jacket, jockstrap and other items to the game in Fedex a few years back against the Redskins when Joe Gibbs called back to back timeouts. But then again, there were more BIlls fans in the parking lot we were in then Skins fans. Worst football atmosphere out of the 4 or 5 Stadiums I have been to.
  17. Peters was a lazy player here who wanted a new contract every other season. With that said, as bad as the Eagles O-Line was last year they are probably thinking they are glad to have his overpaid, overrated big body back on the line, especially confident Michael Vick is thinking this.
  18. I am not in love with the move, and shooting party streamers in the air. It was however, considering what is available, not a bad move. Is he better then Fitz, probably, yea I would say so for sure. Is he better then Jax-does it get cold in Alaska? I thought Kolb looked pretty good against us until he got clocked and tore his chest apart. His numbers are at least as good as Fitz's were, and Fitz was one of the least sacked QBs, where the AZ QBs were the most sacked behind a grossly terrible O-Line. Is he the future, probably not, but not sure any rookies in this class are ready to start right away, but will take awhile to become a franchise QB. I would have rather had Flynn, but considering they didn't have to trade away any picks or players for Kolb, it is one of the few moves that Nix has made that even make a little bit of sense. This team still isn't real close to competing, even if we brought Tom Brady in, so it is an improvement no doubt, but still not making hotel reservations for the Playoffs anywhere.
  19. They don't let anyone know for good reason. The majority of the better free agents that would come here (see Fred Davis), use the Bills to up their value with not much intention, if any, of actually signing here. To avoid the fanbase going nuts over yet another failure, they just don't let word get out until it is near a done deal.
  20. I hear ya, been a fan of the Bills, Mets and Sabres for over 40 years. One Championship in over 120 years of fandum combined, the 1986 Mets. Doesn't it almost always seem like the Bills are taking positive steps though? Seriously. For over a decade, it has seemed that way but it never pans out.
  21. Gotta be the Bills. The Sabres have had quite a few winning records in the span of years that the Bills have had one season with a winning record and ZERO playoff appearances. The Sabres even had one season with the best record in the NHL. The Bills can't get out of their own way.
  22. With the new CBA the position really doesn't matter. The pay is pretty much slotted at the draft position and they know for the most part what they are going to pay the pick no matter who it is. The Bills spent the 2003 first round pick on Bledsoe and a first round pick in 2004 on Losman.
  23. I don't think it eliminates the Bills taking a QB in this years draft, and it shouldn't. I do get the feeling though that it means they will take a chance and not take one in the first round though.
  24. Why? Nix just keeps making moves that makes no sense and this one takes the cake. There has to be at least a dozen free agent RBs who are better and wouldn't cost a penny more to sign? Choice has been worthless since Gailey brought him here.
  25. Thanks, finally found something that Polian and Nix have in common. Polian has no earthly idea what Nix is doing and neither does Nix!
