Should we be concerned about Dareus?
BuffBill replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I am worried about anything with Dareus, it is the fact that he hasn't come close to living up to being the 3rd overall pick in the draft 3 years ago. He needs to show it soon, or he will be another "Not a good pick" in Bills history when it is all said and done. -
Mike and Mike "Two-a-days" July 29
BuffBill replied to Meatloaf Sandwich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually Golic predicted them to have one more win the Jets had and Greenie actually predicted even more (he wasn't there, Russo was on and predicted even more). I got no problem with their prediction, like Russo said, when you have been so bad for so long, you have to see it before you would want to predict it. -
Yea I read your post, but in the past, more recently before night practice they had the entire team along a fence behind their jersey number siging for 15 minutes, that was what I was asking about, the fenceline is always a crapshoot and 75% scrubs.
-
Does anyone know if they have any plans on doing the entire team autograph session before any of the night practices like they did in the past? That was always a great opportunity to get alot of signatures.

Might as well trade his rights and get something for him. Odds are he is gone after this year now, as are most players that have to play under the franchise tag-remember Nate Clements? -
Getting Sunday Ticket discounted or free
BuffBill replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had the Max one year and really only used it if I had to make an emergency trip to the restroom and used my phone. I only get the regular S/T and DVR every game, have for years. If you are in the Buffalo area and try to DVR it on the 700ish channel when it is on the local channel, it won't be on both. -

I just called DirecTV and spent about 20 minutes on the phone. Told them I wanted to get some info on cancelling my service next month when my obligation is over and to cancel Sunday TIcket now. He said he was going to make a note in my account in case a deal for ST comes up they could call me and said I had to call next month to cancel service. I very nicely said that I wanted to schedule cancelling my service now, and he said he "just found someone in retention" I could talk to. I talked to the nice lady and she offered me ST for free and $45 off my bill for a year. I kinda balked a little (a good act since she couldn't see me) and she offered me another $50 credit and every premium channel free for 2 months. Not bad work for about 20 minutes. Just under $950 saved/credit. -

I have had ST for about 10 years now. I don't think I have watched a complete game on the package besides the Bills. The Bills usually play at 1, and after they lose I have had enough football for the day. Or it seems the best 4 oclock game is on the regular local channel. -
How many wins will we have next year. (Poll)
BuffBill replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had to vote in the 4-6 range, probably closer to the 4. There might be a brighter future (might be) then there was 12 months ago, but there is without a doubt, less NFL ready, proven talent now then 12 months ago. There is a good chance this team could compete in 2 to 3 seasons if Manuel pans out, but there will be alot of bumps and growing pains along the way. No it isn't expected, it is less of a surprise then it used to be when a team turns it around in one season, but those examples are more surprises or the exceptions. To say it is expected, is like saying it is expected that E.J. Manuel plays in the Pro Bowl this year. -
I don't think the NFL gives a crap if a team that nobody outside of Bills fans wants to watch play on sundays is watching them? Face it, until things change drastically here, the Bills are irrelevant to the big picture of the NFL. They will continue to take the shaft it if benefits the successful, and popular teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Giants, etc. I dont see the Patriots complaining, seems like we open with them quite often and we always have more rest then they do, since they almost always go deep into the playoffs and we never make it.

Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?
BuffBill replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Mine was also a joke. And I am relaxed....... Another Joke. -
What difference is it really gonna make? Over the past decade on more then a couple occasions, the Bills had one of the NFL's most favorable schedules and they still only won 4-6 games. Quit whining and win, things will change. Not to mention how difficult the Bills make creating their schedule with the Toronto game not being against a division team or a team that might draw good in Orchard Park. And they whine about having home games in December, so you can't have everything. But it does have something to do with the issue. The Bills have let the league know they don't like home games in December because they can't sell tickets. Like the other poster said, if they put a winner on the field once in awhile, tickets will sell a little bit better and they won't have to ask the league for special scheduling favors.

Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?
BuffBill replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think the Bills should change their name. My name is Bill and they have been so bad for over a decade it is derogatory towards me. Seriously, I think the Redskins should change their name, I personally am not the sensitive type, but I can understand Native Americans having a problem with it. If there were a team called Black Skins or Yellow Skins, do you think that would go over well? -

BuffBill replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't trade a player not under contract? Not saying it is a bad thing to resign your best players, but you are correct, they have resigned almost everyone from a team that is annually one of the worst in the NFL. Is that how you get better? So glad Nix is gone, nice guy but terrible GM. -

I wouldn't be surprised, it is about that time (every other year). He has never been as good as he thinks he is. -
ESPN article ranks Marv Levy # 17
BuffBill replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have heard just about every player from those teams who have an opinion just the opposite of yours. Great point. How soon people forget how great that era was. And the Titans should have never went to the one they did, the Bills should be 0-5 in Super Bowls, they probably would have got eaten alive by that Rams offense, but who knows. -
Will EJ Manuel make the top 100 NFL Players next year?
BuffBill replied to Ludwig van's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Outside of Buffalo? No.... Good chance he isn't in the top 15 on the Bills roster, and it isn't a great roster either. -
Youthful Bills could be looking to get even younger.
BuffBill replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You won't get anything for a 32 year old running back with a couple years in a row full of injuries. Besides, the Bills have nobody to replace him. I think the writing is on the wall for Lindell to be gone. -
Warren sapp slams J Byrd on NFLN
BuffBill replied to taglientep's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Warren Sapp has always been a big mouth attention whore with a checkered past. With that said, Byrd is a ballhawk who makes big plays, but isn't the greatest cover safety in the world. On a good team like the 49ers, Byrd would be another solid piece to a really good defense, on the Bills he is a superstar because the majority of the rest of the team is so bad. -
The Bills cuts this year will be coveted
BuffBill replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does anyone outside of the Bills organization or their fans even know who Easley is? Wasn't that a slap in the face. They threw optimism and the word "playoff" in your face and came out and looked pathetic against a bad team. Was like hitting a concrete wall and you knew it was another long season before game 1 was over. -

BuffBill replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Optimism and saying every team in the NFL is sitting chewing their fingernails waiting to see who the Bills cut so they can scoop them up before anyone else does are by far two completely different things. The depth here is mainly players either that aren't going anywhere or have been all over and nobody else wanted them. I "hope" we are good at WR, but to say we "ARE" good when there is only one proven receiver on the entire roster is laughable. -

Exactly, reminds me of 12 months ago when so many people on here were talking playoffs after Mario signed here? -

Relax, this is still a bottom 5/6 team in the NFL. Which "established" player is going to get cut? If you can't make it on a bad team, the odds are not alot of good teams will be looking for you. Unless they cut Kolb, which is doubtful, maybe Lindell, but he would be a mid season injury replacement if anything. This team still isn't forcasted to be a very good team (3rd worst playoff odds in Vegas of the whole NFL), they won't be cutting too many "good" players.
