  1. Greg, Joe on the extra point show was funny and said yesterday he’d rather have Josh throw an interception every throw than get any WR or Josh hurt.
  2. Hell I’d tell Mitch to grab him if he tries and wait for the defender to touch Allen. “I told you Josh, NO RUNNING”
  3. J. Johnson will probably be extended at a decent price, Hyde will be here at least in 2023 and then will be 34 in 2024. We are probably using 2 2nd round draft picks in 2023 and 2024 (meaning one each year). Hyde gets to mentor the safety picked in next years draft, and we’ll get younger. I wished Poyer was extended at say $11 mil./yr. for an extra 2 years, but these high contracts put that out of range now. No safety is worth $18-19 mil. You save big contracts for QB, LT, EDGE, and #1 CB. We may spend quite a bit on Oliver if he blows up those interior Lines for our opponents. With Von on the edge demanding double teams, Oliver should benefit the most from the Miller acquisition.
  4. Yep, and it doesn’t look like they are in the Jimmy G race anymore. They have our division as we know, but also the NFCS. If Winston plays like last year at 5-2, the rest of the Saints are aging, but stacked. The Bucs are going to be tough and they have us. The Fins may actually be good enough to beat a Jacoby led Hash Browns.
  5. No Lime, he was fined for… The CFL said… Those crazy Canucks don’t play around! But at least they have Curling. Anyone have a spare broom?
  6. Dubya, you can never go wrong with a family vignette (and sometimes the simpsons). You know I never watched that show until my ex and I separated so had the kids half the time, and the boys of course are Famiky Guy addicts at least back then. I sat down just to be with them and just started belly laughing. I must have been last to the party, but eventually was hooked. It’s a great view when on the eliptical or stairclimber as you forget how hard you’re working when you’re belly laughing. It does suck they could never convict that POS with any of the allegations. He deserved to go to prison.
  7. You make good points Chans. I know Cincy tried to improve their line and they have great skill players, but they also played a banged up Mayfield last year, a banged up Ravens team, and the Steelers are toast as was Ben. I just see a healthy Baltimore with going back to their 2019 roots in lots of 12 and 13 personnel. Lamar shined in this type of offense. He’s no Allen or Mahomes, but for what he does now, and still has the legs for it, I think they edge out Cincy. I can see a final record of: Baltimore 12-5 Cincy 11-6 Pittsburgh 9-8 Cleveland 9-8 BTW, Bills 13-4 and a dog fight into week 18 for the #1 seed. This is the scenario where we play our starters in week 18 and humiliate again the Cheats 47-17. Oh and Mac sucks an egg again where the Cheats finish 8-9.
  8. I actually like we’ll see some of the 1st stringers, but hopefully only one series, and make sure the starting line is in there to protect Allen. Note to Allen, ITS A MEANINGLESS GAME, SLIDE, TAKE A SACK, DONT DO A DAMN THING TO GET YOURSELF HURT! I’m sure McD will be in his headset from time to time to not run for extra yards. I’m betting Diggs will be in Bubble wrap on the sidelines like he was last year. I want what I think most of you want in seeing a lot of Benford, Elam, Bernard, all the new D Linemen not name Von, and they young RB and WRs. I’ll have to check as I do t know when it airs on NFLN.
  9. Do you need a hug? Carefulmwhat you wish Donuts. Have a good day bud. Thanks Albany for sharing. It’s so nice as you get to learn a little more about players you don’t know as much about. Most TBDers know the stars, but it’s cool learning more about Elam, Matt Barkley, J. Johnson, etc.
  10. Couldn’t agree more Donuts. I can’t kid about him as he’s disgusting. For those that make jokes, remember you’re daughter, sister or mom. Not so funny now. I said it before but this is the rare exception to knock this block off in a concussion. Any football players who have ethics and there are a lot, will knock this guys head off.
  11. You’re right. He’s just a disposable human being and my feeling are more about thinking o those girls. At the end of the day, football is entertainment. Abusing women in anyway is just wrong! I'm jaded by those feelings.
  12. I was hoping for a year, but at least he’s out for our game. $5 mil. Is a joke. It should’ve been for $20 mil. Hes a douche. No jokes please as every time I think of him, I think of if my daughter was treated in this manner. I never root for an injury, but in this case I’d make an exception.
  13. I’m so sorry for Dawson and his family. To lose a 23 yr. Would be heart wrenching. I have three kids, my oldest is 23. We are so close and couldn’t imagine being able to function of I lost any one of them. A father should never have to bury one of their children. Unfortunately, working in medicine, I get these notices every once in awhile as my last role was helping epilepsy patients and they have occasional deaths like this at sometimes a young age. Whatever happened, and I don’t need to know as that is personal, one can just hope is was not a painful loss, but something where he is at peace. Prayers to the Knox family.
  14. Well said. Inigo, thanks for posting, but I agree with MJS’s point that Elam is a rare talent. He was playing Man Only at UF, as he’s learning to play a blend of zone and a faster NFL. I can see our 4 CB’s being Tre, Dane, Elam, and Benford. I’m omitting Taron as he’s locked into the Nickel spot. what’s interesting is the backup safety jobs. They want guys who have position flexibility, but also potential starters for next year if they don’t do anything for Poyer, or Hyde the year after.
  15. You bring up a good point Corta. Roman caters Lamar now and Harbaugh is going along as they were highly effective in the 12 and 13 personnel with all of those TE’s. The problem is it stunts his development and he’ll never grow as a real QB. His legs start to wear down and he won’t go anywhere. It’s too bad as Lamar if Daboll was his OC, he may have grown over time.
  16. I have nothing against Lamar and agreed. He just has like you stated three years to figure out how to throw effectively outside the hashes. Frazier looks like a god as we defense him by covering up the middle and stopping running lanes. If Lamar wants to be the best, he has to throw those corner outside fades, and toe tap throws on a dime like JA can do with ease. I have nothing against Baltimore and like seeing them win especially more than anyone else in their division. They are a well run and managed team. Lamar is the factor. Can he really develop? Probably not this year as they loaded up on the TE personnel, which means they will go back to his all pro year and throw tons to the middle on these big bodies.
  17. Yeah, and agree. My oldest son who is 23, and a sharp kid in finance that the young girls all about Joe Cool. I guess he has a 20 something following. Lamar will wear out with his legs and be nothing eventually. Herbert, Mahomes, Allen, Joe Cool, and so on will be the stars of the league. they Re the next manning, Brady, Rivers, Big Ben guys. The ones we watch for the next decade and beyond.
  18. One of the most classic lines in football. Given him the business!
  19. Dawk, I’m glad you said it first as we can’t imagine what the cap is going to over the next poem of years. It’s eye popping. I hate losing Poyer, but I don’t see other teams next year paying him$16+ mil. At 32 at Safety. Bernard was drafted to take over Edmunds next year. Bedford is a surprise depth CB. We have some solid backup safeties and we’ll probably use a high pick next year at Safety. It wouldn’t surprise me. The Guy most likely over the next 2 years are Knox, Davis, and Oliver.
  20. Corta, first I remember last years posts so thanks for putting together. Indy as such a toss up I don’t agree. They have a more complete team and Ryan is an upgrade over Wentz. Ryan has played on bad ATL teams, but he has produced. With that RB and a solid defense, they will do well. I’m guessing the win the South at 10-7 to 11-6. Youre on point with almost all of the other locks and this might be the year the Chargers steal the Weet from the Chiefs. Look for the Raiders to be better as well. Rico I like you’re list, but for me the Ravens were solid until they were destroyed with injuries. They have a very deep roster and will go far with that 12 personnel formation. When the Bengals did well, the Ravens were banged up, Mayfield was playing through tons of injuries, the Steelers well Ben, yeah. They will have a much tougher time this year. I think the Ravens take the division, and the Bengals a wildcard.
  21. Yep, and Taiwan for ST and Gilliam. They like him as they value his versatility. The others are PS or gone. Moss does look better this year another year removed from the ankle injury. Is he the reincarnation of B Sanders, no, but he has power in short yardage.
  22. Exactly Chans. I’m in the camp to buy his services earlier rather than later and IR him. He’s a definite upgrade over Crowder once healthy and would probably mean less receptions for McKenzie in late November/December. Having Diggs, Davis and OBJ is a daunting thought. OBJ was impactful for the Rams when healthy. Id rather not wait it out as it increases the chances to outbid us. Besides we have a world class training facility, and our trainers and doctors can assist with his rehab. I’d make that a stipulation in his contract. It also gives him two months in rehab to learn the playbook, and get to know Allen. What Allen likes and not, so he can hit the ground running (no pun intended).
  23. He’s a good businessman, and is promoting his services in a variety of endeavors. My old VP of Sales and Marketing who is a great leader told me and others “You’re always moving up or down”. You never stay the same. It was great advice for me years ago on professional development. This has me liking him even more. He saw an opportunity and grabbed it. If he remains in this role and the league lasts a couple of years, he’ll still have time to develop QB’s I. The off season. You know he’s probably getting more selective what apprentices he brings on each year. It worked with JA, but didn’t help with Darnold. It’s what they do with the coaching.
  24. All kidding aside, don’t you think the Hall has been a little watered down? There are some like Curtis Martin I don’t think deserves to be in as Joes extra point show was about yesterday at least the portion I listened to as the 2022 class. There is no, and I mean NO excuse for Deon’s comments. He’s a neverending blowhard. When he publicly was pissed about not being called Coach in one press coverage was ridiculous.
  25. As much as I liked Coach Vermeil as a person, he wasn’t worth a yellow jacket. I can see Shanahan though as he was a winner. There are others that to me are ahead of Vermiel.
