  1. I doubt it success. Allen is proud of his consecutive starts doubles any active QB. I’m with many, let him hand off three times and pull him. Besides, these second stringers will benefit from more playing time. Let guys like Anderson, Bishop, Davis, and so on get more playing time. We can’t rest all of our O line, so some will start but the back five will get the bulk of the show.
  2. Bills 31 Jests 16 Cook, Davis, and Johnson are going to have a really good day today.
  3. That or give credit to McD for beating both teams in the SB last year in SF, KC, and the hottest offense in football this year in Detroit. Oh, that’s right, that doesn’t gel with the hate McD narrative. Let’s go back to the days where we fire a coach every two years and remain in the desert of a playoff drought for 17 years. Yeah, those years were fun.
  4. You ate your wheatties this morning Chongli. BTW- my wife didn’t know Bruce Lee so I showed her Enter the Dragon and mentioned a friend on the board assumed the name Chongli. She thought it was cool. The interesting point if my wife was born and raised in China. She only emigrated here 9 years ago.
  5. It’s kind of odd how quick this thread devolved into fear of the Bengals. The Bengals defense is so weak, I’m not concerned, and they most likely won’t make the playoffs even with the win over Denver. Well most likely face the Broncos or Chargers, then Baltimore and finally KC.
  6. The Jests are so bad as a rush defense, the whole room will do well. I’m hopeful we’ll accomplish with Josh included a 200 yard day tomorrow.
  7. I liked the Gumbel brothers for different reasons. I’m sorry for his family as I approach my mid 50’s, 78 is not that old. With Bryant, I always think of good investigative interviews with the Today show, and the Olympics. With Greg, it was always the NCAA tourney, and most importantly on Sundays. He was excellent. RIP Greg.
  8. It’s funny you write on this point as Sal has been making a similar point on WGR. He stated it’s not an our guys. the other guy. The reality is Josh had an MVP year last year, yet it was given to Lamar. This year Lamar is truly deserving, but so is Josh. I truly believe Josh will get it, but won’t cry in my milk if Lamar gets it. The media eggs this narrative on way too much.
  9. Bills 27 Jests 13 My reasoning is we need the 2nd seed starters or at least as many as possible will play. Once that is secured, in the 2nd half they’ll phase in at some point some backups. The Cheats is another matter if we know we have the #2, I’d expect Trubisky to start and so on.
  10. I think we’ll be fine against the Broncos, and the Achilles heel of the Ravens defense is they are 29th out of 32. They are incredibly susceptible to our passing game and that also limits their ability to run if we get up fast. That’s how we beat the Ravens. They have almost twice the losses as Buffalo. We commandingly beat the Chiefs again this year, and with luck, we won’t have 5 defensive starters out this time around like last year against the chiefs in the playoffs. We are getting healthier and we’ll probably load manage the rest of the games in the regular season. The Eagles to me is the real wildcard if we get to the dance. If it helps some to just always find the negative on a 12-3 team opposing two more weak teams, have fun. Some people just always find fault in anything they can grapple onto, and do the, but, but, but.
  11. We’re going to have to play mostly starters Sunday, as then we lock up the #2 seed, and then against the Cheats, it should just depend on each players heath. McD probably still wants to keep them in a rhythm so I wouldn’t be surprised if Allen is benched by the 2nd quarter in the last game.
  12. Well he’s had 1587 all purpose yards last year, and already at 1186 before these last two games to go. He’s not injured, so he’ll probably carry some water these last two games.
  13. We’ll find out by tomorrow night so kind of no point in going through every scenario. I’ll watch the games, and think about it Thursday. These outcomes dictate a lot. What does make sense as a general rule is if people are injured and iffy to play, make sound decisions whether to pay or not any starter. It depends on these backups at which position, and make sure we are healthy in the playoffs. The balance is we also need our players to remain sharp. My bottom line is at this point I trust McBeane.
  14. GB, I appreciate you sharing as this is the new NFL, and the days of Jérôme Betis are not as common. Cooks acceleration and shiftiness is a treasure and when we need an anger we have Davis. We also have explosiveness from Johnson and a solid pass catcher. I love our RB room.
  15. BT, thanks for sharing. That was nice of you on Xmas eve.
  16. No Badol, just simply we’re going to talk about these topics non stop from February - June. What’s the rush?
  17. Id agree as I made the compromise in other threads. Plays the starters if healthy for the first half so they are in a rhythm, but rest them for the emerging players ir backup ps in the 2nd half so they are starters remain relatively healthy, but still in game time firm.
  18. Interesting take Ghost, but for me as a fan, I’ll worry and talk about this topic in mid February and beyond, as I’m invested in this year. For me, and me a,one, there is no reason for me to be thinking about something that’s not over this year.
  19. As much as I laugh T this one, my favorite is this…
  20. Gugs, you’re right, but according to US Census statistics, 93% of America in some for. Identify themselves as Christian. Some of those maybe elect to be agnostic, but in any occasion, when a friend or acquaintance I know is Jewish, I’ll always acknowledge to them Happy Hanukkah. I work with more than enough Muslim amd Indian surgeons who are usually of their faiths and acknowledge their respective holidays as well. It honestly doesn’t matter to me as I respect all faiths. For me though, it is Merry Christmas, and refuse to say Happy Holidays. Anyway, Merry Christmas all. Enjoy your family and friends however you’d like and even Happy Festivis (saw the Seinfeld episode this morning)
  21. His contract is through 2026
  22. Yep, and the overreaction posters on the board wanted to release him a year or two ago even though he came out drafted with no camp (COVID) and injured all of season his second season, so didn’t get it truly together until his third season. Now in his 4th he absolutely deserved an extension. He’s also basically Allen’s personal bodyguard given when an opponent tries to cheap shot Allen, Brown the 6’8” all muscle beast jumps in like in a heartbeat. I love that version of nasty. Hes been an excellent RT the last two years, and was solid for a rookie that season.
  23. Never will happen. Tre tore his Achilles and a full ACL tear. That’s oranges and apples. As far as resting starters, we’ll know if we’re going for it for the next 2 weeks by We’d. Night when the Chiefs game wins or loses to the Steelers.
  24. Blue, they blitzed more because we had 5 backups and they weren’t communicating well enough in zone, so Babich had to revert to man coverage, with the help of blitzing. That’s all. Guys, we’ll get all these guys back before or in the playoffs. There’s no reason to panic. So many are looking like they want to give any reason possible to dislike the winningest coach we’ve had besides Levy in Bills history who oh, btw won the last 5 AFCE championships and that is better than Levy. We had a passing offense Sunday, but ran for 172 yards.
