  1. It’s an unsubstantiated rumor. I seriously doubt it. RB’s get banged up all the time and they know it. We need depth.
  2. Bruce, I have a movie I’d like you to see. He’s a steady directional punter who’s lost a little in his leg, but gets the job done. Let’s face it, we need dependable as I expect us to be towards the bottom in needing to punt in the league.
  3. Donuts, they just extended or reclaimed Jimmy G.. That should tell you everything brother. They only paid that $25 mil. If they needed him. I agree though on he should be ready by now. He was so raw I think he might be decent by next year of coached well. you’re on point my friend.
  4. Nuts, (whoops forgot the Do- 🤩) Lance is not ready in my opinion. They should’ve red shutter him again and played Jimmy G. Jimmy G. Is not a savior, but he can run a team better than Lance. They are a tough rugged, run first, tough defensive team. If they had acquired a Watson as disgusting of a man as he is, they’d would be scary good. The Rams Donuts I believe will take it. The only concern with them is Stafford’s elbow. Thankfully, it might be a problem early in the year which is good for us in week 1.
  5. I can’t remember the name of the guest who was on with Joe on the extra point show, but he made good points that Howard is a better blocker than Sweeney and is why we brought him in here as well as a big and tough red zone target. Morris went down today with a hammy, so we’ll see. He is much closer to Knox then the others. Sweeney is most likely a cut, if a little serious Morris to PUP, and it’s Knox and Howard. Howard may not have the explosiveness he had at Alabama, but if he can be what I described above, he can help. Sweeney is useless. A nice guy, but looked horrible when he had to step up last year. Thats my gut. I’m not saying I’m right, just my POV.
  6. Im glad you took it in jest Dave. How many knuckleheads start endless threads about throwaways. I understand an OBJ or Gesecki as these are guys that could potentially help this really deep roster. But you know what happens here. Have a great day bud. Now, I know House, or Eball are going to screw with me and start 8 threads. Just kidding guys.
  7. It’s a player popularity contest. We know it’s silly, but the vote happened at thanksgiving. What I don’t understand is why they don’t conduct the vote the last week of the season. I say that as all the players are still in their buildings, and the day after the season, the non playoff teams take off. It would make it harder to conduct the vote. Talk about ironic, he’s 13. 13 seconds, yadayada.
  8. Thanks Jag. To give an example, if Cook was driving a BMW in Hamburg, and was shot in a robbery, I would be surprised. Not that there is no crime in Hamburg, but a lot less likely than another area. I will say a prayer for the guy. It’s not a great way to start you’re NFL career. For the most part, Rivera comes across as a class act, so hopefully they keep him on PUP as I’m sure he’ll need a month to recover.
  9. Chandman, I wrote this as first, you’re an early riser like me, amd 2nd, I knew you get the joke.
  10. We’re there any details as to where this occurred? Unfortunately, there are certain neighborhoods you just don’t want to go at night.
  11. TC, thanks for the link. This is actually a pretty cool tracker. Seeing as it’s Monday, I’ll wait til tomorrow as it will start filling up, and we can have an endless amount of threads on “hey I see this guy, cut, let’s bring him in”. It’s coming guys. My over/under on this in the next five days is 7.
  12. He’s a PS guy. I’m fine with that as crazier things have happened where god forbid JA and Keenum are hurt even temporarily and you need a body.
  13. Yep CB, I think they have already. They have an idea of the cap explosion. We’ll see what happens and the ones we discussed will most likely find places elsewhere.
  14. Bang. PS, and the team has the discretion to give him more than the minimum. They can sweeten a little and he probably won’t be poached. It’s the smart move. He’ll be here IMO.
  15. I hope you didn’t mind the pun. It was with luv brother. Yeah, I think we have the three we need. Benford might be Edmunds replacement in time. Hyde if he understands he is getting older may accept a short extension. The backup safeties have been good. They won’t be Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde, but the TSW guys have to get used to the fact that our team is so good we will lose some. Minimize risk, and maximize gains. I say it often, but in McBeane we trust or at least me.
  16. AirBNB, don’t forget Oliver if we’re talking over two years, but whole heartedly agree with you’re two and Oliver. I’m confident with these new DTs and Von, and year 2 with Rousseau, we are going to see a great year for Oliver.
  17. You just gave me nightmares of when my three were babies. Bla bla bla goes through the door. Ugghh. At least Barbie was kind of cute. I was much happier when the boys got into Annoying Orange, SpongeBob, and Family Guy. Im just hopeful my kids when they have kids have to endure the same Sadist punishment. Man, I love my kids.
  18. Nah, Darnold is our backup next year. I honestly wouldn’t doubt it though. Keenum is only guaranteed for this year and Darnold is younger. Besides, don’t you think Allen has the juice now to ask Beane to bring him in as his backup. Heck, they practice together with the same QB whisperer in Palmer.
  19. Exactly. I had a business partner a long time ago who was a punter for FSU, and we discussed the mechanics of kicking and punting. They are two different unique skills. It worked out fine in a meaningless game. Barkley is an interesting guy. I’m guessing they’ll PS him this year as really our 2nd AB coach. On a side note, I liked what Sal explained the other day. He mentioned how Dorsey will be in the booth, because Brady will be on the field. He was the play caller for Carolina last Year so between Keenum, Barkley, and Brady, Allen will get all the feedback he needs plus a booth view from Dorsey.
  20. War, you kill me with these posts. Im gokng to have to start looking for them on YouTube. You are right though. Think of my situation, I have to temporarily root for the guy until he gets the heck out of Tampa. At least for my kids sake. I still think he’ll probably have a decent year here and go to Miami next year. The league really can’t stop the move next year. Ross is an old desperate man who will do anything to have a SB winning team before he dies. The good news is he’ll be 46 next year and Allen will wipe the floor with him twice!
  21. They didn’t have the game down here so I didnt see it, but wouldn’t surprise me. BM is a tool. Josh is a class act. My guess is he would do the same in the season if it were possible. Its too bad Darnold was scarred so badly from a completely dysfunctional organization in the Jets. I never thought he was worth the 3rd overall pick, but then honestly I never knew at that time how good or bad Allen would become. I sincerely hope Darnold once healed can get picked up as a backup somewhere. I was listening to Howard and Jeremy well actually Joe and Jeremy, and they were quizzing on all the backups in the league. It made our QB field look to be one of the best. He will be an upgrade in a number of clubs.
  22. You beat me to it. Why all the concern about a player who will never be used this year? 🙀🦬🏋️‍♂️🙏 All kidding aside, some guys will shake loose once cuts happen Tuesday. We only need a serviceable punter. It was a nice bonus to have a guy who can knock it out of the park, but it’s not a necessity.
