Baldy's Breakdown Bills Jets Week 17
machine gun kelly replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall
Freddy, if other guys haven’t thanked you for finding Baldy’s breakdown enough, I’m thanking you. I love his analysis as he’s pretty objective so he doesn’t seem to do the hot take crap so many others do on the tv shows. -
The 2024 Bills are the 2022 Chiefs
machine gun kelly replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chans, thanks for putting so much work into this thread. You’re a bit salty at times, but you do proved valuable info. Others have brought up the variables that will affect the Bills end of playoffs, but they have the firepower and coaching to do it. A lot has to break our way. -
I see Ray Davis and Ty Johnson having a good day. The Cheats run defense is very suspect (I keep it simple and go to espn nfl team stats and you can see in each category strengths and weaknesses). We’ll want to minimize risk to Trubisky so a healthy dose of the run will help get us through the game. Even the backup line will prefer to run block. Anyway, that’s my two cents.

I’m torn. On one hand a three year deal would put him to 29, but he’s excellent. The flip side is a tag and gets him to 27. Most RB’s start tailing off by 27. He’s borderline for me of an extension, but that’s an $8 mil. Extension, not more. The tag option allows another 3rd round pick and just keep the room going. We’ll need $ for more expensive options like extending GROOT, Benford, and so on. These guys can keep giving contributions to this team.

Week 18, Bills v. Cheats, PREDICT THE SCORE!
machine gun kelly replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 13 Cheats 9 this will be an ugly game and that’s fine if we have no one on the injury report. -
I remember that Steelers game very weak, and I think 2004. I still think McD is doing the right thing as in past playoff games, we lost because we had key injury losses, specifically KC.

Bernard is fine. They are holding him out simply because the game is meaningless. They need to hold out Benford, Douglas, and Taron as well. Let as many guys as possible rest and be ready for the playoffs. The op is trying to stir up trouble, but it’s his opinion so that’s fine. im also fine with Milano out too as a healthy scratch. I don’t think we’ll see Von either and could care less. My gut is elevated an o lineman and WR so cooper and Shakir can rest. When Josh goes out so should the other starting o linemen. We may win with our depth even with second stringers.

He’s actually a good coach, and had a bad GM. He also restores order and discipline and that is sorely needed in NJ. He’ll have to contend with a meddling goofball for an owner.
-
Bud, I think Sal made a good point in that if we elevate an O Lineman, we get to 10 so 2 squads. The reasoning is with Allen getting the starters and Trubisky getting th 2nd stringers, if Allen has to go back in we get the starters. I thought logical. Well see what happens.

IDK why you guys care about the popularity contest like the players top 100. The important ones are the 1st team all pro, 2nd team, MVP, and the ROY awards, And even offensive and defensive player of the year awards. Those matter and mean something. If Allen doesn’t get the pro bowl, that should tell you everything.
-
IDK TPS, with Josh active to start the game so activate a 3rd seems excessive. If for some reason Trubisky gets hurt in the game, they’ll just put Josh back in to finish. The coaching staff is going to call a conservative game with lots of handoffs so the liklihood of a Trubisky getting an injury is a small one. We have other players we need resting and Imlike you’re second point is sitting Cooper and Shakir.
-
We’ll be lucky to sit 8-10 at best. Good point. I didn’t want to say anything before and before anyone asks, you can only activate 2 in a given week for the PS.

I always try to look at the bright side, so based on the schedule and how teams performed this year, most of the contending tough teams will be at home barring an international game.

Let’s hope 2025 is even better than 24. My family wishing you all a wonderful and blessed year.

Do you want the Bills to win this week?
machine gun kelly replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
I only answered yes, as I think the problem is mitigated with safety by resting at least 11 of the 22 starters. If it’s an either/or then safety. I could care less if the Cheats get the #1 pick, as they alepready have Maye so they’ll bundle that pick for multiple picks which is what they need. The difference is I have zero confidence in Mayo as a coach. -
Guys, to put in perspective through 16 games in defense, we’re 11th against in points, 13th against the rush, and the place where lacking is against the pass at 22nd. So, I’m not stating we are the 1999 Ravens on defense, but we’re also not atrocious, and balanced with 2nd highest scoring offense in the league. I also think as one person pointed out, we’re getting healthy and that will only improve as any questionable players in terms of health will sit Sunday.

Bill, I’m guessing the same with a healthy Milano, Bernard, and Williams we’ll play more base (3 LB’s) which means we’ll be more susceptible to the pass against Baltimore. Cine may also play more as well in that game so it’s not normally a great idea pulling one of our best in Taron, but we’ll have Taron out there for Denver and KC if we get that far. These base ideas are unique to our Baltimore opponent. The key with the Ravems is clog up the middle along with a base defense, and you invite Lamar to only throw outside the hashes. He can do that, but not nearly as well as the other elite QB’s like Burrow, Josh, and Herbert.
