Wild Card Round, Broncos v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
machine gun kelly replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Similar. A telling point is McD is 9-4 against rookie QB’s. He’ll have Nix seeing ghosts by the end of the game. Bills. 27 Broncos 17 -
Glad you’re good Scuba Steve. It looks like it will be cold for a couple of days. I welcome it as I get to haul out the leather jackets and sweaters.
-
Dion will handle him. He’s a multiple time pro bowler and has been nothing less than stellar. Agreed with New Era he’s formidable, but Dion has faced that before. Besides Josh is one of the least sacked guys in the league as he evades pressure. He can also put on the cape if he needs to do it as he’s incredible in the playoffs. A heck of a better than Lamar. His playoff record is atrocious.

Scuba, my man Chandman is in Jax where it was 36 degrees in Tampa this morning feeling like 31, soJax probably was 5 degrees colder. I know it’s not Buffalo at 16 degrees this morning, but the difference is you don’t deal with four months of 93 degree weather with 95% humidity day in and out. I know you were just kidding, and Chand, thanks for sharing the video. That was awesome. BILLIEVE!!!!!

Raiders had discussions with Belichick about becoming their HC

Amari Cooper is back and will practice

Agreed. Some get so myopic on him missing a meaningless game, when speculating of course, but a loss issue, or a family matter that are not our business. This game matters. I knew if we were patient, he would do the right thing. He wants to win as much as all of us. We are favored by 8.5 pts. So the guys in the desert seem to think we’ll win. I don’t disagree, but might be closer than 8.5. The only winning team record is the win over my Bucs who finished 10-7. They lost to every playoff or even team with a winning record. We on the other hand beat the SB champs in the Chiefs, the hottest team this year in the Lions, and it’s important to consider the 49ers were in the SB last year. Let’s not forget the 10-7 Hawks. We beat them as well. We are battle tested and should win this week, but probably by 3-4. -
Raiders had discussions with Belichick about becoming their HC
machine gun kelly replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
He did it with the Jets. It wouldn’t be the first time. He’d be smart to stay at UNC and set up his kid for the next head coaching job in 3 years as he’ll be 76-77. -
I didn’t write elite, but we have several very solid players that came here because they want to play with Josh. The easiest example is he bought O Line. We didn’t overpay for Edwards, and McGovern, yet we have a top O Line in the NFL. Go look at whatever website you want. Cooper was a trade, but we captured him for $850 k, and whether you agree he’s a solid player, he’s helped this team. Rasul Douglas loves being here, and we didn’t overpay for him. We also have depth players that want to play on a winning team as evidenced by a 3rd 13 win season. What do you want? Sure, the SB, but that’s what 31 teams want every year. The team is more than a sum of its parts. This is probably the second most talented team in the NFL behind the Eagles, if you consider head to toe. Not just the starters.

You beat me to it Turk. Players often pointed out they want to play with Josh and take less. This is a desirable market, and the canopy already will cover 65% of fans. In time maybe they can make small increases to 75% or so, but is that really so bad. The wind confusion alone will mitigate a large portion of the harsh elements. If you go from high winds to almost nothing or slight, and you’re not rained or snowed on, the fan has still gets our history of an outdoor team. its better than what Pittsburgh, Cleveland, NE, NJJ, and NJG deal with regularly. Players want to play with HOF QB in the making. There is no way Josh doesn’t get into the HOF with another 10-12 years of success under his belt.

I hate when you guys (the few) bring up past misery, and yes, it was a forward pass. The crappy thing is I had to go to an NSM (National Sales Meeting) in Nashville right after the game. It was horrible. I certainly Oy had my Bills cap on every morning at the hotel gym, and argued with work colleagues. I must have said 30 times, it was a forward pass.

Pin the Head Coach on the Donkey....
machine gun kelly replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting minds think alike. Carroll is a decent candidate for Chicago. Chicago desperately needs a seasoned leader, one who will get the Bears defense working again, and a promising running game as he did at the Jets, USC, and Seattle. He’s an up tempo coach who motivates his teams. Caleb would benefit from those two aspects and Carroll will groom his replacement in 2-3 years and get their program back to viability. As much as I like Ben Johnson, he’s meant for a different type of team. I like Johnson, but if he ends up getting an experienced QB, he will flourish at his first HC gig. GB, I forgot to say thanks as you’re posts are always thoughtful and insightful. -
Personally, I consider Sunday a win. Rest everyone, stay healthy and screw the Cheats out if #1. The heck with those guys. I’ll forever hate the Cheats and Fish.

That was my take as well, and it’s none of our business if he had a death in the family, or some other family tragedy. If McD states he’ll most likely play, he’ll play. As a reminder, he probably wants an extension so this is last chance in the playoffs to prove his worth. He was cheap this year, so now we’ll see if he’s worth it. I like Cooper, but he has been up and down. I’m not a hot take quick overreaction guy, but really want to see some great performances in the playoffs. He helps us get to the SB, and I’m all in on paying him.
-
I thought you were going among the many to select Joe Brady. Chicago is an attractive spot as they have a QB, who needs development, some young talent, and 8 draft pics, 3 in the first couple of rounds.
-
Sack, I’m just reading, but agree with you. He's a good coach, but when they give you bad ingredients, the cook can only do so much as Parcel’s stated many years ago. With his resume, he’ll get picked up right away for someone needing DC talent. If I were Chicago, once their HC is hired, I’d scoop him up in a heartbeat as Chicago needs an excellent defensive coordinator, and has young talent.

He was fired before the game started. It was rumored by Schaefter before the game started.

Masterclass by McD - drops the Pats from #1 overall to #4
machine gun kelly replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Add to it, Cook ties the single season TD record from OJ, SAM Martin gets his bonus, Von gets his bonus on the 1st play if the game, and so on. I guess the whole McD narrative again is debunked. Fantastic. Cheats welcome to the suck for another 5 years. -
Von Miller needs 1 sack for $1.5 million
machine gun kelly replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m happy Von had that last sack for his incentive, and now Cook had his TD record for a season TD. I don’t think he’s breaking 1000 but not paying that close attention. It’s been a nice game, and if we get that Gilliam or other TD reception, that would be a nice seal. -
Who are some candidates for OC if Brady gets a HC job?
machine gun kelly replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I loved the princess bride with my kids when they were young. Inconceivable! And I’m not the six fingered man. As far as replacements for Brady, that assumes after only 1 full year Brady will get a shot. Maybe, but it took Daboll a couple of years before he had a realistic shot. Im hopeful we get another year out of Brady as he’s a gem. The other consideration is some offers he may be considered, Brady may not want. Last year, Ben in Detroit passed on interviewing for one of the jobs as he wanted the right opportunity. The one that looks entertaining for a HC candidate is Chicago. They have a lot of young talent, a QB, who needs developing, and $ to spend. If the ownership family were smart, they take an experienced previous leader like Vrabel, Rivera, or before he went to. UNC BB. They don’t just need an innovator, they need a leader that can shape the culture. -
Instead of giving away the farm for one impact player that will draw $30 mil. a year off the cap, Beane has been excellent at getting mid round popeople for McD and his team to develop. Think of Milano, Shakir, Benford, and so on. This should bring us up to 10 picks. That provides a great deal of flexibility to move up when we see someone, create even further depth at each position. It’s also cheap labor. This is exactly what we need to extend GROOT, Benford, if they decide Cook, etc. A few always want to find fault for a team that could go tomorrow for the first time in history a 14 win team, or tie the best record in years last at 13, and so much potential to keep our keepers and add where we want.

Baldy's Breakdown Bills Jets Week 17
machine gun kelly replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall
Respectfully you must have never played or coached competitive football. You play until the whistle is blown. If Dawkins were to kick him after the play, that’s a cheap shot. Playing til the whistle is the definition of football. There is nothing cheap about it. -
Baldy's Breakdown Bills Jets Week 17

Freddy, if other guys haven’t thanked you for finding Baldy’s breakdown enough, I’m thanking you. I love his analysis as he’s pretty objective so he doesn’t seem to do the hot take crap so many others do on the tv shows.
