I think all of the top defensive players will be gone along with Murray. Our best shot in my humble opinion is to get a generational TE as they are just not that common. Name the last year we saw 4 top TE’s in one draft. I’m still all in on Hockinson. He can block, catch and run. He would be an excellent Red Zone threat jumping over the CB, and using his body at 250 lbs. to block someone out.

Offense or Defense in Round 1

And we probably will not see any of these guys. -
Fournette busted in Jax. INterested?
machine gun kelly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would take him at the right price. -
You make a good point as he won’t be on the field as much. Daboll plays a lot of 12 personnel, so we’ll have if we can draft one of the top 3 TE’s, there will be less WR’s on the field. Brown and Foster as well as Beasley will be the top 3, not in that order necessarily, so Jones is going to be in more when in 11 personnel, a single back so we have 4 wides in on the play. He’ll probably contribute more in special teams.

I guess this topic can now be closed by the mods. The OP, no worries on sending this over. It was interesting. -
You say you're all for BPA, but do you mean it?
machine gun kelly replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
SoCal, I was criticized for this opinion, but everyone has the right to their own opinion. I respect the idea of BPA, but so many teams just so happen to also somehow find players where they want to bolster their roster. I think with the first couple of rounds they will fill needs with the BPA that also meets a need, and guess by round 3 or 4 will just truly pick the BPA available for the man reasons other posters referenced regarding roster turnover, etc. It does help we picked up I think it’s 15 by now free agents, not that all will make the team. It is relieving to see two very good WR’s, 6 O Line, and some bolstering of special teams. We’ll see as none of us are Beane, and wouldn’t be surprised if we bundle some picks over the draft to keep moving up for better players, even if it’s only 7 picks. At the end of the day, it’s just speculation by all of us, and no one even the mock draft supposed experts seem to get it right. There are just too many variables. -
Thanks Old Timer. I found the same after posting yesterday. If split between the state and Pegulas, could make sense. I’m not saying 50% each, just some kind of split. After all, it is the NYS NFL team.

I see us building something like the Colts stadium. It’s been awhile, but at that time it was $700 mil. Or so. If we remain under a billion, everyone will be happy. The biggest thing is they buy enough space so we don’t lose our tailgate experience, as they probably would build in the first ward. Land is cheap and the state could give a sweetheart deal on taxes if so. we’ll see. NF doesn’t have the infrastructure, and the Ralph has seen it’s dayby 2023. That will be 52 years at Rich Stadium. Believe me I love where it is now as whole family lives in Hamburg and OP, but probably not practical.

Tight End and Defensive Tackle Draft Depth
machine gun kelly replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As much as I love Hockinson at TE, as he could be generational, it does make sense to take Taylor at 9, or trade down a few slots, then get Hockinson. Either way, offense, offense, offense. we can always trade up with 10 picks to get back in the first round to take one of the other two specialties you mentioned. I read too much about volume, but wouldn’t you rather get 7 picks and move up a couple of better players. Hardly anyone starts at the 5 th round or later. Those are depth picks. I know there are many exceptions so I understand, but the higher the pick, the greater the chance if picked well, we could get four day one starters, and maybe someone else before the end of the draft. we’ve made a lot of solid decisions in free agency, and still have $33 mil after the draft based on SPOTRAC. We can save some for next year, and make some decisions post draft as there will be talent out there. -
And Schoop and the Bulldog are unbiased. I respectfully disagree. I can’t stand how if you don’t agree with them, they slam them either when the caller is on, or after. Im not saying you make a good point Murph and Tasker can be a bit of homers, but the two are the JERRY Sullivan of the radio. Sorry for the caps on Jerry. That was an auto correct on my IPad. My fault for not checking before posting.

As I’m reading this thread, I was thinking the same. Who cares though? It was in the 80’s and Ralph made the biggest mistake not staying out of the way of Knox. He turned this team around and won against the Dolphins for the first time in 10 years and had a terrific resume turning around the Rams. Then Mr. Wilson in his infinite wisdom fires the best coach we had since Saban.

Unpopular Take. The Bills should trade for Rosen
machine gun kelly replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um, NO! -
And do it all over again every three years. I see them getting the five years. I also am seeing a team being built from the ground up and spending wisely. Now we have 10 draft picks and still money to sustainably spend each year without going upside down (see Whaley). You can’t quick fix a program. If over the five years, they don’t consistently improve, yes I agree Bagarang.

If the Bills don't draft a pass rusher...........
machine gun kelly replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don’t pick high enough to get the best pass rusher. They may pick one, but not a given. -
Opening Night Confirmed GB v CHI, SNF Pats host
machine gun kelly replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love a PACs Bears game now that the Bears are good. Rodgers always puts on a show, and we’ll see how their newer management does with building up their defense this off season. -
1 down, 2 B’s to go. I’d lay money it will be two more years, not 4-5 as those hits are going to pile up and Giselle is going to get sick of waiting losing him for half a year minimum. Id bet Brady skips a lot of OTA’s. Belicheck would be turning 69 three years from now so likely he rides off with Brady.

New rule to replace onside kick?
machine gun kelly replied to Mij yllek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey let’s go back to the Teddy Roosevelt days where 24 guys were killed in games. It was interesting the 100 years of football on NFLN. I’m glad we’re trying to make the game as safe as possible while still fun. -
New rule to replace onside kick?
machine gun kelly replied to Mij yllek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The AAF is a great testing ground for new rules. I love the AAF eye in the sky, and televising it. If the NFL doesn’t comply, they are going to look like they are hiding something. Their games are limited to 2.5 hours so you can’t say it will take longer. If they we t for the 4th and 12, I’m fine with it, but only if the whole game. Having a different rule for the 4 th qarter is wrong. They should also still give the option of an on side kick. Give the losing team options. It won’t fly though.
