They were talking about it this morning on WGR and I think it Jeremy who mentioned he’d rather trade for Amari Cooper since Gruden is selling. He has a lot of years ahead of him and may cost more in draft capital but far cheaper than a 31 yr old Thomas who has a high price tag for half a year.

BB - you’re right as he would have to declare as an eligible receiver and someone else would have to stay back, otherwise a penalty so they will know he is going out for a pass and the middle is completely exposed.

Teddy next year will have to make a decision as to how long will Brees play. NO most likely will pay to retain him. Even with Brady and Brees saying they will play for another 5 years, I seriously doubt it. Age has a way of making you retire.

4-12. They can’t produce an offense. A change in QB ( a backup for most of his career) is not going to magically change this offensive production. The line won’t change, the WR won’t change, etc.

As you probably know you can’t really strengthen a ligament, only RICE (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) and NSAIDS. If he can work diligently at strengthening the muscles, he might make it back in a couple of weeks. He probably doesn’t have any feeling in his fingers. i seriously doubt they will do surgery.

Both! We should have picked up Landry Jones too, and cut Peterman, not practice squad. Also, why was Murphy inactive given our ST play. I still think we trade McCoy , and use picks for Peterman. Patrick Peterson would make us the absolute best secondary in the NFL along with Poyer, Hyde, and White. It would be next to impossible to have a good passing game. I doubt we get a second and third for McCoy, but possibly a 3 rd and 4th. i would definitely give those for Peterson, but to sweeten pot we give them Benjamin. They lost Brown in the off season and Fitz’s is most likely retiring at the end of the year. i don’t see many WR trades worth it even after reading that article today. Peterson is 28 and has at least five or more years ahead of him. Nothing is going to make us a great offense, but McCoy only had one good game for us, and Philly is desperate due to their injured back. They want to return t9 the SB, and with that line McCoy would shine. i love the idea. Peterson is still one of the top 3 man to man CB in the league. Think about White and Peterson taking out the top two WR or TE of the opposing team. We could blitz more and put incredible pressure on the opposing QB. The front four has been excellent against the run.

I’d rather see more crossing routes from Clay, swing passes to Ivory as he’s prone to getting yards after catch and just let McCoy do his thing. I agree on some TE help with Mills. Even if Clay just chips him and runs his intermediate routes.

I agree. Daboll does not have much to work with, and this last game at least they ran the ball. I know the offense is terrible, but the defense is looking sharp. My guess is we are going to run as much as possible, and try to win with defense. We can hopefully load up on offense next year and be a contender.

Poyer is the backup holder. They should just put him in as he’s not running.
