I don’t know why he didn’t just give it up, like Cowher, and Gruden for a long time. He works probably 20% of what he used to do, and probably gets at least 70% of his compensation as a coach, and won’t embarrass himself again. A lot of casual listeners like him as he is very colorful as an analyst, and will say things others don’t, because he was probably coached by producers, to act in that manner.

Van Miller Estate Auction

No he was an advertising executive and knew every person in that building. He survived the Courier days, spoke with Warren Buffett once a year with the other execs, and he told me a nice story where Mr. Wilson left a News meeting, and they both walked together towards I think M&T bank. He said he was nothing but a gentleman and once in the bank, my Dad told me he spent another 10 minutes talking about the Bills. i know he loved working there, and helped me with a college job there when home. It was always nice talking to Murray Light, the editor as he was another friend of my father and spoke at his retirement. Outside of working the docks, I delivered all the inter office mail, and a treat for me was I was Stan Lipsey’s Driver to get him to the airport, who was the Publisher. Anyway, fond memories for him, and myself. I’m going to see if my sister can go to the auction, to get something small. My dad would. Love. That. -
I remember asking Sal on the point after why we didn’t just place him on IR, and he made a good point the coaching staff from top to bottom DA’s achievement of preparing Allen on top of the staff, and would bring up excellent points in prepping for the next appointment. i can see why extended him for next year, maybe he takes a year off with family and goes into being a QB coach. Barkley seems like a good second string player, and neither are expensive.

Allen’s play will eventually prove these knuckleheads right or wrong. He certainly is the best prospect we’ve had since Kelly. He may only end up average, or a stud. It’s what he does this off season will show what he can do. -
Is the Pro Bowl worth going to?
machine gun kelly replied to BattlinBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let’s put it this way, I live 1.5 hours from Orlando and still won’t go. The weather is nice so if you just want a trip with you’re boys, that’s always worth it. Have a good time. -

Bills Should Be Judicious in Free Agency
machine gun kelly replied to racketmaster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are not going to overspend, and will keep reserves to resign people in 2020, and continue this path for several years. -
Clay told he will be released this offseason?
machine gun kelly replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If anyone thinks we’ll trade him, I seriously doubt anyone would give up anything for him. He’ll be cut at some point and as the previous person have to get the league minimum on a prove it deal. -
Are the Bills satisfied with their current RB's ??
machine gun kelly replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which means he’s young enough to be part of the plan for next year, and we pick up a stud RB in 2020. -

John - I agree we stay with these guys as Murphy is fast and young, we can at least one more good year out of Shady and Ivory with a better line, and the kid didn’t look too bad. We have to get other parts fixed first on offense, and keep our defensive players. -
Happy New Year everyone!

OT Jonah Williams in the first
machine gun kelly replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He won’t be there at 9, butt BB i’ve Already stated we should move up if needed to grab him. Excellent OT’s almost never come available in fre agency or trade, and they cost a ton. We should seek out Guards and Centers where needed in free agency and trades as they cost less and solidify the line with Jonah. We also have the $ for one to two WR’s or a TE. Thats the smart move. -
Anyone else feeling a bit depressed?
machine gun kelly replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel the same way, as the NFL is my one sport I am fanatical about. NFLR and WGR during Bills segments I are the only channels on my radio. My one belated Christmas wish is Kyle gets those 1.5 sacks to make it to 50, He gets that TD pass at the end of the game or let him power run it in, and of course win the game convincingly. My last wish is the standing ovation is deface I gotta, and the teams pulls a Rudy, and carries Kyle around the stadium and off the field on these r shoulders. if that happens the water works are going to start pouring out for me. It’s really the end of an era with Frederick leaving, Wood retiring, and now Kyle. They have been the bedrock of a never give up team for beloved Bills. Billieve!!! -
Todd Collins (where are they now?)
machine gun kelly replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have made so many mistakes across the board in Mgmt, drafts, coaching, prioritizing a QB more, and so on. Collins May have been a mistake, but it was one of many. i wish nothing, but the best, and loved at the very end of his career, he played well in Washington. Reminds me with the new rules for the QB, and hos so many QB’s admit they are so much more game ready in their early 30’s. If Josh needs to use his legs for the first couple of years, and keeps developing in the pocket, we may see a new dynasty in the AFCE in the future. -
Jonah Williams or Ed Oliver??
machine gun kelly replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OT’s almost never come available in trades or free agency, and Jonah is about as plug and play as you could ask. For those who don’t like he’s 303 lbs., he’s going to gain muscle weight as he is in the pros. 315-320 is perfec as it is a balance of power and athleticism. This coaching staff wants more athletic lineman. I’ll agree with an earlier posters on the line, but it should be centers, or guards. They cost less and some studs sometimes come available. Not a Zack Martin, but some high quality interior lineman. It is a much better use of the Pegulas dollars and skill players should be a balance of free agency, trades, and the draft. Look what hat we did in one year on defense. I hope we give Daboll a raise so he doesn’t pursue the Packer, Browns, probably Dolphins, etc. Make him Assistant Head Coach, and off the record, the higher Mgmt can ask him to give us two more years as there are always HC openings every year. Continuity for Allen is the key. -
Pretty on point, but you never know how things will shake out. Free Agency and trades will determine what we do in the draft. I’m betting Beane and McD will bundle draft pics to get better people higher in the draft. Even though we have 10 or so picks, if we can the right 7 guys for starters and depth, we’ll see a spike next year.
-
Good take. I believe it will be a balance of free agency acquisitions, probably on the O Line, and trades for a couple of solid WR. The draft will continue to cement our line, WR, and meet a couple of needs on defense as a CB, and it depends on whether we retain and they want to play one more year in Kyle and Lorax.

I’m satisfied with Barkley as a back up, but would be fine with a modest contract for TB as our back up and release Barkley. Anderson is on Concussion protocol as Sal and I discussed so he can be an extra coach on the field. He’ll be back to golf after tomorrow. im not in the camp that would put TB anywhere near our starter. He would be better in the sense that if there is a sustained injury to JA, I would take Bridgewater as safety valve. Nothing will probably happen as NO probably still wants to groom him for Brees eventual retirement.
