Great extension. He’s worth it.

There is a chance we extend him, and not that expensive. He’ll continue to improve

The Great Carnac (Johnny Carson reference) couldn’t figure that out. -
Von was not restructured. The team doesn’t have to inform a player they are converting salary to signing bonus to smooth out the cap hit. This was a si place agreed upon pay cut, and the team was right. Von isn’t stupid. He knows he didn’t do Jack last year. He also knows if he comes back to form he creates motivation for a pay increase in a year. I doubt that happens, but I’m so proud of Beane making the hard choices on contracts. We will get younger with 11 picks. My guess is we move up a couple times and settle in on 7-8 picks. As long as the 1st round is WR and eventually a D Lineman. I know we need a safety or two, and another mid round WR.

I couldn’t agree with you more Success. I’m so over the window BS argument. The Cheats window was as long as Brady was the QB there. We are in the window until Allen retires. He’s still young. We have another 19 years easy with Josh. With the way QB’s are protected, he’ll be fine. His last few years he’ll lose that mobility benefit, but hopefully he keeps growing as a passer. I hate using them as an example, but the Cheats kept reinventing themselves throughout Brady’s tenure. They went from heavy defense, to Brady throwing to Moss and WR company, to 2 TE sets with Gronk and the serial killer. We will get younger now that we purged a bunch. It was needed, but like many Morse was a surprise. I just hope we didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot on that one. Before anyone says it, Morse isn’t coming back on a revisited deal. He’s said his goodbyes. My guess is Beane tried to get him to take a paycut, and he may think he has more potential somewhere else.

Nicely said JG Wentworth. It’s almost annoying how simplistic posters try and make it when Beane has an incredibly complex position. These guys never cease to amaze me. What Polian did back in the day was phenomenal.

Anyone like me wanting Beane to hurry up? (Cap)
machine gun kelly replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Five days ago we were the most over the cap. Things change fluidly when you trade Bates away, cut Naheem, and so on. We’re still not even close to compliant and the due date is coming. We also need at least 7 mil for the rookie contracts and emergency $ for the year. -
Dion Dawkins Value - Extend or Trade?
machine gun kelly replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yesterday some knucklehead wants to trade for Milano, our best defensive player, and now a question is of the best O Lineman we have who btw is a multi-year pro bowler. There is no way we would trade Dawkins. Just because you’re thought on the other guy who is a backup is to dump the best we have or is this just because he jaws at times. So does half the league. Im from a time it’s wasn’t done, but things change. I’ve accepted it. -

Pete, it’s not doom and gloom. It’s widely reported we are the most over the cap team in the league. We’ll need to restructure, reduce, or release and prioritize current players. The good news is we have 10 picks. You may want to actually look it up before you rant about me providing objective facts. I still think we will be very competitive with what we can keep and what we can choose in the draft. I have faith in Beane and company. I also have faith in McD’s team being able to coach up players. That’s not doom and gloom. That’s pragmatism. -
After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?

To the OP, it’s a pipe dreams to think aere goi g to do ably t anything substantial in FA. The draft is how we’ll infuse cheap talent. We have the worst cap situation in the NFL. -

Breaking: Salary cap set at $255M
machine gun kelly replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wrote this 6 months ago the speculation was $256 mil, so off by 1. We’re goi g to be. Fine with a couple of restructures. 10 picks is a lot of cheap labor.
