  1. Bakin - I’m not going to turn this into an argument going back and forth, but I have lived more than half my life in Tampa. Longer than growing up in Buffalo and people on this s board know how passionate I am about the Bills, but my children grew up here, and we go to a Bucs game each year as they love it. I also spend a ton of money to fly all three of my children to see the Bills every year. Tha.t’s four airfares, what we spend while we’re there, organize this game have now upwards of 21 family members some from out of ttown as well, so please stop with the personal attack tha you can only like one team. I will never root for the Bucs over the Bills, but they play in different conferences and as I said in another thread that you just cannot drop, I always root for the Bills on their match ups and by some miracle if they both went to the SB, which will never happen, I would still passionately root for my Bills. Everyone who knows me down here knows I am a fanatic Bills fan, go to a Bills restaurant in my neighborhood even though I have the ticket so I can be around other transplants who also love the Bills, and have a Beef on Weck. I will not open this thread again as a personal attack is exactly what I can’t stand on this board. I can love my team of my home of origin and I can also like my current home team of 27 years. So that’s it. Have a good night and if you want to be more attacking send me a PM, and I’m happy to give you my Cel and name and we can discuss it. I dhave my best to never get personal to other posters, just agree to disagree, but you can’t seem to let this go. Good night, and mods I apologize to you as I think I’ve gained you’re respect for being respectful to others even when I disagree. Do not worry mods as I again will not open up this thread again to make a silly argument.
  2. Given his injury, you may get you’re wish. ACL tears aren’t the catastrophe they used to be, although serious. It feels like as 8 years ago this was a career killer, and now these guys are able to make it back in a year. Given his talent and past performance at a good college football team, being a red shirt for a year cheap, and then move on from Shady. His contract will be up and no dead cap in two years. Not a bad idea OP. Especially if we could get him with one of the 4ths. I’m hopeful we use the 3rds, 2nd, and 1st on the glaring needs on offense. Not that Lively is on this caliber, but Elliott, Chub, and Barkley have proven a game changing RB is still and always has been important. They can only be game changers though with a very good line and at least top 15 passing game with a great defense. I know I have my rose colored glasses on, but am hopeful this will be the case. Have a good weekend everyone.
  3. 3/12 - good to hear from you as I haven’t seen many of you’re posts lately. I know on you’re comments. It’s more of a black eye and embarrassment for the NFL as well as the Pats.
  4. It was all over NFLR this morning before the combine interviews, and no it’s not selfish as he had a four year making one million dollars more per year, and there is no way he’s making it another 4 years in the league. Tucker’s best guess who I respect is he loves playing and realized broadcasting wasn’t for him, and probably is back to get one more year, place some leadership in that locker room and be a solid red zone target. No matter if he has a lost a step, he still was able to get open at critical times. He also mentioned he probably wants coaching as a future which is rare for players as they are tired after a long career, his kids are still young, and position coaches work ungodly hours for maybe $500,000 / yr.
  5. I’m sure you meant Jim Schwartz, but god knows I make enough mistakes.
  6. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Dillards so positive about someone. He’s known to inspire controversy on ESPN, but in some way I feel like he speaks his mind and doesn’t care what people think of him. Allen has an entire off season, not having to get ready for the combine, and his Pro day, and just work on his craft. I remember his last interview he said something to the effect of I’m going to take a couple of weeks off, which he more than deserves, and then said he is going to commit to his training, mechanics, and being the best he can next year. That may be QB speak, but to me I believe him. Let’s just hope his off season personal coach is on the same page as Dorsey and Daboll. I heard on WGR, they were going to give their recommendations, and that is all you can ask for staying within the rules, and having a collaboration. And yes, is it September yet. At least we can look forward to what happens in free agency and the draft before the desert of May until August. I could care less what is reported about OTA’s.
  7. Funny Doc. I don’t think he’s going to have a happy ending on this mistake. Weo was right ( as much as I hate admit it - just kidding Weo), the NFL can’t take draft pics against the owner’s behavior. Too bad as this plays out, he’s giving a black eye to the league. i still think Irsay’s behavior although terrible as he could have hurt someone, at least he admitted he had a problem and went to rehab. The DA wouldn’t take on Kraft unless that video showed video and audio of him exchanging money for well you know.
  8. The OP must be somewhat younger as my rank order would be Saban #1, Knox #2, and Phillips #3. Yes, Saban was befor my time but he did put together a team that won two AFL Championships. Knox turned around this team from losers in the 70’s who never won once against the Dolphins for 10 years (sound familiar -Pats) until Knox. Then Ralph had to pull the cheap card and couldn’t take the ego of Knox who by the way turned before us the Rams to a great record. If Phillips wasn’t overridden by Wilson and placed Flutie on the bench for the Titans playoff game, and Rob Johnson who lost for the first two games of the season, and Flutie got us in the playoffs. I’m not saying he is Peyton Manning, with that #1 defense we could have gone deep, maybe even to the SB against the Rams. For those old enough, remember we had Bryce Paup, Marcellus Wiley, Chris Speilman, and big old Teddy Washington. That had to be our best defense in Bills history even better than the SB years, and had Wade’s stamp all over it. That man knows how to run a defense. The others, no way, not one of them.
  9. Jay don’t be a putz. Lots of posters are loyal to their team of origin, but when you live half of you’re life in Tampa starting with 5 days before the Bills Giants SB, you can have an AFC and an NFC team. They only play each other every four years and every eight in Tampa. I’ve worn my Bills jersey to every Tampa-Bills game and been to every one since 1991. If I remember the first t8me was in 93 and we won (Bills). The Bills will always trump the Bucs, but just like Ice Bowl who is a class act roots for our Bills when we don’t play Green Bay.
  10. I was talking to Vic last week on Press Pass, and asked him what he thought of Funchess, J Brown, and Montcreif. He was positive and all three would be possibles, but thought Tate would be too expensive and is 31. He expect as much as I want Paradis and Saffold, he thought they would be too rich for Beane’s taste. I disagree, as we would have a stud interior and take the best OT at 9. I also think we could take one of the two IOWA TE’s with the 2nd or use one of the 3rd’s and move up with the2nd to get the best in the draft. We’ll see, but to me it’s worth spending money on interior lineman and Tacklesin the draft are cheaper for the next four to five years.
  11. Well Irsay was suspended for 6-8 games (can’t remember) and fined $500,000. He will after this is drawn out in the media and the courts if damning evidence will get this and if even unknowingly was proven to be involved in a happy ending with a sex trafficking ring, will lose some picks. They can’t fire owners. Suspended means nothing, and he’s a billionaire so the only teeth they have is next year’s draft. That is the only thing that can hurt the Patriots.
  12. That is so you BB! I’d be afraid you’d maul Brady with that weapon. At least mame him. Always glad to hear from you.
  13. They could or give compensation and keep their draft picks. They do have 9 picks so if AB (I will never call him Mr. Big Chest - Ass) so b/ they are close and can afford him, they could do one or the other.
  14. My guess is the Colts. They have the most money, and calming force of Reich and Luck will be a good opposite for TY Hilton, and could possibly get them another ring. Luck is playing like a stud now, they like their O Line, running game, and their defense is vastly improved. They have a much better chance of beating the Pats than us next year.
  15. Only if he is a critic of the Asian massage parlors in the Bay Area and reports back to Mark Davis.
  16. Inigo, I tend to agree and one of my absolute favorite avatars. Most top running QB’s go for somewhere in the 500’s. He may beat it, but with a good line and better WR/TE’s, he can definitely get 3000 yards passing and maybe 600-700 yards rushing. We’ll know a bit more after FA and the Draft.
  17. Again, I thought this was hilarious, but surprised the mods didn’t say you’re title was misleading. I could care less as it was fun to read.
  18. Now that’s funny. We have billboard material forever on this board, and I’ll enjoy every quip. As far as the Redskins trade, that sounds promising as we can still get one of the top OT’s at 14, but would be a gameday trade. I say this b/c if they have two in mind like Jonah Williams or the kid from FL, then they would not pull the trade and take the Tackle. It all depends on Beane’s board and can they still get what they want at 14.
