  1. Sure because I’m sure you know if they sign before week 2, they can drop him anytime they want if it doesn’t workout. These kind of previous injury guys who were once accomplished will get snapped up between weeks 1 and 2.
  2. Wiseguy BTW- you’ll have to put up with me on the board for the next day and a 1/2 as this media hype is driving everyone crazy down here on the Hurricane so we’re all stuck in our homes until Thursday. I’m just hopeful we don’t lose power as that’s always fun. Tampa should miss the direct hit so we’ll just nailed with bands for 24 hours. So I guess I’ll get caught up with you lovely gentlemen and follow this sign new guys to ps, bla, bla. I really did laught with your first comment. It was so Simon.
  3. One more thing, sports media will implode Tuesday 9/12 when we beat Aaron “peyote” Rodgers back into another dark retreat as they won’t know what hit them. Josh will be Super Allen by the end of the game.
  4. 72, everytime you read this hot take nonsense, read like it’s you’re creed what success wrote. He said it perfectly. This is the most talented team JA has had to work with since 2018. We’re going to be fine.
  5. Correct. He HAS to make the 53 today, and then in two days can go on IR. People here state it s was reported he was placed on IR. Someone is not being clear. This isn’t to be argumentative, but my statements are factually accurate.
  6. Buddy. Your premise is only true if he is placed on IR in two days, but today is on the active roster. Sal must have explained this on the morning and extra point shows a dozen times. If they wait it’s as low as four weeks. If done now, it’s the year.
  7. It’s when you hurt your pinky drinking a Chardonnay in Northern CA by a famous college campus.
  8. This is unexpected if they kept him on the 53 until tomorrow, they could’ve in two days placed on IR and only out for four weeks. They may be moving on from him and are looking to add a depth or development guy on the PS.
  9. TY for setting up the ground rules on this thread to you and Simon.
  10. What are you terminator Doc? Oh and TDers, “Doc Will Be Back”.
  11. No worries brother. It’s always harder for guys in the inside to make a splash if they’re name is not Aaron Donald. Poona is a good penetrator and should be more durable than Jordan. Please don’t take that I don’t like Phillips. I do, but he’s no spring chkn and is likely to be hurt in 18 games.
  12. Colorado, I believe Poona’s making the team. He was solid not when Carrol went to a 3-4, but the year prior in the 4-3. He penetrates well. Besides what’s the over/under on how many games Phillips lasts. He’s great when he plays, but I just don’t know how long he’ll last so that begs other considerations. Once Von is back, some of Groot’s snaps may come inside. Shaq may be expendable. I trust McD. He knows what he wants.
  13. It was a forgone conclusion we would keep Shaq as a body while Von is on PUP, then he’s either PS or gone. We had one to trade. It was either Boogie or Epenesa. We weren’t going to keep both as we most likely keep 5 interior. So Beane has been working the angles for what he can get back for either and which one is he is easier to trade. I’m not surprised by the trade, but disappointed Beane couldn’t have gotten something higher or a player. It didn’t happen. Its not a great situation, but Basham did flash at times, had 4.5 sacks last year, and was ok for a 2nd.
  14. Some random thoughts can just be that and not put to electronic paper. Dawkins isn’t going anywhere.
  15. Respectfully my friend, I think you’re reading a little too much of the tea leaves into it. They just want to figure out who’s the starter and why for the jets based on what they think the jets will do. Each team Tre will always start, but they have different skills in Dane, to Benford to Elam. When McD needs an athletic gift with natural press man coverage he’s going to start Elam. When he needs which is more often zone he’ll probably toss up between Dane and Benford.
  16. Actually he has to be declared on the reserve pup tomorrow, and then he’s definitely out of commission for a minimum of four games including practice. So you’ll have your answer tomorrow. If not, he’s on the 53 and comes back whenever he’s ready. They’d only do that if he has a real shot in weeks 1-4.
  17. Alpha, you know I like you bud, but we have to have 4 good options at outside corner. We also need a backup slot which Rapp can somewhat fill as welll as backup Hyde and Poyer. we’re going to keep more, but I’d never move in from Benford, Elam, or Dane. There’s a good chance Benford starts week 1.
  18. Bit, but, but I thought were supposed to fire Beane, McDermott, Dorsey, all the position coaches, trainers, doctors and even the PR guys. Was I wrong? Friends on TBD said they could do it all better. (Insert sarcasm here) He didn’t get voted two years ago by his peers GM of the year by accident, and now on the other side the agents basically saying the same. Did you guys ever notice we secured Tre early and Ramsey went much higher. We secured Dawkins early, and then made the pro bowl multiple times, and other LT’s are almost twice as much. I can keep going. Milano at $11 mil/yr as a steal and a 1st team all pro. We aren’t in the drought anymore. It doesn’t help as I know many of you are frustrated we didn’t get to the SB, but so are 30 other teams every year. Thanks for sharing Logic.
  19. I wouldn’t read too much into it. There could be a number of restructuring reasons why he made the change. I have no idea the P&L’s of the Sabres. He could be moving to divest or it could be nothing.
  20. My wise sand da floor friend, Damar as you mentioned is a one off. Preseason doesn’t matter as the teams and league made their $ with tix and concessions. They are meaningless. I don’t see that happening in the regular season unless someone as at risk of loss of life.
  21. Biscuit, sorry maybe I was ambiguous. Work him out quietly, and if Allen goes down, we know he’s interested, and ark is fresh, so we activate him at that point. Not riding a bench. Sorry about that.
  22. Did you not hear the whatever named team this week a few weeks ago we’re not responding to Bienemy well and Rivera had to come to his defense. There were also rumblings of the same at the Chiefs. It may have been nothing, but Dorsey hasn’t even started year 2 yet. The above poster makes good comments on how Daboll used to draw a good deal of criticisms when he was our OC.
  23. A pragmatic approach to a backup is can they give you 50/50 or 2-2 in a 4 game stretch. I don’t think we have that on our roster. We had it with Keenum and Trubisky. If I’m Beane, I’d quietly get in touch with Rivers and Ryan and see if we needed them, would they be willing to come back for a couple of games. Covertly work then out, and keep as an insurance policy. SF was looking at Rivers for the SB if they made it past Philly. He doesn’t cost anything on the cap, but a gentleman agreement you’ll compensate handsomely if he’s needed. You’re also motivating him to stay in shape. There won’t be any real viable backups that shake loose tomorrow. At least I don’t think so.
  24. It’s basically 10 personnel and that can be countered with 8 back. We tried it against the Steelers two years ago and got torched by them as they had the up front pressure. There really is no magic bullet in terms of personnel formations.
