  1. Ferg’s, thanks for the laugh. A bull? I’ll say one which is this will go over like a fart in Church with all of the various animal rights groups. Oh, but A for effort and creativity.
  2. Sims comments were pretty obvious, but surprised he didn’t talk about a serious upgrade at TE in FA, and focus on the draft for this incredibly deep pool of WR’s coming out. I don’t like the everything Florio says, but remark on the draft first, then FA is interesting and made sense to me.
  3. Hapless, has he punched a horse yet? Love blazing saddles. Classic. Thx for sharing. As an aside, I think Feliciano was our best O Lineman pick up last year. I know it’s easy to say Morse, but for the $ he was a great deal.
  4. Agreed on Norman, but not the rest. Why pay more $ for a 30+ RB, instead of just draft one and if good you have you’re backfield for years. We’ve already gone down that road with Gore who flamed out with each month in 2019.
  5. Well, I don’t care about wives and girlfriends pics in bathing suits, but it is stupid they would make it on PFF. I agree it is a sin Tre didn’t make the list, but look at the bright side. If this even slightly annoys him, he’ll have bulletin board material for himself. As far as PFF, I just don’t go to their site ever as they seem to repeatedly make foolish statements about so many players and teams. The only way I even know anything on their site other than a long time ago reading it, I now only see what they post when you guys place in a thread. This was a good laugh, and really shows their colors.
  6. I don’t see him moving. He’ll want a two year deal, but Kraft will want the option to move on in one year. They probably would give more guaranteed $ to sweeten the deal, but want the overall contract to be less than the $35 mil others are getting in their prime. I understand the thoughts of possible teams, but he would only want to go if he received a nice deal, and a solid defense, O Line, and some weapons. Who meets that to me is TN. Great running game, some weapons, decent line, and a solid defense. Lastly, he and Vrabel have been reported to be good friends from their playing days together. The thing about Vrabel is he was under Belicheck as a player, he knows how they used Brady. For those who said retire, you’re right. My wild speculation and this is not because he’s beaten us for twenty years, that his play will diminish quickly this year even if he stays in NE.

  8. Hapless, you make a good point on LG for Ford, and like the idea of letting Spain test the market, and pay him solid back up $. I also think Nsekhe was good when he play3d, but we need depth at RT, as Nsekhe unfortunately had had a number of injuries.
  9. Well, there is the argument he was a rookie, but then again he would probably shine more at one fo the two guard positions. You do that, and Feliciano is staying so maybe they move into Spain’s spot. Not that is my interest, as I like Spain, but then as you’ve said RT is the question.
  10. Im sorry, I forget in the previous post Beane isn’t dumb and knows he’ll need breathing room for the next two years to cover White next year as he’ll demand probably $17-18 mil. Even if we save some cap and tag Allen after his rookie contract that does two things; first Allen we have then 5 years to evaluate if he’s our guy ( I think he could be ), and we have more a time to stockpile cash for these two. Just look at Winston in Tampa, and Mariotta in TN, and if Arians had any other options, he would cut Winston, and Marriotta already lost his starting job. My apologizes, as I’m not a rookie to this board and should have placed everything in one post. Sorry guys.
  11. I’m unclear on these choices. No on AB, D. Johnson ( love the guy and followed his career, but he has become injury prone and we can easily get a RB in the draft ), Dalton, and only Olsen if his requests are reasonable for his age. I would take a run at Hooper from ATL. The rest of our needs can be addressed in the draft, and you extend people we want to keep like Spain. Keeping an O Line together will only serve as a positive, as sometimes it takes a year for the line to work well as a unit. They have to be smart in their spending, extend the ones we want at that price, only get a targeted maybe two targets and drop the ones on our team like Kroft, Sweeney, and Smith. I seriously doubt we give extensions to Lawson and J. Phillips as they are not worth what they will be trying to get in the market. Now, if everyone passes on these two, and they are willing expect reasonable contracts, then sure extend them. J. Phillips will want more than 6 mil. ( his perspective worth from the Spotrac guys ).
  12. ADog, I don’t know about you, but I watched the SB with my sons and we kept remarking how off Mahomes was in that game. One of my sons stated Allen threw better than Mahomes tonight.
  13. Those projects have so much space, right near where the Buffalo News building sits. Good points on the spacing. Hotels, restaurants, pubs and so on. I would bet it would only be 65,000 seats like most stadiums these days. There is less wind downtown, and less snow. When I worked my college job at the News, I remember driving and right after the skyway, I can’t tell you how many times, I would over the Father Baker, and it would be a wall of snow. The Pegulas could build a bunch of these hotels and restaurants, etc. as another revenue stream.
  14. Zero, all good points, and I would add to a great post from you the MTC guys two years ago, for 6 years, and a seventh wildcard team would 95% of the time at least 8-8, and more likely 9-7. Drop two of the pre-season games, and if you need more time to evaluate during pre-season, you just get a competitive practice between two teams for several days, and a scrimmage. That should keep players, coaches and fans happy. Otherwise, I like you’re take, and not sure if they would do a second bye, but maybe and dress all 53, and if they have injuries you bring up practice squad guys or bring someone in off the streets. After week 1 they have no guaranteed contract.
  15. BB my powerlifting buddy, I’m just guessing they play him each pre-season to get as much game experience possible, and then do what you wrote in two years. If he hasn’t learned the NFL after three years, he never will.
  16. Just something to consider, Shad Khan is doing some heavy investments in Jax, and wouldn’t doubt they stay. My other take is if they get that 17th game, it’s likely they each team go there once 16 x 2= equals you know), or they may only get less than a full schedule, as the NFL will most like place a game or two in Berlin. Berlin had a higher attendance than London during NFLE. They may also place 1-2 games in Canada somewhere, and probably Mexico, or even 1 in Brazil. I don’t see China as it is too damn far. We adopted my daughter from China, and that trip was brutal to get to Hong Kong, and then you’re destination city to get you’re girl. It was worth it for Lauren, but three weeks in China is nuts.
  17. Ethan, I kind of like the Seattle layout as long as in our stadium, they do heat the seats as you mentioned. You kind of get the best of both outside and inside. AFL, I’m so sorry about you’re wife, and her brother. Sounds like a tough couple of years. Aruba is beautiful, and the Sunshine you get used to it like tHe one in Buffalo. If I remember correctly, it’s the Skyway right?
  18. Hey Jo, it doesn’t sound like you want Cooper, but just who he probably is referring to in FA. I’m sticking with two TE’s in free agency, and the other picks I mentioned in another thread in the draft.
  19. Shaq is probably going for a payday avg. in the teens, and PFF rates J Phillips by the Bills at $6 mil, and he’ll get at least more than that on the market. Just my two cents, but again, excellent thread and keep them coming. We need more guys bringing intelligent threads.
  20. Nice take AFL. It’s funny during the Dungy Gruden years prior to the real estate crash in 08 there was a sign on the wall saying 80,000 wait list for PSL’s, and a 10 year commitment. Between liking to watch Bills games over Bucs, but my theater room had three TV’s so I would watch both. The stadium is actually beautiful for when it was built, and was the model other teams copied for several years. Now there are no PSL’s, the stadium maybe avg. 50,000 on any given week, but only seats 65,000 roughly. I think you’d like it big guy. Lots of people fly down for the game for the obvious reasons they can go to the beach for a couple of days, the young women are very attractive. To look at, and people overall are pretty fit.cmon down next time, and I’ll show you a couple of awesome steakhouses.
  21. BB, I’m guessing he stays on the PS one more year, and in two years he may get a shot. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like him on some level.
  22. Hey Old Time, I don’t know exactly, but the Bucs games are more expensive as I go to both every year. The experience is so different, then again, there is really nothing like going to New Era. Parking is more expensive, the lots are not nearly as much fun, the concessions are more, but more diverse. The food outside of the stadiums is like a bunch of different kinds of food, and more economical, so when I take the boys, we typically between throwing the ball around, get some food and eat before we go into the stadium. Just like it’s miserably cold in the winter up there, it absolutely awful going to a September or first 1/2 of October. You have to put on so much sun block, and you never stop sweating. I gave it up after the last Bucs, AZ game with my middle son. For a number of reasons he’s followed them since the Pitt, AZ SB. Now we always pick a fun game in November or December. I highly recommend the next time the Bills are in Tampa. Most people will give you some ribbing wearing one of my Bills jerseys, but it’s mostly in good fun. I hope that helps a little. I think they play in Buffalo in two years so most likely not for 6 years, and yes, I always root for the Bills win and have done so since 1993. Any other team and I root for the Bucs as I have my first love in Buffalo, by second is Tampa.
  23. Junction, I called into Press Coverage on NFLR today, and suggested to Vic and Dan we pick up Olsen and Hooper in free agency, and my logic was they will make solid $, but wouldn’t break the bank and then draft two WR, an Edge Rusher, and a battering ram RB. I seriously doubt we pick the above mentioned in free agency as they will just be way too expensive. We most likely willlet Lawson and J Phillips go as they’ll test the market and get paid a lot more than we’re willing to spend. At least we should get back Harrison Phillips, and with these weapons I mentioned, we’ll hopefully be able to keep up with NE twice, Seattle, SF, and KC. AZ might even be better next year so we’ll need all the weapons we can get to compete with these tough teams.
  24. Well, it’s already expensive enough for me to fly up from Tampa with three kids, the boys always gos to the game, and if it is a substantial increase, I probably won’t come up as much. I’m sure I’ll want to go at least once a year, but not multiple times. Many of us have said, they’ll probably build downtown in the first ward area, and build a bunch of different amenities down there, and model after Indy’s stadium. I just hope the state can keep up with the infrastructure to get to and back from the stadium. We’ll find out in approximately three years or so.
  25. Rebound you make a good point, but I just can’t wrap. My arms around him being traded or released. If they tagged him twice, you’re right they would get any picks, but they may want his services for two years, and then just move on.
