  1. I do think we will win the AFCE, and maybe we play two tougher divisions, but so does the rest of the AFCE. Besides, the upside is we will be battle hardened. I think realistically we go 10-6 and won’t be intimidated by any playoff team. We, the Ravens, Titans, and KC will be ducking it out down the stretch in the playoffs. We beat the Titans last year, the Ravens played their worst game against us even though they won, and Frazier and McD were masterful how they contained the read option. We could have won that game. As far as the Patsies, I’ll contend the second game wasn’t fun, but that first game is one bad play that had us lose. Our defense had Brady throwing it away all day, and we penetrated on him. Now Brady is gone, and they didn’t have the $ to pick hardly any FA’s.
  2. WR, Edge, TE, RB in that order and they trade up twice. They’ll also take BPA for one more pick and that’s it. It’s a reach on TE, but maybe.
  3. I don’t disagree as Smith is annoying. I don’t remember as someone else pointed out the racist comments. As far as Faulk, he’s a douche. When the Steelers played the Cardinals in the SB in Tampa, I was asked to put together a little less than half the coaches at the NFL experience. It’s cool as the kids really enjoy it, and you run drills etc. with current and former players and a coach or two the days I was there. Well, Faulk came into to talk with Boys and Girls Club kids, and was the biggest prick to us coaches who thought we were volunteering our time. Later, we were paid and was pleasantly surprised. Anyway, I lost all respect for that guy that day.
  4. Inigo, I’m sorry about you’re dad and know how it feels as my mom died on my 40th birthday, but think it’s great you placed the Bills shirt on him. Agreed on wanting at least one although I want a couple over the next five years. Outside of maybe Cleveland, what city deserves it more? I don’t see many more FA, except for depth maybe, but if Beane can trade up more than once to get stars, we could really shine this year. The other thing as mentioned in another thread is we are set up for success with this quarantine. A lot of returning veterans and continuity of coaching allows them to come out fast. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I don’t see Cincy trading no matter what. They want Burrow and believe he will be their franchise QB. That’s just my speculation, unless only Burrow’s camp beats the drum on not playing for Cincy. I can see Miami moving up to #3 from #5 for whoever they think will be a stud. The upside is Miami has Fitz to cover until Tua is completely healed, but the downside as electric as Tua can be, he has that injury history, so maybe it is Herbert. We’ll find out in late April.
  6. Victory, thanks as with all this crap we’re dealing with in this nation, one nice part is the excitement for our beloved Bills! Once we finish the draft, and seriously hope Beane follows his track record and bundles picks and trades up a couple times, to get better talent (we hope). I would be so happy to get four maybe five studs at the most as we have spent our $ well, dealt a ton of needs already, and so having less additions, but higher quality talent is a good strategy if we can find trade partners. I’m all in on the Bills this year and finally feel like we have our next Polian building such talent and making shrewd decisions we are creating a sustainable team down the road. How fun would it be to be a playoff team the next five years, and have a Mgmt, coaching staff for a decade. To be a team where we are the ones talked about as a perpetual contender in the same voice as the Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, and so on.
  7. This thread is masochism. ?. The funny thing is I’m just as masochistic for scanning it. I know it was frustrating and we should have coached and executed better, but it’s over and I’m focused on looking forward, and “the future looks so bright, we all have to wear shades”. Funny, the yougins on this board have no idea of the reference. Dating my middle agedness.
  8. I appreciate the thread OP, but I wouldn’t do a QB this year when it’s almost assured whether anyone on the board or not will probably use if there is yearly progression a full five years with the extension to Allen to see if he is the guy. I’d rather bundle picks to get some studs, and end up with maybe 5 picks tops. Move up for a WR/EDGE/RB. I’m sure two other BPA, but I’d be so happy with studs at those three positions with actually WR and RB as top priorities, but we can can get a solid RB at a later third day pick. Keep adding weapons, and if we get another cheap Edge guy, for the next four years, awesome. I’d be surprised if we take any other top FA if there are any left, and rather save the $ for the upcoming contracts after one more year of cheap labor.
  9. How did this thread turn into a TP discussion??. Just kidding. CSon, nice start bud given you’re newness to posting. Very interesting post. Have a Good Friday everyone with those Newspapers.
  10. Absolutely. She’s a beautiful and incredibly bright woman. In Pegula we trust. Thank the lord for that family and everything they have done for the city, and not just the teams. In that sense we have another owner that gives back to this city. Mods, I was polite as possible regarding Mrs. Pegula. Slim Shady, thanks for giving us a heads up. Very good of you.
  11. It’s almost impossible to tell from Spotrac and all the variables with who we’ll pay like Dawkins, Milano, and White, or even extend like Hyde or someone else. Im confident we should be flush even after we extend those, but we get one step closer to a possible extension the following year or two for Allen, so we’ll have to hold some back. I wouldn’t worry about it, as Beane and company have been making very good financial decisions.
  12. Well as I read the article, and the one poster who mentioned all of this capital to get back in the 1st wasn’t reported so I don’t know how much Beane will give up. He won’t give everything away, but he’s been shrewd before in moving up, so we’ll see. I’d love to get him at the right price, and to get back in the first if available Beane will probably watch the board, and then if close target the most cash strapped teams as they’ll want volume. I know it sounds like blasphemy, but a possible target is the Patriots. With the $13.5 they have to pay for Brady against the cap, and they only have $2.3 million left in the cap and a lack of talent, so it is not crazy to get back to the Patriots. That is just one wild scenario, but who knows?
  13. We had our chance with Hooper, but we didn’t pull the trigger. The Syracuse article about the Baylor WR was interesting and maybe a better option now given the FA TE market is pretty much dead and the draft is light on TE’s.
  14. Inigo, I agree with McNasty in nice post as usual, but believe we really missed when even with these changes had the $ to get Hooper before Cleveland. Given their disarray, and our current ascension, if we even offered the same $, Hooper would have signed with us. It’s too early to pull the trigger on another QB, and I know you’re not saying that point. Agreed, Allen needs to take another step, and my guess is this regime will see out his contract before they get in the QB race again.
  15. Gostkowski is gone too. He may have slipped last year but between AV and Gost they’ve had kicking stability since 1996. Between that and stability displaced from Brady and our old friend, they are at an unstable time even with a relatively strong defense. I never count out BB and he usually has a plan, so we’ll see if they have slept back. God we all hope so.
  16. As of now, as far as I’ve read, he’ll cost around $11.5 mil. This year, and $12 mil. The next three years which is a steal for his quality. Even if he did take $70 mil. For five years, is $14 mil. Which again is lower than the top caliber WR in the league. This is the main reason Hopkins as they paid Watson, and Hopkins was going to want $18 mil. Per year. My guess is if, and is definitely an if Diggs lives up to a superstar, Beane will consider a restructure after next year.
  17. Edge is a good option, but so could be WR. RB will get chosen in the later rounds. We added quite a bit 6 of the 7 additions in FA on defense, and if they drop Murphy then maybe. Both Edge and WR cost a lot in FA as we have seen so using you’re 2nd and 3rd on these two positions make sense. I’m fine with adding some of those late picks to cash strapped teams to move in either of these rounds. We can keep one of the pics for a RB like the UCLA kid, or Dillon from Boston. With maybe 1-2 other picks you just choose the best player available and that’s that. Well still have a little $ for some UDFA or 2 for depth to at least add to our practice squad. Thats my two cents.
  18. Well until these last contracts are done, we have $27 mil. Approximately. Now that doesn’t count who we cut, so maybe more or less. If you think about the draft we need usually about $7 mil for the draft, if we bundle maybe a little less, and they usually want $5-7 mil. For an emergency fund, so without the last signings, we’re talking about $13-15 mil. I don’t see that but could be wrong enough to extend White, Dawkins, or Milano, but could be wrong as many have informed me before. ?. It might make sense to get a couple of role players at best or no one and draft. Then have something for next year so we can extend these guys. Cap space will go up as you guys know we’re going to cut a couple.
  19. I don’t see them giving all three 1sts as they have so many holes. I know they still have a around $35,000,000 and picked up a SS, and Lawson. I can see them adding a couple of role players. They probably will go after Tua if he does well in his physical in his hometown. When you have that many needs and three picks to grab serious talent, why not roll with Tua, and let him heal while Fitz holds down the fort in the beginning of the season whenever that starts. I can see them improving faster than the Jets. Gase is a cancer. As far as this Bleacher report article, it was also discussed on NFLR yesterday.
  20. It seems unlikely given no first rounder. Good job poster on the Jimmy Johnson pt. Differential.
  21. Most viruses die in the heat so no one really knows. The projections are all over the map. I know the Governor in FL is about to shut down all non essential businesses, meaning only grocery store, gas stations, and pharmacies will be open. I don’t think they can cancel doctors offices, but this will not only bad for us from a health standpoint, but I feel for those who don’t work, and won’t get paid. I’m Catholic, and they closed all masses and churches in this area.
  22. Shout song is good with me. Don’t mess with tradition since 1988.
  23. It’s still hard to predict the draft yet as Beane isn’t done as we’ve seen these last couple of days in FA. We still need more offensive power so the notion our top 3 picks left will be all defense with two CB’s and an Edge Rusher. We now have Butler, Addison, Jefferson, H. Phillips, Star, and Jerry assuming Murphy is cut. There are not a lot of quality Edge Rushers, but then again, not a lot of TE’s. Whether free agency or draft, it would be nice to replace at least one or two of our TE’s, and I assume with the depth we’ll draft a WR and RB. It will be a more balanced draft between offense and defense.
  24. Matthews is old and hurt and Gurley is hurt even more. We already signed three defensive linemen and we’ll probably cut Murphy and have Harrison Phillips coming back along with Star and Hughes. we’ll get a RB on the cheap in the mid rounds in the draft.
