  1. Chandler, thanks for sharing. Those were some real early memories for me primarily the mid to late 70’s. I do remember OJ’s 2003 season only in that my older brother and dad went nuts when the Juice hit the record. I was three, but funny that was one of my earliest memories. I remember, saying mom, why are they yelling so much. She as a mom always says, never mind Danny, eat you’re vegetables.
  2. Well, it’s a crap shoot as Hauscka has been 78.9% for the last two years, but from 2012-2017 he floated from the low to high 80’s%. Bottom line is he has slipped a bit, but he did have an injury in 2018. It’s true Bass was 71.4%, but his average is 79.8% for the three years. 2018 was over 90.5% in college. The other thing is House $ doesn’t seem to have the leg for the kickoffs as much anymore, and Bass has a leg that boom kicks. We probably won’t know until they come out of training camp. The only last piece Beane May consider is Bass is considerably cheaper than House. House is approximately $1.75 mil. and Bass is a few hundred thousand.
  3. Fitz will most likely win some games for them and Gailey knows Fitz strengths and challenges. He always at some point tries to push it too much to win and throws pics. The flip side is he tries so hard to win. The team is better with the free agency acquisitions and all of those draft pics, but they have like al of the AFCE a tougher schedule. I expect we see Fitz for 5-7 games and at some point they will flip to Tua. They are not making the playoffs so it will happen.
  4. If beta tested well as you previously stated Mango, it’s not a bad idea to use pre-draft. I’m not an expert so I’ll defer to the guys who stated their experiences have been lifelike in real time.
  5. Easy solution. Get Sirius, and listen to MTC in the afternoon, vs. those two buffoons. I haven’t listened to the WGR afternoon show in years. As far as OBD, I definitely would have preferred Sal and Brown, or alternating Sal and Tasker. I heard Tasker today, and not sexist, but just don’t get the appeal of Glab. She’s good for those fluff pieces on football trivia, but just not good as a host. Just to make a point on the feminist thing, if anyone has listened to Mary Kay Cabot who reports on Cleveland, she is excellent on interviews with NFLR. She knows, really knows what she is talking about with her team like Sal for us, or even Vic who hosts a weekend show on NFLR, and is dry, but quite good.
  6. I like the effort on the shirt. There is someone on this board who can do a graphic design where he’s in a Bills uni, and alligator arms Gilmore is laid out on the ground. As far as the other thing, I’m a little confused about his agents comment there is wiggle room for third rounders in compensation as with the CBA, I must be wrong, but isn’t it relatively straight forward. I assumed it was offset language as there is room for negotiations on that part. I guess it doesn’t matter with the suspension of live team activities, and from what I’ve read he’s been on the zoom calls, and he was in FL with Allen. All good signs. Not worried about it, but move on. Back to the point of the thread. Loving the shirt. Someone can make some coin if cleaned up a little.
  7. He’s averaged 5.33 sacks per year since he started in 2014. He hasn’t played all 16 games most seasons, and he’s just not worth even $13 mil.
  8. I’m sick of Clowney. Seattle, Cleveland and rumors TN all made offers and he is way overvaluing his worth. He’d be smart to just go back to Seattle and accept he is not getting an $18 mil. offer. Even if it is a short deal so he can increase his stock for next year. The crazy thing is if he’s not going to be a stud opposite Watt, he’s not going to do it all.
  9. BB, I like the optimism, but the Hawks always seems to put together a nice team, and if the Titans play like they did at the end of the season, that one is possible too. I think it was Marietta at the helm when they played us and they weren’t running the heck out of Henry in the early part of last year. I’m with you for sure on the Steelers and Raiders, although Big Ben is most likely back. They were a different team without him when we beat them. I still think we’ll beat them though.
  10. Hey John, I think the only at Murphy makes the team, if there are other players on the Edge get hurt. I doubt it on Griffin. We already brought in Jefferson, Addison, Butler, H. Phillips is coming back, and I know those aren’t all Edge guys, but Jefferson can do both. This isn’t even mentioning Epenesa.
  11. Beane’s strategy to use free agency for need, but not go after the big splash outside of Morse is a good tactic, and although factors in the draft, they also seem to pick up BPA in a handful of positions so they balance the two. This is a long term sustainable strategy, as well as extending those they value. It was a good move on from Lawson and Phillips as they weren’t worth what they were paid, and we picked up most likely upgrades on short contracts.
  12. Orlovsky isn’t a tool. One more reason I almost never watch ESPN. A little with NFLN, and my Achilles is I love NFLR at least some of the shows. I wouldn’t cry if Weiss would be fired, but the rest are decent.
  13. Letting Woods go was a dumb decision, but I still contend we cut Murphy, extend Dawkins and Milano as we would have $28 mil. In cap space, and a small amount more when they cut to the season numbers. White will cost to much and with his 5th year option is good for 2020 and 21 seasons. After 2020 we extend White, and we really don’t have to extend Allen if he continues to progress until after the 2022 year. We probably if we’ve made up our mind to extend will do it after 2021. Several older guys will retire or be lost, and we just need to keep drafting more solid players. My only concern on the cap situation is not with players directly, but that we’ll lose as a league $5 bio. That would have applied to the cap given the pandemic. It’s going to be a bigger problem than people are discussing at this point, which I guess I understand as we don’t know how bad it will be. If we have a vaccine after the 2020 season, then they can recover in 2021.
  14. Well in Tampa, they indicated a curfew for 7:30pm-6:00 am. Just what we need during this pandemic. I’ve never minded peaceful assembly at all, as if they have a permit, they have freedom to protest, but not break the law. Some of these poor shop owners had their stores close and lose $ due to the quarantine, now this. As for the Trump comments, he can make speeches, but the final decisions for curfews, and cracking down on unlawful assembly is in the local and state govts., not the President. The Feds have enough influence, but there is a reason on the separation between localities, and states rights vs. federal influence. Lastly, the person who used the N word, shame on you. Is you’re vocabulary so limited you can’t refer to the rioters to more generic words like criminals, etc. Derogatory remarks shows a limited intelligence and narrow minded view. I will not remark on any replies as it is not worth my time. For the record, what that police officer did was reprehensible so I am not condoning his behavior in any way. Choking someone for over 8 minutes is terrible, and most all police departments strictly forbid choke holds.
  15. Weo, I checked Spotrac and if I read correctly, he made $15, $3, and then averaging around $9 mil the last four years. I wouldn’t exactly call that low $ so spot on Weo.
  16. Good info. As always Yolo, but I can see one market increasing on that list in Tampa. If the Bucs have fans in the seats they will sell out at whatever capacity they have been allotted given the Brady thing on previously top passing offense in the league and that was with Winston. I know people hate Brady, but he will fill up as much as possible for every game. These numbers have to be among other things based on previous attendance, and that will dramatically change this year. Back when Dungy and Gruden, they had a wait list of 75,000 people for PSL’s, but since they have Been so bad for so long, the fans were sick of it.
  17. Just think about how expensive that weekend would be with tickets, airfare, hotel, and spending. That’s nuts. I’ve been to Vegas a number of times for management meetings, and since I’m not a gambler, outside of going to a couple of shows, I could care less about Vegas. I’d take a week in Lake Tahoe or someplace really fun.
  18. Whorlnut, nice take brother. I didn’t read or Hear anything about Mortensen, but I like him overall. He’s usually fair minded and does pretty good interviews on NFLR. I hope he brings this up again, and if I hear he’s on one of these shows, I’m going to call in to get whatever host and see if they’ll ask him about the point.
  19. KD, thanks for doing this research. I could do the avg. yards per game, but wasn’t sure of the 16 game players, did they have their yards front loaded and could any of them made it in 14 games, and then tailed off the last game or two. I tried really hard to find by week 14 how many yards actually did each of the six get to in the books, but I guess the avg. is good enough. Sucks he had to ruin such great football memories with atrocious behavior later in his life.
  20. I agree with the OP it’s a toss up between Andre and Thurmon. Maybe Fox was trying to not place two RB’s on there. I know OJ’s off field behavior is reprehensible, but he is the only RB in history who made it 2003 yards in 14 games. I tried to look up Dickerson and AP, but I could swear they didn’t get there by week 14.
  21. I seriously doubt the Buffalo charged her unless she was trying to get too close to the Bison. You don’t approach wild animals. That’s ######ed. I am glad she’s not hurt if she refused medical attention. If she was really hurt, they would have forced her to get in the ambulance. Not sure about a sign for the SB, but I’ll take it I guess to the OP. Oops, sorry mods.
  22. Doc, I hope you’re right. Adderall is a separate issue from having weapon and DUI. I want you to be right though. I really do.
  23. Well, it hasn’t been reported he was given an exception for Adderall, then that is moot, but if he didn’t he’ll get a minimum of four games, and if convicted on the other stuff, then he’ll probably be suspended at the end of the year or next year for three games.
  24. How many trades for other QB’s over the years on this board? Allen is our QB, period. If he flames out with this talent, we’ll draft another one or the QB coach will work on Fromm’s mechanics for two years and possibly give him a shot. I still think Allen will progress, and he couldn’t ask for more weapons and a solid line. The coaches are definitely going to give him the starting job for the next two years, and possibly three.
