  1. This poor guys can’t catch a break. I didn’t even know he’s had 7 injuries in the pros since his rookie year. 3 concussions, 2 foot injuries. a sprained MCL, and a wrist fracture. Now make that 8 with a liver laceration. If not too severe, he’ll be fine as you can actually donate small part of you’re liver to a family member of a match, but you don’t live without a liver. There’s no extra kidney. I really hope he’s ok as I liked him as others pointed out, and he played well for us. You can’t predict a lacerated liver. If ok, I would be more concerned for three concussions in around a year. Not good. If slightly perforated, he’ll be ok in time, but he’s out for the rest of camp and most likely the first couple of games.
  2. Josh, FWIW, you’re right. Not that Billl or anyone else is playing fantasy football here, but You made the right call we have far too many others to pay as Sal said this morning on WGR. He was astute and basically dismissed. He referenced the draft as you, the extensions for the usual suspects over the next two to three years, not to mention the additions and $ we committed for them. Even if we cut Murphy, we’re either on th hook for another $10 mil. and a 2nd rd. pick at a minimum, or a 1 yr. rental for a 2nd rd pick, and he won’t even want to do it anyway without a new contract. This is a bad idea on so many levels. Anyway, it won’t happen so not a big deal.
  3. Bill, I typically like you’re takes and have watched Smith for awhile and yes, I hope you’re right and we load up again with Smith as next year Brown and Beasley will be 31 and 32 respectively. I’ve heard good things about the young QB, and with the other 6’0” QB’s now making it in the NFL (Brees, Vick a bit about, and Mayfield), he might do well. The problem is as I’m myopic to the Bills even though I’m flooded with Roll Tide editorials and articles down here living in SEC country, that I see us using all top three round picks for the older current players in roster spots like DE, O Line, and so on. I’m with you though bud as he is darn good. I guess it just depends on how Davis and Hodgins ends up.
  4. Let’s just pull a Prince and come up with a cool symbol. The Stadium formerly known Ralph.
  5. Who was that one armed bearded man? Oh wrong thread, this isn’t the Def Leopard thread. Doh! Any way, I’m with Shady on the rinse repeat. Everyone knew Fitzy was going to start in week 1, but then it’s just week by week Tua watch. My $20 on red says week 5 or the first 4 pick game for the Fins. Why you say? They are going to get their butts handed to them in week 3 (Seahawks) and week 4 (49ers) so it’s either week 6 Broncos, or week 7 Chargers they go to Tua. From the Chargers in they have the Rams, Cardinals, Jets, Jets, Bengals, Chiefs, Patriots, Raiders, and Bills. The Fins if they are smart, and I do think this coach is smart they’ll want a soft landing for Tua to build up his confidence. He’d have challenges with Cardinals, Chiefs, and us, but easier games as well. I’m not buying the hype that BB can do anything, the Raiders are world beaters this year. If Tua finishes with a winning record for the games he plays, the organization gets to feel like they made a great call. Besides with all of the new pieces the Fins brought in with 6 draft picks in the first 70 picks, the $200 mil. They had 11 picks in the 2020 draft, and 11 in 2021. The crazy thing is they have 5 in the 2021 draft in the top 70 if they don’t move around. They spent on all of those free agents, it will take at least until week 7-8 before they start pulling together if at all. That’s why I wrote the other day, the Fins should be on the rise in 2021, or at the latest 2022. The AFCE rivalry will go back to the old days of Bills/Fins, and Allen vs. Tua, instead of my hero MGK and Dan, quick release Marino. This should be fun especially if together we crush the Pats and BB has to away in humiliation. We never have to worry about the dumpster fire in NJ, and not talking about the NJ Giants.
  6. 1Man, I had to look it up this morning as I always knew it as a Canadian Beer from growing up in Buffalo, but my all of 10 seconds search was it was founded in 1847 in Canada, amd internationally based out of Toronto. Labatts USA is made in Buffalo and is the largest Canadian based Beer in North America. Anyway, when I used to drink beer (kind of moved away from it not that I don’t have one on occasion), Labatts, OV, and you guys will hate this on Genny Light were my favorite beers. That is except St. Patrick’s Day and the SB and my Irish-American background gets me having an occasional pint of Guinness and Harps. Fake Irishmen drink Black and Tans. Real Irishmen drink Half and Half. Why, because you don’t ruin a great Irish beer with a British beer. One of my great uncles from Ireland born and raised explained OT to me when I was a boy. Ok, I digress. That’s awesome they are doing it, and hope more Bills stars get deals with companies like Mighty Taco, etc. The biggest sin is the only way for me to get a Mighty is I have buy a 12 pack, and have it shipped for three times as much through MT. The sad thing is one of the original owners retired in my development in Tampa. I busted his chops why he hasn’t expanded down here.
  7. I understand the point Lime, and you were probably kidding. If not, Foster won’t make a Bucs roster. They have too much talent in Godwin, Evans, the TE’s, Miller, Hurst, Johnson, Franklin, Grayson, Mickens, Watson, Pearson, and Mitchell. A bunch of these guys will get cut, as down here they are already reporting the will rely heavily 12 and 13 personnel. In 12 they’ll most likely use Gronk, Brate, Evans, Godwin, and one of the RB’s. Those other names are going to have to be excellent ST’ers, and many are good. Early word down here is Miller is having a good beginning of camp. Given Fosters drop, I doubt the Bucs would even consider working him out. I have nothing against Foster so maybe a shot at a bad team like Washington or Cincy. Maybe he turns it around on another team.
  8. I really don’t care, but it doesn’t seem like there will be enough to report each day. How much access will there really be to open a new thread each day, but again I could care less as long as we get an arm update (sorry just playing along).
  9. Tampa does have. One Bucs Place next to the stadium where there are multiple fields so it can be done, but there is not two monster hotels where they can walk in a tunnel or something right near there. They are going to have to bus them in from hotels down the block. I can see self contained bubbles for the cities of the teams playing at their home. They could sequester the players in a self contained hotel Minimizing outside contact if the NFLPA agrees to it. The season of experience knowing what works and what doesn’t will dictate what they will do.
  10. Doc, my friend, easy answer. Because they are the dumpster fire J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets.
  11. Ngakoue is a thorn, and wants $20 mil. He is absolutely not worth it. Besides the $, and oh by the way we know the cap will crash to $175 mil. as it’s inevitable from an expectations before this pandemic of contracts, and think $210 mil., that we purged these nuts contracts. Even Diggs, was a steal, not in terms of draft picks, but most guys like him are making $16-18 mil. Even with his converted $, it was not more $, just mov3 forward which was smart. This administration is making very shrewd decisions, and not fantasy football stuff. We need draft picks at a premium As it’s cheap labor in a tough year and foolish to give them away and spend a ton. That’s what put us in the 17 year drought.
  12. Timmy, I’ve never been to a massage parlor either as the connotation is just that. I’ve been to a spa many times and when married we would on vacation do couples massages, etc. As an aging athlete, I’ve also had many massages by a reputable licensed massage therapist. Most people at a minimum go down to their underwear and women yes, take off their bra while laying on their stomach. The majority of people actually take off everything, but there is absolutely nothing sexual about it. Hence the difference between a massage parlor and a spa. I know 100 years ago when deadlifting 620 lbs., the masseuse would massage you’re upper thighs, even to you’re gluten, but there again is no inappropriate touching. When I think of a massage parlo, I think of these questionable crappy places here in Tampa, where I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but let’s just say, you couldn’t catch me caught dead in one of those places. There were a bunch of asian ones about a decade ago down here that were raided and they were sex trafficking rings, and all illegals and from what was reported on the news, a lot more then a deep tissue back massage was going on. I should add as Weo stated, there is always a towel covering personal areas of course.
  13. Schein has been hot on the Bills for awhile. Some don’t like his dramatic takes, but he’s always been fun to listen to on Sirius. I used to call in when he was on NFLR, but since Schein on sports, I typically just check in and then watch him on the cable shows. He’s also been cautiously optimistic on the offense thinking our new talent could take us far. Nice to have a couple analysts as fans.
  14. McCoy was a helluva player. He went through lean years like Kyle on another bad team in the past in the Bucs. Not sure why a person or two think he’s a bad guy as he’s not. I’ve listened or watched over 100 interviews of him, and he was a pillar of the community in Tampa. People loved him down here. Im really sorry for him, amd thankfully as a couple posted, no news is good news for the Bills.
  15. Understood my friend and you may be exactly right. We may disagree from time to time, but I always respect you’re points as you disagree. You’re not disrespectful. I like that about anyone who posts. It’s civil.
  16. This has been fun to read and all very interesting. A lot of what is wished to happen vs. what probably will happen. So I’ll play along: Bills Moss, Singletary, Allen, and Yeldon Go for well over 2,000 yards, we’ll over. Allen throws for 3500 yards. Poyer and Tre tie for 6 picks each. Epenesa late in the year has 5 sacks. NFL The Bucs, Saints, and Seahawks, 49ers, Vikings, Cowboys, and Cardinals all Make the playoffs in the NFC. The Bills, Colts, KC, Ravens, Steelers, Broncos, and Dolphins make the playoffs. Lamar steps back in some part to McD figuring out how to defense against him. Cam is benched by the end of the year. Rivers has a reclamation year and leads the Colts to the South with the best O Line he’s ever had since entering the league. This one is a wish. BB is so humiliated with a 5-11 season, he gives it one more year, makes 7-9 and walks away after 2021. Maybe a GM, but hands over the coaching to his OC so he has someone else to blame the creep.
  17. Fair points GB. You’re a learned guy so you know after year 3 they have to make the call by !arch like they did this year on Tre whether they decide to use the 5th option on him. Now they don’t have to do it, but they have to use it after this year. If he progresses this year, I’m guessing they do. As far as another poster mentioned on the gigantic contracts for Dak, Watson, Mahomes, they haven’t yet on Dak or Watson. Mahomes is $5 mil. this year, and $25 mil. in 2021. Kirwan on MTC broke it down well and proven on Spotrac Mahomes gave an incredibly team friendly deal which is why they were able to extend Kielce, Clark, Watson, and Jones. He’ll retire incredibly wealthy, but they did a team friendly deal. He won’t even eclipse current Russell Wilson $ until year 8. In 5 years its estimated he will be the 13th highest paid QB, based on the last 5 years. Not the point. I just think after this year we will place the option on him, see how the 4th year goes and possibly the 5th year, before we give him that big contract or we move on after year 4. These guys in charge of the Bills are not making rash decisions like previous Bills organizations. They are taking a long view. Im all for if Allen just sucks with all of this talent and is 53%, move on. Suck it up, bundle picks and do whatever it takes and get a new QB, but I don’t take that pessimistic view.
  18. KD, that is exactly my opinion. It’s win now or bust fans which was the failing team philosophy for 17 years. He has a minimum of four years, and even with modest improvement this year and the next, will get a 5th year option. By the end of year 5 and he has back to back 65% completions and other parameters, we’ll know if the wallet opens and he gets a reasonable payday. This team administration, coaching and ownership has a much measured approach than many fans. My dad, god bless him is painful watching a game with as he wants half the team fined or fired by the end of every game. He was a top athlete a good portion of his life and in the HOF for baseball and softball in NYS, but he has no patience.
  19. Thanks Vinny. We definitely need an upgrade at punter. Not saying Cory was awful, but this team can do better.
  20. I was rooting for Foster last year, but someone on here mentioned McCoy had a positive impact on him in 2018, and when He left, Foster reverted. I’ve given up on him, McKenzie, and Duke for anything, but the PS. I say that because the positives so far in Davis and Hodgins and they are cheap labor is great for the 53. I don’t know how much the first three are enticing to other teams if on the PS. There is an argument to keep them there as they know our system.
  21. Not sure if you guys were listening to Sal’s piece on the morning show, but a couple of cool points from yesterday. He said Diggs burned Norman on one play and his footwork was awesome. He also said Davis and Hodgins looked faster than he expected given their size. He stated Davis as many expected looked very crisp in his routes. I heard a couple of good things from Dane Jackson. I really liked the initial news. Sal does a nice job in his 7 am spot with the morning guys going through practices or at least what he is allowed to see. Not to beat the dead horse from the other thread, but he spoke to the zoom call on Horrible Harry and how moving he was on that call. How much he absolutely loves football and killed him to not be practicing with the team. He shared how Harry admitted at one point he called one of the trainers despondent wondering if he will ever play ball again. That was in January. FWIW, Sal said he won over the press last year as he made himself so available to the media, volunteered for various causes, and thought he looked good yesterday. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m rooting for him to make a comeback. A guy who just loves football, not for just a paycheck, but loves the game. Sal stated that is exactly the kind of player McBeane wants on this team.
  22. As always, you make good points Biscuit. What could help is if the CFL were willing to adopt NFL rules and size of field, hash tags, etc. you’re right though they could easily be a great feeder league, and in a way if they are not overlapping at all with the NFL season, maybe the NFL could help support in a small way to the CFL. The other thing is the CFL could use as a marketing tactic to UDFA who don’t make the PS for NFL teams and get exposure to NFL scouts. I know you were just trying to make a point with the knucklehead who it looks didn’t even read the article on obesity. I don’t understand if you’re not even going to take the time to scan an article for a guy who took the time to look up, post, then don’t comment. I always thought if you or anyone is going to take the time to attach an article, I need to make the time to at least look at it before I say anything. Have a good Biscuit. Glad I went to the gym this morning. ?
  23. I don’t understand the rally cry to change something not broken. The Bills are being run very well. This isn’t a Sabres board so points on changes to the Sabres I’m sure is welcome there. Even though I have a family member working for them and this person says nothing but positive things about Kim, changes there does not mean changes to the Bills. Since Kim has more direct responsibility for say to day business operations as marketing, sales, operations, etc., why change a problem that is not there. Teams like Atlanta have a President, McKay, Dimitroff as GM, and so on as there jobs are different. Why pile more responsibility onto Beane when his job is hard enough, amd is doing a great job.
