  1. I’m sorry for this guy. It’s heartbreaking to keep trying at something, and keep getting hurt. As far as the PED comment, I never read anything about him getting suspended for PED’s so if just a guess, ok. PED’s can encourage injuries, but I don’t want to accuse someone of something if they didn’t do it. I’ve seen a lot of injuries over the years of guys on PED’s blowing out shoulders, knees, etc.
  2. I’d be happy to see Jackson make the 53. I didn’t mention Murphy as I don’t see it as a surprise, but is a good decision financially if one of the others is good. My only contention with increasing to 7 WR’s when we normally have 6 is what position group on offense is shrunk to one less. O Line, TE? I’m not being a wiseguy, just know if you add in one area, you have to take it from somewhere else. By looking at a 53 man squad, you have to have a dedicated LS, K, P so that leave 25 on each side, but who can be both ST and in a position group. I’m not against 7 WR’s as long as we know where we pull it from. Mckenzie is a gadget guy, and I guess a back up returner.
  3. It’s unpopular, but I don’t see a lot of surprises this year in who is retained and who is not. I can see Dane Jackson making the PS, but I don’t see that as a surprise.
  4. I haven’t wanted him since the beginning. The one thing saving him is renegotiating his contract to be more friendly to us. He’ll be gone after 2020. Our mistake was not being more aggressive after Hooper. If we offered the same as Cleveland, he would have come here.
  5. Wow, another article Josh Allen needs to be better. I’ve never heard that from a sports analyst before (analyst is too kind).
  6. This is silly. He’s lazy, fat, underperforming, and was jettisoned from a dumpster fire team. We already have talent at the position. It was a bad pick when we could’ve had, Julio Jones, Patrick Peterson, AJ Green, or Watt. One more example of the countless mistakes we’ve made over a couple of decades.
  7. Doc, you’re right on it. The Bucs only have $1.5 mil. in cap space, but if they can find the $, that is their weakness. They are very strong in most position groups outside of the rush and on defense the secondary. The difference is the secondary is incredibly young, so they should grow especially with the Winfield son. Fournette would be a big add for the Bucs. We’ll see if BA bites.
  8. Diggs Brown Beasely Roberts Davis Hodgins PS McKenzie Moving on.
  9. Dc, don’t worry. It’s coming. I’m betting Pittsburgh as Conner is good, but he is often hurt. Some said Philly, but those haven’t obviously seen their cap situation. They are screwed. NE already has a stable of RB’s. Easiest way to look at it is the balance of needing a banger, coupled with cap space, and he most likely won’t be expensive up front.
  10. HD, I may have misunderstood you’re post, so are you saying we finish 9-7? Reading by game it looks like 11-5. I agree with a prediction of 10-6 to 11-5.
  11. Even though they have to get PS guys for each position group including the specialists, it would make sense they keep a little extra in the positions commonly injured like lineman, and RB’s.
  12. 63.2974682% to Motor, and the rest to Moss. By mid season, 54.849237% to Singletary. ??️‍♂️?. Ok, all kidding aside, Moss’s carries will grow after he gains the trust of the coaches. They won’t trust him to go halfway in the beginning if the season as they didn’t give the ball to Singletary in the beginning of last year. Surprisingly, they both can catch, and although neither has straight away top speed, they both have demonstrated explosiveness, and for his size, Moss can make guys miss. He’s not just a straight ahead power back. Regardless of the % as how do you actually make that prediction, they both will be fun to watch.
  13. Duke to PS. Next topic and they historically have kept 6, not 7 WR’s.
  14. Well said Billieving. We win on both points, annnd we didn’t have the $ smartly to add him with all of these additions. We’ll draft cheap labor the next two years. Would it surprise you if we picked a DE with a 1st in 2021 or 2022? Then we have by then Epenesa, and a fresh legs top tier guy, replacing the aging but still good DE’s. With the DT’s we have young guys in Oliver, and H. Phillips. As always with Mr. Miyagi, Beane, we have made sound decisions for today and tomorrow.
  15. Go, I’m with you in that until they prove they are a high scoring offense even though they definitely have more than enough talent and a line, they have to prove it. It’s what everyone is saying who isn’t a bills fan. I loved the narrative GB. You never disappoint each year. I was wondering when this would come out. August 30th has to be late for you.
  16. Step, I’m sorry bud for you’re loss. I really am. It’s hard to be walking the earth knowing you’re mom is somewhere else now. FWIW, after awhile, you forget the hard stuff and remember the funny stories, and maybe the silly jokes or whatever.
  17. Well isn’t that pic precious. Lovin it Seasons. I’m only halfway through the thread, but conservatively say 10-6, and aggressively 11-5. Why? Because another poster is right, we have one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL, but that changes as games are played. You can’t discount KC, SF, Seattle, and TN almost went to the SB. No one wants to take them seriously, but they were crushing it when they switched to Tannehill. Not because he is a world beater before people shoot this down, but he managed the game, most teams didn’t have an answer for Henry, and a really strong defense. Hence going 9-7, but beating NE in NE, and Baltimore in Baltimore. They lost to KC when KC poured it on, but they were competitive in the beginning of the game. TN rode the Henry bus, but after over 1500 yards in the regular season and two road playoff wins, he was tired in the KC game. That game will be tough. We’re going to lose 1 or 2 games we expect to win and the above teams we should beat some of them. Good news is we will be so battle hardened at let’s say 11-5 and winning the East, we will be completely ready for the Chiefs, Ravens, guessing the Colts, and whoever wins the WC spots. I’m with you eball. I hope with all my heart I’m wrong, and you’re right. I mean that. 12-4 would be freakin awesome, but knowing you one area we agree is who cares the record, if we go deep, hopefully very deep in the playoffs we’ll all be happy. Go Bills!
  18. Stampede, the only reason I didn’t bring up Murphy is it’s already been talked about so much, but I was thinking the exact same thing. I don’t know much about Cox in this camp, but if Johnson is close to Murphy, he’s gone. Any thought of a cap problem goes away and may even encourage Beane to do the same thing with Milano as Dawkins as they get to lump in this cheap rookie year with a fair market contract. That becomes possible if we decide Murphy isn’t that much better than Johnson. I trust Beane, but I would have peace of mind if we finished it now, take advantage of spreading things out over five years. I expect and will be very happy if this and a Beane extension happens now. Considering McD’s extension, it is absolutely amazing to think the coaching GM tandem would be over our Bills for eight years. We can hope and pray after several deep playoff runs, they do another extension for these guys in 2024, so we now keep the security of a team like the Steelers up to 14 years and growing. This kind of continuity bodes well for success. Just look at the Steelers history over the last 50 years.
  19. Vernon Butler 331 lbs. Harrison Phillips. 307lbs. Quinten Jefferson. 291 lbs. Ed Oliver. 287 lbs. Star Lotulelei 315 lbs. Jordan Phillips. 340 lbs. That took all of three minutes on google LB48. The projected current four are no shrinking violets, and as Chandler said, probably to start a thread on these four and what are their strengths or in you’re case weaknesses. I haven’t read anything on training camp the DT’s doing a terrible job handling the run. It doesn’t bother me LB, but it’s kind of like Tyson would best Ali both in their prime. It’s a non starter as there is no way to know. Just remember in today’s football, it’s not all about weight that wins the battle. What we do have is four guys with high motors and have a track record or are growing into excellent interior penetration abilities.
  20. Thanks for sharing the article Virg, and using the $175 mil. model, there are only around 6-7 teams that can roll over their space to potentially cover the drop given if they don’t have ballooning contracts coming up in 21. Yolo’s right, the cap is a moving target, and Mark Gaughen was on point that Hauschka was not just a talent decision, but a cost cutting one. Don’t be surprised if no one picks him up, we bring him back to the PS at the league minimum. There are so many variable, it is very difficult to make predictions. For example, because Star opted out, even if we cut him next year, we still owe him for this years compensation minus the $350k. It’s also why fans that say, oh well, Clowney is now going to the Pats. The Pats May be towards the top in cap space, but they have to pay next year on a shrunken cap all of those opt out s they keep or their salaries this year. Talking about the cap is like going to Fat Tuesday’s, drinking too fast one of those daiquiris, and getting a brain freeze.
  21. As someone else mentioned, I’ll take you at you’re word you simply wanted opinions on the two and had nothing to do with the tragedy Fitz is facing right now as that would be crude, so benefit of the doubt. On the question of the two, people do like Fitz’s gunslinger mentality, but when he would lose us games from his poor judgement and throwing the ball to the competition, it was maddening. You may be confusing the notion people love him as a person. What’s not to love. He’s funny with fans and media, donates his time, is a loving husband and father by all accounts, and he loved Buffalo. He still speaks fondly of Buffalo in interviews he had in NY and Miami. Tyrod made us competitive again, but was so afraid to throw a pick. One other person said both of these guys are excellent back ups. They are and probably two of the top 3 in the league, but they are just back ups. I’d want either as our back up, but never as the starter. Fitz is only starting so Tua can develop and he knows it. Tyrod might make it he whole year as Justin Herbert is pretty raw. Now if the Chargers are completely knocked out of playoff contention, then I can see Herbert going in to just get game reps. The last point is we are now up to three wildcard slots for each conference which means team will still think they have a ***** later in the year.
  22. 88, Brownie confiscated it. I think it’s in Manish’s burner phone as those guys are friends. ?
  23. Augie, you’re wife is right, and Im sure knowing you As I do, you take it in stride. My mom passed on my 40th Birthday. I couldn’t celebrate my birthday for a few years, and would always break up around Christmas in church when they would play her favorite songs. Sounds like you’re married to a smart woman. Im so sorry for Fitz, his wife and kids As it’s not easy to move past. Thanks for those that shared as I heard on NFLR an hour ago. Very kind words from Vic as he does the Saturday show.
  24. RKA, it’s ok, Beane and McD paid off Flutie under the table to get his Greg Brady tiki and dig it up from the 50 yard line in 2017. We’re good now. Flutie asked if he could back up Taylor, and McD said don’t push it or I’ll go MMA on you.
