  1. The game hasn’t even started and Winston threw two pics in early early warmups. As much as I don’t like the Jets, then again all of our divisional rivals, I truly hope Darnold can rehab his career. I still contend he’d fit perfect in a system with a good team with a QB getting closer to the end. I’d love to see him in Pittsburgh. A great team, solid defense and weapons, and Big Ben will only last so long with the hits he’s received. Darnold could get his bad habits fixed in time, and possibly take over at one point. New Orleans is a good team, but I can’t see Brees making it another year. The other downside is NO is over the cap next year to approximately $81 mil.
  2. Hap, as always you nailed it. Bob, we might see a natural improvement with the team, because for the first time all year we might have the right combination on the line. I think they held out Mitch because of the concussions, just didn’t say it. With Dawkins, Ford, Morse, Feliciano, and Williams, we should have the right combination to open seams for Moss or Singletary. Those two have been consistently hit behind the LOS. Barry Sanders wouldn’t get a lot if yards when that happens. Much too much is made out if their lack of speed. Singletary was fine with speed last year. If we as a team fix the run game the next two games, we are a complete offense. I also see all of these CB’s getting healthy and off Covid restrictions to make a nice run on the defense.
  3. There is going to be a youth movement on the team next Year. Defensive line, and so on. We can’t spend a ton of $ on free agency given the Covid cap thing, so our draft will be eaten up with defensive lineman, cornerback, tight end etc. it’s the smart move and hopefully Epenesa responds with a good finish this year.
  4. As always, way to cut to it 3/12. He’s a steal in the 7th round. We don’t need any other retreads. After the bye, with the guys getting healthy and the others off the reserve Covid list, we’re fine. In two weeks, I hope Feliciano’s pectoral is healthy enough, he feels comfortable back at RG, so we get Morse back at center. We’ve not had Sawkins, Ford, Morse, Feliciano, and Williams all together for any significant play, and I believe would result in a solid push for the run game. These next two games can be the opportunity to get our run game in a rhythm.
  5. My interpretation is they want him down the stretch and I believe since college and high school, he’s had 8 concussions. An extra couple of weeks could mean a healthier center down the road.
  6. Sage, thanks bud. I wouldn’t get wrapped around the axle. At worst, we should be 4-2, but opposing teams now have tape on Tua. It will get harder on him throughout the year, and they Still have the Chiefs. When I think about all the scenarios, this comes to mind.
  7. Well, after 10 games, that’s a good sample size, he’s on pace for 4600 yards, 34 TD’s to 11 Int’s, and a 68% completion %. I’d say that’s pretty impressive in year 3. I was cautiously optimistic before the season, and he has more than exceeded expectations. I was so happy when he said after the donations, he wanted to be a Bill for life. I believe him. It’s funny if he marries his girl in Buffalo, they could end up like the Kelly’s or Thomas’s and stay after their football career. Anyway, I’m not deterred at all because of the loss on Sunday. He played well and we just lost on a fluke play in the last seconds of the game. It’s not like we were blown out. In three weeks, I can easily see us 9-3, heading into the Steelers game. This sounds silly, but I’d rather lose in a hiccup to the Broncos, as long as we win in Pittsburgh. You know even if the Ravens beat the Steelers and it ends up they are 11-1, and we are 9-3, every analyst on the planet will take the Steelers. I’m not fearful of them, just excited for the challenge. We have the offense to do it. As slow as Bug Ben has looked with his knee, I’m hopeful we blitz all day that game, especially safety blitzes. They seem to work well in the right scenario.
  8. It’s pretty cool he made the record of three 50+ in one quarter. Those were tough kicks.
  9. Exactly, and they still have to face the Chiefs. Besides, you want to have a team or even two in the division to push you. Look at the rivalry between the Ravens and Steelers.
  10. To the OP, thank you for sharing these sentiments. I’m going to bring it up on NFLR radio as what classy fans are the Cards. If nothing else, it should bring some attention to this great cause and these great fans. If anyone has the total in the morning, throw it on here as I’ll check before I call and credit them as well. At least something nice one of us can do. Maybe other fans will follow suit.
  11. Victory. I feel the same. I think they can hand with Tampa or New Orleans for the big dance. It actually would make me happy if our three losses are to the two AFCC rivals last year, and the incoming SB contender.
  12. First, I thought fans around the league once they heard what we have done for Patricia’s memory and for Dalton would contribute to a good cause. The nice thing is $17 is not to most people a big thing, and if someone is on tough times, no worries. As far Fitzy, he rented a house in my neighborhood for the Cards/Steelers SB here in Tampa. He was so classy and us dads tried to get our kids to leave him in peace that week. We asked him once if he wouldn’t mind not even autographs but maybe a pic or two for the kids that loved him. We promised no more than 3 minutes if his time. He was wonderful and we shooed our kids off as he spent $5k to be left in peace in a gated neighborhood where no one, but us knew as the family that rented their house out told us. I can’t remember meeting another football Star as classy as him.
  13. The refs didn’t lose the game. One play on a Hail Mary didn’t lose the game. We lost the game. I’m over it as been over 24 hours so moving on.
  14. I’d say definitely the Sentinels. I hated Keanna Reeves anyway. Go away Shane. You’re cheerleader girlfriend is hot though.
  15. But what would Jersey do? You’re funny. All kidding aside, we don’t need to lose any team. Think about our 17 year drought, and other cities probably saying the same thing about us. It’s hard for the ideas on Atlanta, etc. as they are college area. It’s why Birmingham could easily manage a team and probably field sold out games, but they live by Roll Tide, and Tigers. It’s a great area and never seen fans more passionate except us on their teams. They are nuts fir their teams.
  16. Once we gave up on Hooper which would have been a good idea, we basically made the call we were waiting for the draft. Good news is the TE class is solid so we’ll see. During the off season there will be tons of people talking about a 1000 different needs, but I agree we draft someone.
  17. Success, Howard and Jeremy just made a very good point as listening now. If we beat the Pats, the Fins would have to have more wins than us. If we are both 11-5, and even if the Fins beat us in week 17, we still win the division. Why, because we are 5-1 if we lose to the Fins, and the Fins already have two losses. For me, I can see us getting healthy over the next two weeks and the week after we should get Milano back healthy. 5-1 is not insurmountable. I can see a Steelers win, but do we really think the Chargers, 49ers, Broncos, Pats are losses. No. So if we finish 11-5 and win the Division, and then we can win with any of the possible wildcard teams. After, we’ll see. Of the potential division winners, the Steelers and Chiefs would concern Mae, but not the Colts. We can beat those guys. As I said on another thread, turn that frown upside down, we are 7-3 and 4-0 in the division so far.
  18. Reich, no it’s not. We are 7-3, and the Fins are 6-3. They need to win this week to tie it up. We also have the Chargers and the beaten up 49ers the two weeks after the bye. For the Niners, we should have Milano back. The sky isn’t falling. We just suffered a tough nail biting loss to the best division in the NFL and the best team in that division currently. We were winning that game most of the game, and were winning again until the very last second of the game. Everyone hates losing, but it’s not like how the Bengals just we’re crushed by the Steelers yesterday or for that matter the panthers in their division to the Bucs. The Bucs came off a horrible loss to the Saints, and crushed the Panthers. In two weeks, we could end up crushing the next two opponents. Turn that frown upside down mister.
  19. I couldn’t agree more GB. There are people here when we win try and find things wrong with the team, and then can’t wait for when we lose and dissect every ridiculous inconsequential aspect when it’s ver simple. The defenders didn’t make the play. The interceptions are not the coaches fault. Missed plays on defense aren’t the coaches fault.
  20. Virg, don’t let the trolls bother you. That is their goal to do anything to be a pain on the bills and their fans. We love you’re recap as well as Shaw’s. This game was heartbreaking, but it was one game and we have a bye to get healthy. There was a lot of positives from this game. So many players showed up, and the Hail Mary although painful especially as it is being shown non stop on NFLN as expected, was a heck of a catch by Hopkins. He really did have the highest hands on the play.
  21. I don’t understand why Davis wasn’t out there as it was obvious what they were going to do and why they didn’t try and just bat it away. Tough loss.
  22. He couldn’t. You don’t remember the scandal? He evaded it. Reggie Bush took part of the hit. He’s made a great career in Seattle, post USC. It was a redemption to his earlier NFL career. He’s a good coach and this is overblown. They can’t really fix this until the off season. Too bad as I like Wilson. Heck of a guy.
  23. It wasn’t a bad signing. $6 mil. For a guy who used to an all pro and knows our defense. Whether it works or not is irrelevant. We’ll see.
