  1. Noggin, as always, right on the $ with Sweat. His secondary evaluations are impressive and good for him in a solid contract. If a team wants to pay that much for a pass rusher, then it’s their money. That’s the point of capitalism. If they made a mistake, they’ll pay for their choices down to road. The real opportunity for the Bears is to find a solid President of football operations, GM, then HC. Follow the McBeane playbook. Purge guys like Brandon and Wrex, and replace with the right people. Purge bad contracts, build with sound draft decisions, and buy intelligently role players. What did McBeane do by 2019, they had been drafting well, got rid of Darius, and Sammy, and they bought an O Line. People can complain about the line, but it was better than in 18. Until the Halas family starts making good decisions, they will continue to flounder even with Ngakoue, Sweat, Edmunds, and so on. They need to find their Josh Allen. My advice, is have mgmt make every attempt to tank, get Caleb, and buy an O Line. From there they can build a team and with the Packers finally rudderless with a QB thank god for the last 30 years they’ve run the NFCN. Detroit is the new hot team in the north and they have built a team in the right way. People laughed at Campbell until they finally came around to accepting he knew what he was doing.
  2. It is part of the game, the worst part, but it’s a necessary evil. Just hope for the best each play.
  3. Ridge, you really better never change. Wasn’t that the guy from that old Humphrey Bogart movie. Casablanca. Don’t forget the obligatory “hey, this 38 yr old washed up player was released, should we bring him in for a look? Maybe Von can talk to him, yadayada”
  4. And you’re like a blood hound sniffing out those trolls disguised as Bills fans. Never change DJB. You have fans and you’re a wisears. Reminds of someone else I know.
  5. Simon, I like and agree with your entire comment on the beginning of this thread, but don’t you scold us for cursing at times. Sauce for the goose… I do appreciate the thread although Douglas had actually a slow beginning to his career. It was the last two years where’d he reinvented himself. My hope is Elam can do the same by year 3. He has the natural abilities. He just has to put it together.
  6. Classic Chans. I expect no less from you. Lamentation of the women is of particular interest. As far as the existential question, it’s pretty simple, I enjoy hearing balanced measured opinions on various Bills and/or NFL topics as can learn or at least open to hearing differing points of view. Some not all have a good understanding of football and strategy. I neither Pollyanna nor a cynic of the team, coaching and Mgmt. Like many good teams, they do some things quite well, and others could be better. Recently, I’m very curious as to how the three additions this week could positively or possibly negatively impact Sunday nights game. Lastly, my friends and family know how nuts I am for the Bills and need a place to get away from the career and other necessities in life. 72, thanks for starting the thread. It’s a sound question.
  7. Thanks for reminding us. Ahh the drought. A littany of bad draft after bad draft.
  8. I didn’t know I gained that many fans. You’re too funny donuts. As far as Toledo, yeahPoona hasn’t been used correctly. He sa 3 technique guy who is meant for a 4-3, but he’s the third guy behind Oliver and Phillips for good reasons. He shined in Seattle in Oliver’s role, but both of the other guys are better. Phillips is always an injury risk so it wasn’t costly to have him. Just because he’s thick, he’s never been a space eater. He floundered in a 3-4. Joseph so the real deal. Maybe we get lucky and he scoops up a fumble. Memories of Berman. HE COULD GO ALLLL THE WAYYY, RUMBLIN, STUMBLING, BUMBLIN LINVELL JOSEPH!!!
  9. He is tailor made for us. We needed a true 1 technique, not as good as Daquan, as Jones doesn’t just clog the interior, he penetrates. Joseph will at least clog up the middle for Oliver and Phillips to hunt. Interior pressure is key to McD’ s defense. That and the defensive backs. Well, we just replenished badly needed bodies in these areas. In time with snaps Williams will grow at the Wil and Bernard has shown already his progress since year 1.
  10. Mark Davis is close if not the poorest owner in the NFL. It’s amazing the incredibly moronic decisions. He’s taking on senile dads choices, not when Al was young and brought his 70’s teams to the SB. There was one rumor about Jim Harbaugh. That actually would be a pretty good idea. He may be ego maniacal, but he’s a winner, and creates a winning culture.
  11. If any of you have played sports at a highly competitive level or coached, you look forward to challenges. There’s no doubt with the improvements in the Bengals this is a challenge. We also have a great opportunity to show who we are as a team. I welcome it. If we’re not for it, then we didn’t deserve it anyway. Beat the blast ages on their home ground and shut up everyone. As Drago said, we lose, we lose. Courage and fear. Two sides of a hand. One is never on the same side.
  12. Toure always all over it Turk sniffing out the trolls. By airseven. You may want to enter a new emoji, and start all over as the real Bills guys know you. the sad thing is if you were just honest and said you’re a Fish fan, and was respectful, but disagree at times, people would respect you vs the silly passive aggressive stuff pretending to be a Bills fan. How long do you think it takes before we all know who you are. Don’t go away mad, just go away.
  13. Yep. I wrote that yesterday. Such is 36, but played well for the Eagles, and with our 50% rotation, wouldn’t get worn out. He was impactful on the Bucs a few years ago. He wouldn’t cost much either.
  14. Bill, it was discussed this morning on WGR. It’s only a $6 mil hit this year and $16 mil next year. A bargain for one of the top 3 WR’s in the league. We’d be unstoppable. im all in on Adams for. 2nd, trading for Johnson in Chicago for Elam and a late pick, and lastly as we’re getting “let’s get stupid”, picking up Suh for half a year as he’s still good at 36. He did fine in Philly. Live with Bernard and Williams at LB. None will help this Sunday, but the rest of the year, yeah. Elam will probably shine on the Bears as they sick on defense
  15. No as we’re light in the middle. I’m sure he’s been in the principal McD’s office talking about stopping the penalties
  16. No argument brother. They have looked bad in the beginning of the year while Burrow had that calf injury and he couldn’t drive the ball. This past Sunday after a bye was instrumental in him looking more healthy. That was the 9ers in San Fran (actually Santa Clara).
  17. Home advantage line for years has been 1.5 so Vegas is basically saying it’s an even game. I watched the Bengals game yesterday and they look more complete than us right now. That doesn’t mean the Bills can’t come out like they played in the Dolphins game. This will be our toughest test.
  18. Normally sure, but I have a date with a girl wayyy out of my league so I’ll pass. My plans include a lot more fun.
  19. Jack I’m just kidding with you as well. I don’t see us having the Jackson Hole Jaguars anytime soon. 🤣👌👍🏈🦬
  20. I know it was Friday, but to all tbders out there. Posting after day drinking a bottle of tequila is never a good idea.
  21. Idaho or Wyoming that has 500,000 people, or maybe London, Berlin, Bonn, and Madrid who so far in Germany there were 3,000,000 tickets requested within 24 hrs. They arent placing teams in Midwest states over bajillions of dollars in europe. Not happening. New CBA, means new International division, and my guess is it’s already in the works. Hawaii sounds interesting, but it’s as far from the east coast to europe. Alabama is a college state. I was with my rep a few years ago and he must’ve said Roll Tide 33 times in one day. They don’t care about the NFL.
  22. Don’t you just love Hill a couple of weeks ago says before the game, there is no difference between the Bills fans and any other fan base. Then after the game he admits they are different. Tyreek, not to self, you may want to rethink calling out fanbases. I too had ifficulties at times hearing the announcers. Good call on handing out the game ball to the crowd.
