  1. The OP picked most and agree. I’d only add as we had no preseason games this year, that now that there are changes coming, allowing fans, and have 1-2 pre-season games (not .... thing just fans back in stands would be great). Pre-season games by only having 1-2 is long enough to make an evaluation on players. I’d like UDFA’s getting their chance to prove themselves. I think we would’ve known Dane Jackson would’ve shined in those games and maybe made it in the field earlier in the season. I would bet lower drafted players, and UDFA’s would end up making up most of the team in that 1-2 games. I know they didn’t vote for a 17th game at the recent meeting, but I think something was mentioned in NFLR they approved the rules for if they had17 games. You can tell this is coming. Even if they had only 1 pre-season game, and a 17th game, with these new changes with expanded practice squad, players of any veteran status allowed on PS, and a flexible IR policy would make it easy to make those changes. I would like just for the enjoyment a regular double header for MNF. Nice part is more teams get Nat’l attention so helps everyone and the whole we can’t have before 8:30 pm due to the west coast gets thrown out. 7 and 9 pm for East to Central time zone teams early, and central to west play the late game. T, W, and F would be too much. Saturday games were always there and hope that stays once the college season ends. I can’t wait fir the Saturday game this week and we can enjoy other things on a Sunday. Anyway, good football topic.
  2. Gugs, I think you’re being a little tough on Lamar and Tua. Tua’s just getting started, so remember how many flashes coupled with bonehead hero ball mistakes Allen made in his first year. As far as Lamar, teams are figuring him out, but it’s not like the Ravens stink. They just took a step back and much of the speculation was allowing those TE’s to leave was a bigger mistake than they thought. I was surprised as they okayed more 13 personnel than anyone in the league when they were 14-2 last year. As far as the AFC, they definitely have much more promising younger ascending QB’s than the NFC. For the NFC, I se Kyler continuing to grow, I don’t see Wilson as on the back 9 as he has a lot of good years ahead of him if they fix that defense, Bridgewater is playing a team rebuilding, but that’s about it. We’ll see what the NFC does in the draft. I definitely think on a related topic to this that the AFC is a much better conference this year, and the QB’s have a lot to do with it.
  3. Augue, just for fun, after we’re up by 28 pts. In the 4th quarter, Allen ought to just from 1st and 10 on the 25 after the kick off, have him throw it right through the goal posts. Then on our next possession he does it again, and then again. That would be the funniest ending of a game ever. I could just hear the announcers say, wait he over threw that ball by a mile. Then the ref signals, three pts., then they go bananas. Hey I know ....., let’s call Belicheck, maybe he knows what’s going on. Just sayin.😇🤫💪🏈
  4. I know but that 2pt. Conversion defense. That will be the death of us if not for that backup QB problem. 😂🤣😭 All kidding aside, one sign of a great team is being able to put the nail in the coffin at the end of a game just putting together a long drive. On the contrary, we are the best 4th quarter comeback team in football. Before that game the Steelers were 1st and 3rd in both parameters in defense, and the week before the 49ers were 6th in defense. It just is so reassuring to know we can stand toe to toe with any defense in the NFL. Keeps reminding me the only team to stand against us is the Chiefs. The way our defense is playing now, I think we have a chance. Not a lock, but exciting and I’m confident in the next two games. Now can the Steelers just stub their toe against the Colts in 10 days.
  5. Thanks Kmart. Not stated so was only a guess. Then, Terry’s having fun. Good for him. Wait til we hit the playoffs another 10 years making it 12 of 13.
  6. My problem as I didn’t see Terry, but if he even remotely or Kim had fun with the guys, then they are true Buffalo. I don’t even think as much as I love Ralph, he would’ve done that for fun. Glad these guys are having fun, and I bet half of them are from the south so new to them. Good for them. Love our team. How many other team fans don’t get to see this fun?
  7. Shady, how about blue top on red with white socks. I can handle that one.
  8. Sorry I forgot to add (need more coffee), my reference to Tillman was they would answer that question that in the Hall they have a salute to the veterans type display/memorial, and that is how they celebrate guys like Tillman and Our guy from Vietnam, but that is not inclusion criteria fir the Hall. Horrigan went in to recite all the statistics or NFL players who lost their lives in earlier wars like WW2, and Korea. I had no idea that many NFL/Military died in WW2. Sorry for a long winded reply. As to whether any fan wants or doesn’t want a player to get in who did something despicable in their private life, you have every right as we’re celebrating his morals as what Bennett did off the field is disgusting, but simply his play.
  9. I occasionally listen to HOF radio on NFLR Saturday mornings heading to the gym, and the guy who runs it (Joe Horrigan) and he is adamant inductees are only to be considered for their on field activities and accomplishments. Callers often when they have them will ask why OJ is still in or this veteran like Pat Tillman and others should get in to the Hall. He’s consistent, and Vic repeats almost verbatim on his Press Coverage show as they used to take callers (Sat’s, if you want to catch it) about inductees and off field is not supposed to matter. Vic once explained when he took over for the great Larry Felser as a voter representing the Bills, that he was educated when given that honor that he was not to consider off field issues. He even mentioned once that TO was not held out a year because of his locker room stuff with McNabb or anyone else. If they are being honest, then it shouldn’t factor into the decision. I definitely think he is deserving, not because I’m a Bills homer, but objectively he was one of the best at his time. When he gained that 25 lbs. of muscle one year to the next, he became a wrecking crew. The difference is not that he was 245 lbs. or so, but he was really quick for his size. Remember in his era, a lot of LB’s were his size. It was a different game back then, but he defined sideline to sideline play. I understand how hard it is for Tasker to get in as he would be pretty much the first non kicker/punter S. Teamer to get into the Hall. The thing you hear form these voters is to ask the question, did this player transform the game in some way. The answer is undoubtedly yes for Tasker. Maybe someday we’ll see the best ST returner get in as those guys are a rare breed. Chandman, thanks for sharing. Great to get up this morning to this clip. Appreciate it.
  10. It’s a good question I asked years ago after moving here, and was told by my friends are a mixed bag. First they care like all of the FL and the South about college ball much more. These guys live and die by their respective teams (FL, FSU, MIAMI, UCF, and USF), but are split among Tampa, Jax, and Miami. You make a good point though, and for them they have a Fox game in Tampa each week, and they can get the Fins or the Jags.
  11. It’s one of the reasons Allen has had such a clean pocket this year. Both guys are doing a nice job.
  12. I’m ambivalent on the socks, but I like the white on blue, and the blue on white. The one item I really liked was the white face masks. I wish that was standard as it looked good.
  13. You do something like this after he wins multiple SB’s, and is our franchise guy making the playoffs year after year for 15 years, then maybe. Allen St. If you’re referring downtown where Mulligans is a cornerstone for Buffalo. You don’t mess with history and culture.
  14. Bruce representing Oregon well again (side note, thank god it’s weed, cuz when he moves onto Shrooms we’re in trouble with threads 🤡👽☠️), but as the next guy wrote, I can’t see Diggs, Allen, White, most likely Poyer, but not a lock. I’d also add if he breaks well over 1000 yards which is possible is Beasely. He’s one of the best slot WR now. Everyone always used to think about Edelman and Welker before those two. The one thing helping our players is they went from MNF, to SNF, to Saturday Football, and MNF again. If we are 12-3, and the Dolphins are 10-5 which is conceivable, it should get a lot of national attention. It just depends on other playoff implications for week 17. What will get the spotlight is if the Steelers lose to the Colts, then 2nd seed is in play. This will be in every pregame show amd they will push the whole old time Bills/Dolphins rivalry. My point is there will be so much national attention, fans will be voting heavily on our stars. The players as well will direct more attention to The crew mentioned above. Hopefully if we are peaking going into the playoffs, McD might really get serious consideration for Coach of the Year. I know he’s third, but I just don’t know if Allen actually would get MVP. Mahomes already won it, so it is possible. Thanks Bruce for sharing. Keep those hits coming, and I’m not talking about songs.
  15. A friend of mine texted me we came in at 3 in most. Whatever, just keep winning baby.
  16. You still on that Bills. I know it’s you’re thing so if you want to hold onto that 1%, god bless ya.
  17. Well said oh great Weo. There is no secret sauce. Everyone in the league has tape on us for three years and at a minimum this year. It’s how they execute and when they call what at what time against which opponent. It’s the same on defense. It’s not like McD has some magic that is so unique to him, rather he has a knack for knowing what to call when, and a way of diagnosing what is needed at the right time with Frazier.
  18. Bobby, nice pick up. I usually am pretty up on the team, but missed the sickle cell notification in 2016. I couldn’t agree more. Even with the Pats, I’d like to see how he practices this week and next week. If he is good, then maybe a pitch count to get him in rhythm. If the second seed is on the line, then definitely the Fins for the game.
  19. Augie, r u kiddin, you Weo, Gugs, 3/12, Lime, Chandman, Ridgeway, Hap of course, and can’t forget Donuts, and I’m sure I forgot a bunch more are all welcome with Fred (my dog) in my garage. You’ll love him and I’ll make sure to give him Hormel Chili that day like Grumpier Old Men (love that scene) as well as many Schlitz as you can drink (I don’t even know if they still sell that crap) as long as you use the outhouse I’m renting for the weekend. Don’t worry, you can go down to my pond and beat yourself on a rock when needing to clean up (MASH reference for the youngins with Radar). All kidding aside, if you guys, any of you come down, let me know and we can grab a daddy juice together. I’d love to meet you guys so on the crazy chance we get here, I’d love to meet whoever is coming. After the AFCC we’ll know and could be fun. Love to meet any TSW guys coming. First things first, let’s get there. (That was a good one Augie, had to try and keep up with you’re sarcasm)
  20. Mango, can we put a terrible towel with JuJu’s characature’s head on it on the towel, for sliming while Hyde is just sliding by? Just askin. No honey, it’s daddy’s ginger ale. Beer bad. Ginger ale good. Can I have some. No sweetie, but here’s you’re juice box.
  21. Lime, you may laugh, but had to look up on my provider as my youngest is 17 so I didn’t even know I had Nick. I just remember them dropping goop all over kids. Didn’t even know what they were doing as I would have my laptop open doing work and was a ah yeah, ok, good one, etc. etc. At least it was better than the Teletubbies days. Oy. That was like Captain Quint fingernails on the chalk board.
  22. I thought as much bud. Dad’s old school Irish Catholic from the 1st Ward and then SB. I know a stereotype, but he fits it. He can tell a joke in a crowd off the cuff, can do a testimonial at the drop of a hat, and that old bird wants no talking except for him in his later years griping at the players. If it makes you giggle Roy, like old codgers, when I watch a game with him, he either wants to fine anyone who makes a mistake, bench them, or get rid of the refs. My answer is either silence, or yes, dad. Fathers, what are you going to do (and yes like I hope my kids say someday is still my hero).
