  1. Ethan, I’ve been steadfast Milano should stay and way too many people are not evaluating Milano’s importance to this team. He’s better than a lot of well paid WIL Backs in the league who are paid as much if not more than what Spotrac estimates his value. Ill wait though as we don’t know who we retain on the team. There are a bunch of 30+ vets that either will need to redo their contracts or get purged, amd we don’t know Beane’s draft strategy. If you’re Beane, you probably would want to keep getting younger and developed, aka, keep them both, draft the holes, and move on from older guys. It’s how you remain good for years.
  2. Fair enough Ganesh. These guys are used to travel. I mentioned it’s about being home until we face the Chiefs, and by some good fortune they lose in the divisional round, we play at home all the way through to the SB. No NFC team scares me at all. The Saints, Packers, and Bucs all have flaws. Of these three, the most balanced is really the Bucs. They have a better defense then the other two. It’s a ways away so we can cross that later. I’ve said before, this AFCC game if us and them, will be our SB. It will also probably have the highest ratings of all time for an AFCC game.
  3. Respectfully disagree. We win and get 2nd seed is not about the fans. It’s ensuring we okay weaker opponents than the Chiefs. We are second and get the 7th seed. Then in the second round, we get the second worst team as the Chiefs will get the worst seeded. Then we are ina rhythm, going to KC. The fans is not the issue. Besides, if Cuomo the way he is posturing for the rapid testing before entry will allow maybe 6000 fans or more, but he wants it for political reasons. I won’t be there, but my friends would love to go, and for younger persons who’ve never been to a Bills home playoff game, it’s amazing however many fans are there. Buffalo deserves it. I agree homefield throughout the season is a non issue which is why Vegas is only giving 1.5 pts for homefield vs. the traditional 3.
  4. I still contend unless injured, we play the starters at least through the first half. If the Steelers win and we lose, we go back to the third seed. It’s not so much about fans, but Sal said yesterday morning, we play keep away from KC until the AFCC game. We do that and we can beat any other AFC playoff team including the Ravens. The problem with the Ravens is just one guy, Lamar. He can be mediocre at times and then explodes with a 30 yard run. McD is the best though at containing a guy like him. For the most part, they did that last year with him and Lamar and the Ravens may have won, but it was his worst performance last year until their loss to the Titans.
  5. I loved how after Josh tried the stiff arm, he threw it out there screw you BB, when he threw his arm out there. That guy is Kelly 2.0.
  6. How cool was that Tasker bit from the “might be chilly”. Love the love.
  7. I was hoping for a 4th and go for it. Probably emotions not smarts. They made the right call.
  8. And I couldn’t be any happier. Get the sauce with the misses going (macaroni and gravy) in early am, church, gym, Sunday ore game, bills at 1pm, Sunday dinner, and fall into a football coma watching the best 4pm game and in the old days, the kids when little climbing into bed with us for NFL PRIMETIME, at 7pm. My boys when little absolutely loved Boomer with his phrases (HE COULD GO ALL THE WAYY!, RUMBLING BUMBLIN, and so on) Im a fart as I hate these night games. Probably as I get up no matter what at 5 am, or earlier based on medical cases and drive time.
  9. Shady, no argument on rotation, but just it’s not like the football gods chose these matchups. It’s just simply how we finished and them. Anyway, I’m sure he an others know that part. s9me folks just don’t know scheduling. There is no magic to it. A different nfc division every four years, a different afc division every three years and you face the same seeded afc opponents the next year of the other two divisions and no deviating from it. Next year we get the afc and nfc south, and the first seeded AFCW (KC), and the afcn (Steelers). The original poster made a mistake, but didn’t want point out we didn’t face the Chiefs for three years. Not a big deal. Go Bills tonight.
  10. I used to coach, but nothing special, just youth football until each of my boys were 12 and 13 (career wouldn’t allow me to help with HS ball) We just used simple phrases like hike, but my guess would be a two word short one is long enough for offensive players to not have a false start, but short enough the defense can’t anticipate to shoot a gap. This is pure speculation. If you really want to know, you should call into the Movin the Chains guys as Jim Miller usually has an accurate answer to these type of questions. They do a lot of this stuff in the off season teaching different aspects of the game. They are on 3-7pm on NFLR. A lot of guys here like their show.
  11. I’m with you. Having a 1pm game is great. It stinks the Bucs are on Fox at 1pm or otherwise the Fins/Bills game would be on tv here. The good news is both games these four teams will give it their best, amd that’s always a good thing. I was just thinking it’s likely we beat the Fins, the Colts beat the Jags, the Ravens beat the Bengals. I believe that means the Fins are out, and as I said on another thread, we face the Browns in round 1. That’s fine with me. The Browns did not look good yesterday.
  12. I was thinking the same. I don’t know how you look up dropped potential Int’s for Allen, but if one of you stat guys want to provide it, that would be great. Mahomes has 38 TD’s to 6 Int’s and a potential 16 more, but didn’t happen. Allen has 30 TD’s to 9 Int’s, but we don’t know how many potential that didn’t happen. As the OP stated, he is probably the best QB in this league, but Allen is becoming a close second. I don’t mind Mahomes getting the award, and remember Brees never won it in 20 years which is a sin. He’s still a first ballot HOFer. Now it’s time to do this right and finish 13-3, so we can kick the Browns butts if it’s them.
  13. My guess is most Jets fans are probably ambivalent at this point. I remember the 3-13 years. By that point, I wouldn’t even watch the game as I was so sickened by those teams. If you’re old enough, remember watching the Kay Stephenson Bills. Gives me a chill just thinking of those days.
  14. Well, I tried to import a pic I took from NFLN, but the message stated too large. As it stands now, I’ll just type it out. Steelers vs. Browns (they have them listed as the second seed as we haven’t played yet) Bills vs. Ravens Titans vs. Fish First, for everyone who doesn’t want the Ravens in the first, the seeding will flip once we beat the Pats tonight so don’t get you’re panties in a wad. We should by today’s projection get the Browns. Bottom line is everything can change and won’t really know until Sunday night. You guys should know all the permutations and what if’s, so not worth typing every possible combination. The Bills will though have to play their starters to maintain the second seed. If the Steelers beat the Browns. We have to beat the Fish.
  15. Real, you’re a pretty savvy NFL fan so maybe this is just a frustration quote, vs. not knowing how schedules are mapped out. Just in case, we play the same seeded team outside of our division and the division in the AFC we play every 3rd year. In this case it’s the AFCS. We also play the NFCS, just like this year we played the NFCW and AFCW. We also played the second seeded teams outside of the AFCW, meaning the Steelers and Titans. There are probably some Bills fans that don’t know this small point so for them here you go. It actually surprises me how many NFLR callers ask this same question at least 30 times over the spring.
  16. Because the last meeting has the rules set up for a 17th game, but the vote to do it was tabled for the next meeting, at least that’s what was reported on NFLR.
  17. I have selfish reasons I’m hopeful he ends up at the Jags. They may have made lots of bad decisions on personnel (hate admit that one as I’m a St. Francis grad like Caldwell, but he was after my time). I have some very dear friends in Jax and enjoy the city when working there. They are all beaten down Jags fans, and are just looking for that spark like us in 2017 where they get a great tandem like McBeane. Khan is one of the richest owners in the NFL so he could easily pay top $ for those important pieces. I have this feeling (probably irrational one) Brian Gaine and Daboll go to the Texans together, and maybe Bieniemy and another hot GM candidate end up in Jax. I wouldn’t touch the Jets job with a 10 ft. Pole and Lawrence would probably flourish in a few years in Jax. He really doesn’t have a say so just going back to Clemson for another year just forces then he has no choices. The Eli Manning, John Elway trades back in the day probably never happens again. Besides, I don’t want the Jests getting Lawrence as if the GM chooses the right coach, they could in four years get humming.
  18. Why do you punish me? My head about exploded watching that piece (I’m just kidding). Lamar is better than Allen by everyone, but Mel. I did like Mel’s passion and didn’t know that vignettes about the players from Wyoming going into the NFL. Allen is good, but only because he has WR’s now...... WHAT? Jackson had three fantastic TE’s last year, lost a couple and now they can only win if he runs for over 100 yards a game, not to mention what the RB’s are doing this year in Baltimore. Yeah Allen is nothing, just 4000 yards in 14 games, 69% completion record and 30 TD’s to 9 picks, oh and don’t forget another 383 rushing by Allen. Compare that to Jackson at 2468 yards, 65% comp. %, and 8 picks. Jackson now has 828 yards rushing. Hmmm, which one is the true QB who can run, but is evolving into one of the most dangerous QB’s in the league passing. Oh yeah it has to be the WR’s. That’s like saying Joe Montana is only the GOAT because of Jerry Rice. It’s a team sport. Anyway, I know this Schlick from the ESPN is a hit take piece, but that’s why I won’t watch them. I don’t mind Mel as many people do especially when he does this...
  19. You guys know this has been discussed at nauseous every few months four years and years. Nothing has changed. Yes, the NFL is trying out the streaming option, but DirectV pays obscene $ for the ticket because they would probably lose 65% of their subscriptions without it. Nauseum, auto correct.
  20. I guess this is important to you guys. I like our units the way they are except the second uni for maybe a game (the one with the red standing Buffalo on the white helmet).
