It depends on who’s doing the picking. The Rams act like they have a short window to win it all, amd didn’t have the confidence in Goff (I don’t either). A lot of people don’t like Stafford, but he’s played on bad teams for a decade. The Rams may be decent next year. They have the #1 defense in the league. The cool part for us is we beat them and the Steelers, 49ers, Ravens, Colts, and Chargers. Think about that our explosive offense beat six of the top 10 defenses. Just a positive note on a number of negative threads since the KC game.

I don’t see how any team is going to give away a ton of picks for Carr. I guess anything can happen. It’s a big gamble of assuming they have a deal with Houston for them to back out. It just seems too much like the NBA.

I gave credit to Flores in the sense they drafted 11 players, had a bunch of free agents, and he managed to turn a 5 win team to a 10 win team in one year. How he handled the QB situation made no sense. Why he wouldn’t keep starting Fitz until we’ll he became Fitz. They have had 1-2 more wins. Now I don’t think they would’ve gone farther than the wildcard game, but at least they could’ve made it to the dance. This idea is just not defendable. The second coordinator should’ve been give another title and responsibilities. He could’ve still consulted with the OC, but there needs to be clear succession.

They weren’t getting separation as their injuries were hampering their ability to separate. It’s hindsight, but why not use McKenzie and Stills. Diggs was getting double teamed and with two healthy receivers, it may have been a different outcome. The Chiefs were more prepared than our team, and it showed. Shaw you were spot on with Edmunds.

Once the draft is over, the only thing Watson has for leverage is holding out a year and loses $25 mil. And it starts all over again. Look how well that went for Bell. He lost $14.5 mil (Steelers offer), and although he made $14.96 mil. from the Jets in 2019, he only made between the Jets and Chiefs $5.5 mil. It was the worst decision a RB could ever make and he never will make it up. Watson won’t either. So with Allen, not for all the $ in the world or 100 draft picks.

We have Star. Why not use the pick for another more pressing need? I never thought I would say this, but an explosive RB with blazing speed and can catch would really help. Not directed at you Yolo, meaning every player as Shady stated is going to do what is best for them and their family, and the Bills are going to do what is best for them. If it were you, and another employer offers you $2 mil. more, are you going to take it? Now you work in an industry that you’re skills are finite. You know you only have so many years to earn this income, and you will start a second career for considerably less. Billsfan, in general completely agree. In this game he made some good decisions, but on the large loss sacks it was additionally difficult, because he thought he could beat the pressure. I love what I’ve seen from him this year, and he also improved in sliding when he ran. I was speaking to how Mahomes doesn’t help himself when he makes these calls going backward, but in these few instances Allen did the same. If you know my history, you know I’ve been an Allen proponent. With Daboll and Allen both coming back, Sal mentioned on the radio we could see even more out of Allen in year 4.

Uconn, you know what’s funny is on NFL Matchup, this exact problem of a QB continuing to go back to evade pressure vs. stepping into the pocket is what guess who... Oat Mahomes. Cosell and crew were stating Mahomes makes it very difficult to block for him because when he keeps going backward, it’s easier for edge rushers to get around the tackles to get to him. The point of the clip was KC does have some flaws, amd this is one of them. The problem is we didn’t have the rushers to get to Mahomes, but KC did have the juice. The point was not Mahomes has flaws to me, but Allen needs to step into the pocket and not think he can always evade the rush vs. all too often feel he can use his athleticism to get out of trouble. The problem is for many teams, his strategy works and thus reinforces bad behavior. We go ooh, aww, and we should be thinking, what are you stupid, step into the pocket. It also symbolizes we needed healthy WR’s out there. Playing all of the guys with an oblique, knee, ankle, broken leg was a mistake. Diggs would’ve been ok, but we should’ve considered Still and McKenzie. Replace them with two of the other guys.

Beast, I’d keep him, but only as a backup and upgrade however possible. My reasoning is we don’t have that many options. Lee Smith can block and as we saw this year catch, but you can time him with a calendar. You can’t have Knox as a starter when he’s only catching 50% of the time. The only reason to retain as a backup is a lot of starting TE’s grow into their position. Even Tony Gonzalez took until year 3 where he took off. Knox will never be him, but as a backup maybe his third year he improves. For sure, he’s NOT a starter.

N Man, I’ve thought the same thing in that the problem is in the running game as has been discussed so in haste they keep going back to Allen running. As far as Allen’s designed runs, Id rather see him evolve into the style R. Wilson or even Mahomes adopts. They still run a bit, but more scramble to throw, and move in space. Both of these QB’s avoid hits. The last thing I want to see is Allen ending up like Cam. His career is over. He’ll be lucky to be a backup somewhere, but even that’s a problem as that city will be in a Flutie/Johnson debate all year. I certainly want non of it in Buffalo.

Thurm, I don’t know if you’re in this camp, but Edmunds progressed well his rookie year, but that was partially because Star clogged up a Center and possibly Guard allowing Edmunds to play in space. Between Star out and his injury in the beginning of this year, it made it more difficult for Edmunds to shine, but he adjusted as the year went on. Edmunds isn’t going anywhere. By the way some people are posting, you’d think we finished 7-9.

As much as I would love one of the UFA TE’s, I don’t see any splash moves happening. Once they decide who they are not extending or cutting, then we’ll see some role players added, but nothing fancy. Our talent sill come from whatever we get in the draft.

Whether he is a backup or starter, that doesn’t matter. You’re right as it seems fairly overwhelming he attempted to kill her. Its horrible. I can only imagine how her parents felt knowing their daughter was almost killed by this animal. There is no excuse for it.
