  1. Let’s go Cooper. If you watched last night, the Bills WR’s are ceap minus Shakir and give Coleman a pass as a rookie.
  2. Thielen is over the hill and slow. He is a good possession receiver, but doesn’t get separation. It’s Cooper or Adams if anyone at all. I certainly hope we do grab one.
  3. If there is any truth to the Kay Adams podcast with the Raiders front office guy, luck will change dramatically with an Adams trade.
  4. Uncle Hulka, is that you?
  5. That’s a good point Taxi.
  6. Here’s an answer WAG. I think that covers it.
  7. Exactly. We’ll get next to nothing for a 1st team all pro LB. We need him for hopefully the playoffs. Sal mentioned and I agree, Spector amd Wiliams are a “See ball, get ball” LB’s. It was a good description. Bernard and Milano play with instincts to foresee what will happen and both are right more than wrong. Williams will continue to grow and that conversation is one to two years away. Not now. Our defense will be markedly better when we get him back with Bernard. The elephant in the room are the WR’s. I’m allowing myself to get a little excited over the Kay Adams podcast interview regarding Adams. God we need it. That one acquisition can change the landscape of our offense. Think of an Adams, Samuel (and have him target downfield routes) amd Shakir. Couple that with Kinkaid over the middle as well as Shakir, and Cook for play action. Now we have outside threats, inside threats and a dump off option. I know this sounds simple, but it can work. We have excellent perimeter CB’s, Rapp is coming back, and Taron may be in the field for Mondays game. We can go on a run guys. We’re hitting the sift part of the schedule until KC, amd after SF, it lightens up again for the rest of the year.
  8. A favorite old movie. My grandmother did that to me once, Once! Almost as good as Marony, You fargin iceholes, ya da yada. For the young guys, go rent on Apple for $2 as it’s like a gangster Airplane movie.
  9. I’m grateful to the Pegulas. I love the Bills and my sister works for 25 years for the Sabres. They made their rookie mistake with Wrex, and fixed it with this crew. I’m not a huge NHL guy, but it looks like they made a good hire with Lindy. You have to give it time. It was shaky with the 17 and 18 Bills, but the leadership came together and built something.
  10. I’m close Happy. 17-13 Bills. Rodgers looks terrible, but our WR’s look terrible.
  11. I don’t see it happening either, but disagree with you Billl on the sizzle vs. steak. Metcalf is a top tier WR and had average to above average QB’s, but not studs like Burrow, Mahomes, and and Josh. It doesn’t matter as it’s much ado about nothing. We’ll never get a chance at that trade. We’ve tried before.
  12. Leggo Eggo, I’m somewhat kidding, but we need weapons. That is Coopers hit at the trade deadline based on what the Browns have already paid. Jeremy’s bit is Let’s get stupid. That’s all. I was pretty clear amd also half kidding. It would be transformative if they could make it happen amd just clean out a number of the scrubs on the team.
  13. So you guys probably listen to WGR IN THEIR “Let’s get stupid” bit, how about redo every deal to signing bonuses to almost everyone and get both Adams and Cooper. I told you stupid, but we have those two and Dhakir with Kinkaid, and we are off to the races. Like I said stupid. The cool thing is Cooper by the trade deadline would only be $600,000 so affordable, and we’d have to do a multi year deal at least two to three for Adams as one voidable year and wala, we go deep in the playoffs. I told you stupid.
  14. If I’m lazy, my wife’s chili as she made me some for the Hurricane and have a lot left. If not, I’ll head over to Palm Harbor as one of the family of Blasdell Pizza, has one here and it’s not like the crap they are producing up there as new owners. It’s like it always was back then and they import the ingredients from Buffalo. It took hours to get anywhere today as the lights are out, the side roads all flooded, and problems everywhere in Tampa. Still no gas practically anywhere so just depends they get replenished. Some streets will be weeks before power and flooding managed. FYI, this was the first direct hit to Tampa since 1920. No one can prepare fully for it in terms of infrastructure. Go Bills! BTW- a cool clip from Kay Adams podcast where she asks the Raiders front office guy if a trade is imminent and he said yes. She asked if the name of the team rhymes with Schmills. He laughed and I think said yes. That’s our saving Grace if it happens by the trade deadline.
  15. Granted the Hawks lost the last three, but they won the first three. Why would a rookie HC accept giving Lockett away? I’m with the other poster it’s Adams or Cooper if anyone, and god I hope it’s one of them. Our WR’s are drowning.
  16. I didn’t like Dumb and Dumber, but that was funny.
  17. WAG, we actually just married early in this summer, and her first NFL game was experiencing me watching the Cardinals game. She’s actually wonderful and thinks I’m funny the way I bark at the TV at times. I did laugh though at your remark. It was pretty funny. The good news is it’s a sunny now in the early afternoon. Hopefully the roads waters goes down in the next 24 hours. It would be nice to start getting back to normal for those of us who haven’t had personal damage.
  18. Well, I just tried to get out for an essential item and almost every road to exit my development was flooded. I finally found one route, but trees knocked over including in my development. For anyone in Tampa, stay home. There are a lot of power lines down. My wife is up with her parents, and to,d her to stay there until tomorrow. How about any good news keeping this Bills somewhat related and trade for Adams. You have no idea how these Bills stories were a pleasant distraction as a lot of people were somewhat scared.
  19. Thanks my friend. It’s getting sporty now. We’ll know by 7 am if there are any serious problems. Again, I appreciate it. If anything, you guys are a pleasant distraction from being too worried. We are main, throughout the day. Those emergency alerts are going off over and over.
  20. Linen, I don’t know if this helps, but we’ve been in a mandatory evacuations for A, and B, but also all manufactured homes. The authorities are strongly encouraging these persons to go to the shelters. It just started kicking up about 10 minutes ago, but it will get worse. A lot worse. For those of you rummies who texted me, thank you. It really is appreciated by us people in the Tampa area. I fear for my friends in South Tampa, as that is below sea level amd there is no way they don’t get massive flooding.
  21. It’s a good point on Elam, but is he capable? He excelled when he played at man coverage, but zone is very different, amd that typifies a free safety. I’m not saying he can’t, but does he possess the skills as it’s very different than man corner. As far as this week, I honestly don’t know. I still trust McDermott especially with his secondary management.
  22. Simon, my impression is he is trying to create even more time as none of the WR’s are getting separation as they stink minus Shakir. Coleman gets a pass as he’s a developing rookie.
  23. We have a gaping hole the size of the Grand Canyon, getting Bernard back, and we have no money, but a guy cut on a bad Eagles defense sounds like a good idea? I don’t understand. If we have to find $ for a trade, please, please, please, an outside WR.
