  1. I don’t see it as getting rattled rather than he is so confident in his arm and players, he thinks he can keep running back and evade the rush. His tackles are put in a bad spot, as many know guys like Brady move well in the pocket, but they help their tackles stepping into the pocket. Not me saying it, but Cosell on matchup the weekend if the Bills/Chiefs game. In that game though, our edge guys couldn’t get in fast enough and it was our guy Allen doing the same thing.
  2. It’s too difficult to tell as we don’t know what we are adding and losing, nor what they will win or lose in talent. Here are some of the Unrestricted Free Agents for 2021 for the Bucs. Barrett David Gronk Suh Fournette AB They have $38.144 mil. in space so it’s almost a lock they figure out some of these guys, but they are not per the people down here going after more talent as their cap can’t afford it. Some have differing opinions on BA, but I like him. My middle son besides the Bills and Bucs was a big AZ fan. I saw BA get the most out of Big Ben, then when thrust into the head coaching job in Indy turn that team around after the Manning injury and helped develop Luck. He then went to AZ and turn that team around from 5-11 prior to him, to a 10-11 win all but one year in AZ. Anything is possible so I’m rooting for the Bills, but the Bucs are the most complete team in the NFL now. They are a good passing team, can be good on the ground, and everyone saw what the defense can do last night. The Bucs as constructed are extremely well built.
  3. It is pretty crazy down here. I’m not a huge baseball fan, but to the people above, that is painful for Tampa fans. As to last night, I know everyone hates Brady, but for people down here, they hate the Pats too, but really got behind Brady with the Bucs. They’ve struggled with the Bucs as well, as Gruden made lots of mistakes after the first SB win, and then the team just went south after that. They believe in this team and their coaches. I always root for the Bills first, but Tampa is my second team in the NFC, so I had to do something I never thought I would do in rooting for Brady. I will have my Bills jersey on at the game in the fall. That Bucs defense Tre so much this year. Next year, it’s obvious with the Bills we need a pass rush with four, and a running game. GB wrote about it days ago, and he’s absolutely correct.
  4. Ill give you another one from my earlier post. The Bills were 6-3 against teams with a winning record after week 17. The Browns, 2-4. If you include the playoffs, the Browns were 3-7, and the Bills, 8-4!
  5. As far as Coach of the year, on the main page there is a nice article from Syracuse’s paper this morning that underlines why McDermott should’ve definitely received the award over Stefanski. McD in her item a mess in 17, turned our team around from a 17 year drought, has now made 3 of 4 years, won the AFCE, a first in 25 years, and made it back to the AFCCG. Stefanski had the #1 pick in Mayfield from 18, Myles Garrett, a stud from day 1, possible the best RB tandem in the league, and a lot of talent, and we still went 13-3, to their wins. We also won two playoff games, whereas the Browns lost. The last point I remember is we finished 6-0 in division to their 3-3 record. In what way did McD not deserve coach of the year? Like Allen, he’ll have many more chances for it, and 5 years from now, the Pegulas will be calling McBeane (both of them), are you boys ready for another 5 years. Just think positively we will have our GM, HC, and franchise QB for a total of 13 years before we ever enter a carousel again, and then some. You're our HC of the year Mr. McD.
  6. I understand if you don’t like the guy, amd they had a runnning game to compliment him, and Josh was hurt mid season, and Josh carried the team on his back, but Rodgers isn’t overrated. He’s one of the best in the league and his previous years teams were flawed. He deserves at least for this year, and Josh definitely was a strong second finishing ahead of Mahomes. For the next decade we’re probably going to see Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, and maybe Burrow and Lawrence eventually ascending. Just listening to Josh he may have liked the award, but the ring is what he’s chasing, and that means to me, we’re going to be in the playoffs for the next decade. I fully trust McBeane to make excellent personnel decisions, and coaching decisions. If Daboll and Allen are clicking this much in year 3, I can’t wait for year 4.
  7. I don’t know why you guys care what PFF thinks.
  8. You’re not wrong Big P. Brees is probably one of the more under appreciated top QB’s out of the current legends. He’s had a fantastic career, and people used to speak to his shoulder, his height, and so on. He proved everyone wrong. I wish him well, but Putin you’re right. He just needs to retire and enjoy those kids. I think he will. He wouldn’t have been playing ball with his sons after the game on the field if not to say it was his swan song. This contract thing must be a way prior to his retirement to help out the team vs. just announcing retirement.
  9. A couple people wrote injury prone on Brown. This year, sure, but in the last 6 years he only had one other season he was not eligible to play. Now in two of those seasons he was available but played in a smaller % of games due to not a fit. I agree with several of you a trade is highly unlikely as he would cost too much and no team knows if he is truly 100% by summer as it looks like they are considering another zoom off season from what Goodell stated the other day. It makes sense as it will take until the summer before widely distributed vaccines. What is most likely if his rehab goes well, he takes a pay cut on his salary, not a restructure. If he refuses they cut him. I like Brown, and believe it was his injuries that were much worse than we were led to believe. If the 2019 Brown comes back and is at a discount, I’m all for that. Taking a WR in the draft is a luxury. Now an Edge Rusher, hopefully an explosive RB, and even more important a game changing TE. CB would be nice, but I think between Wallace and Dane Jackson, we might have our guy.
  10. It just seems like people have such a bad taste in their mouth from the KC game, it’s now doom and gloom. No team is perfect, and all have needs. We went 13-3, and Allen and co. won in Baltimore as Allen didn’t make big mistakes and our defensive game plan was excellent. They forced Lamar to have to throw from the pocket and outside the hashes. We have we hope a more favorable schedule in 2021. If Brees retires, how good is Winston, the Bucs with Brady another year older, but he is still winning. We have the Titans, Steelers (Ben looked terrible down the stretch), Colts, and Chiefs. We have so much to do in the pff season, it’s hard to predict we’ll be that much better or worse. We still have a lot of strengths like our secondary, a solid zone defensive scheme, Allen of course, and WR’s. Do we need a running game, TE, edge rusher, and possible a replacement in a very athletic LB in Milano, but so does everyone else have needs. There is nothing pointing for me to say we will have this large scale regression. If anything, a lot of pundits think we will improve on this year.
  11. I doubt Lynch would sign him for more than just a one day contract for a ceremony. They already have solid young RB’s, and Gore can’t really help much at ST. A nice guy, class act his whole career, and probably a HOF in 5 years post retirement. (16,000 third overall)
  12. Ham, I didn’t write the numbers down from Jeremy buts an advanced metric from pro football reference. If you have the radio.com app, pull up the on demand sometime between 6:30-7:30 am. I wasn’t paying close attention, and if you go to PFR, you should be able to find it. They had the best guys top 10 within a three year period. I’d listen this morning as I believe audio on demand is only good for 24 hrs. I hope that helps. If memory serves, that number on Mahomes was like 127.9 or something. You’ll probably enjoy the discussion. It was one of their trivia segments, and the guys were trying to guess who were the other 6, but they did rate Montana as 10th. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
  13. DK, thanks for finding it, amd more importantly for the brief synopsis as I doubt I’ll watch for two hours. In the beginning there are a lot of casual fans that would benefit from the education on how the cap works, restructuring, converting salary to bonus, etc. I think it helps some vs. just cut this guy, or that guy. The real question is not who we add, subtract, or restructure, it’s what is McD, Beane, Daboll, and Frazier’s vision for their team next year. You then have more of the blueprint of what pieces to add, and can they afford it. It’s also a strategy of their expectations for the cap not in 2021, but out in 22, 23, 24, and 25. I’m confident Beane already has some working information as he knows one tv contract alone I saw reported could go from $1.2 bil. to $2 bil. That’s only one network. They are all educated guesses., but if we can ride out 2021, the successive years should bear a great deal of fruit. I’m sure that is what teams like Philly, NO, and so on are banking on to not drop Star players.
  14. Regarding the car accident, I’ll pray for the kids who were injured. I seriously doubt he had only two to three beers. As far as the timing, this unfortunately will be a real distraction from what looked to be a good game. The Chiefs somewhat benefited that the zoom interviews are over so the players which has nothing to do with them won’t be barraged with 1000 questions by reporters. Please know I’m not condoning despicable behavior. It horrible and criminal. I just really hope these kids will be ok. That son is going to go to jail no matter how much $ the Reid family has to defend him.
  15. I’m the first one to compliment Allen for his progression to one of the better QB’s in the league, and will be our franchise guy probably for another decade or longer, but Mahomes. I was listening to Howard and Jeremy this morning and Jeremy pulled about some advanced stats from pro football reference combing net positive yards minus sacks, etc.. You data guys know more than I on that point. Anyway, in Mahomes first three years as the starting QB of any QB in the history of the NFL, has a rating so high. Of overall QB’s at any point in their careers over three years, he ranked 7th. You guys know many of the other guys, P. Manning, Marino, Fouts, and so on. Montana was 10th. Another data point just indicating Mahomes is performing now better than any young QB in the history of the NFL. Again, I love Allen and wouldn’t trade him for just about anyone, and Mahomes is not going anywhere. He’s locked up in KC for the next decade. It’s just that a lot of people are getting wrapped up in the Allen hype, and the reality is he is now an excellent QB, amd will just keep getting better, but why compare him to the guy returning to the SB.
  16. Major, it’s too bad no one posted it was going to be on, but I’ll keep a lookout for a replay. Did they mention Ralph loaning Al $50,000 I believe to keep the team afloat back in the early 60’s? I remember seeing other interviews how Ralph wanted to keep the foolish 8 afloat which is the reasoning he loaned Al the $. This again was from interviews I saw over decade ago, so one of the old timers might have more info., but I realize the focus was probably on Al, and why he did what he did to get the Raiders going.
  17. He had nothing else to write about. I have no idea what McD and Daboll are thinking much less Beane. Could they want him to renegotiate his contract, could they want to cut him, or do they acknowledge he was more banged up than he let on, so they give his late season performance a pass? I don’t know and neither does Joey B. If he sourced it with someone at OBD, then there might be something to the report.
  18. Boettger has been a project fir this team for awhile, and until we draft or sign someone else, he’s not expensive. I liken him to Teller. Teller is 26 and although developed by us, he’s producing for Cleveland.
  19. Brees could pay them to work and the team will still be in cap hell.
  20. It sounds like just speculation as to destinations, unless they had sources. Common sense would say the Colts or Bears, but that doesn’t mean there is any merit to to the speculation. The Colts makes sense to me given Reich and Wentz’s history, and the need for a QB, But I could see the Bears as a disaster. In the past, he would try and play hero ball which would get him injured, where’re the Colts are a very balanced team with weapons and a good O Line.
  21. How angry are MN fans watching them jettison Diggs, the love he is getting, and outperformed every WR in the league. He’s such an addition to this team. I don’t see every team copying the Chiefs for a couple of reasons. First, most teams don’t have the talent to do what the Chiefs did in the game. Second, during the regular season those DB’s would’ve been flagged throughout the game, and third, basically we had one WR with an abdomen injury, one had a broken leg, and another two had bad knees/ankles. Now, i know a lot of players in the playoffs a bunch of guys are playing hurt, but it was our entire unit.
