  1. Royal, I looked at the same data and came to a similar conclusion. He is an upgrade, and one year of an jury doesn’t make him washed up. I’m fine if we don’t grab him, and would feel better if a later round pick like 4th or later. Not sure if he’s worth $8 mil.
  2. Thurm, I was thinking the same like the Hill deal which is crap.
  3. A couple of thoughts.. Belichik will not win more than 9 games this year as Cam or Mac are just not going to win you tough games. He is a great coach, but you’re not going to do well with those QB’s. Who realistically thinks either QB can lead that team over us twice, the Bucs, Titans, Colts, Saints, and even the Fins twice. Maybe the Fins once, and maybe the Saints (Winston is roll of the dice as I watched him down here and he can score, but I don’t know if that eye surgery was really the catalyst to all of those pics). Flores made mistakes with the back and forth with Tua. Herbert had the same off season last year as Tua and look at the difference. The Fins may have won more games, but that was due to a number of reasons. First, last year the Fins had 11 draft picks, and second they spent $235.8 mil. in free agency. If they wanted to develop Tua, and he really didn’t know the playbook that well, why didn’t they keep Fitz in as the starter until he started losing. Excuses were made Tua’s hip wasn’t completely healed. A head coach doesn’t know it. A head coach can’t figure out Tua wasn’t executing on the playbook. Im fine with McD being placed 5th. That seems right and agree with the guys ahead of him. This year will be exciting for the Bills. We should win 13-14 at least if not more. That record will look so much better after this year, and I don’t see us regressing at all for a long time.
  4. This is about as newsworthy as the article on the main board from the voice of the Eagles saying a trade is imminent for Ertz. He even writes in the column I have no inside information. There is nothing to trading Hughes or Addison. Like many, I have no issues with trading for Addison, but Hughes, no. That won’t happen. I believe they won’t extend either after this year, especially if they see advances from the rookies and Epenesa.
  5. GB as always provides a very pragmatic POV. He’s not the best and he’s not the worst or even average. He’s an above average LB that should do well this year.
  6. I know. Pat brought it up, and Harry responded with the pursuit drills he’s doing. If you listened, Pat commended him as he didn’t know almost any players in their typical vacation time (now) that are doing these drills. He laughed and Mills said most players he knew gripes when they had to do these in camp much less on his own with a high school kid helping him. Ill give it to Harry. If honest, and I believe him is doing everything possible to be the best version of himself. Think about how many players are in an island vacation spot, and he’s doing these drills in Nebraska. It’s the reason I was hoping a few guys were able to listen as it was an encouraging interview and show.
  7. That’s what I remember of Campbell a decade ago. Groot is going to use his speed and grow into his body. Without PED’d it takes time to put pure muscle on naturally even with natural supplements, proper nutrition and training hard. Most natural guys working incredibly hard can put on may 7-10lbs. of muscle a year. I’m not worried as he’ll employ different skills Throughout his career. I didn’t expect him to do anything more than packages for him. He hasn’t played football in 18 mos. so it’s pretty aggressive to think he’ll start. Basham is more likely to get into the rotation this year.
  8. PT101, well written my friend. Edmunds has done a lot right, and made some mistakes and played through an injury I suspect was worse than he led on during the season. Not an excuse, he just didn’t look right from game 3-8. I wouldn’t say he’s as good as Devin White, but he is a solid LB and looked a lot better when Milano returned. I called into Polians radio show last week and this was his exact comment that the two compliment each other. What was Captain Obvious to many of us is our front four just wasn’t getting there. The closest to a successful season was Hughes as he was in the backfield quick forcing a number of early throws by opposing QB’s. I’m excited to see what this mew talent will do along with Star back to bring the front four to where it should’ve been last year. It was by far even more than the pedestrian running game our worst deficiency.
  9. Don’t forget the Browns, Giants, Jets, and Indy as well. Hindsight’s 20/20. Would any of them rather have Mayfield, S. Barkley, Darnold, Chubb, or Q. Nelson? I think not. I never thought in my life I would ever see a QB with A. Rodgers caliber, but without the premadonna attitude.
  10. Tim, that was my interest in what style does both Breida and/or Moss Singletary gel. They need to settle in on one style and master it. Shaw makes a good point in flexibility, but a good running team like the Browns or Titans does one thing very well. I don’t expect a heavy running game as our strength obviously is in pass pro and 10/11 personnel with an exceptional passing scheme. We were 14th in rushing in 2020 partially because of Allen’s yards. I don’t expect that to go away so if we could just increase our ypc bringing us up to 10th, that will be significant progress.
  11. One of the reasons he’s paid $7 mil. Is they paid forward his contract to keep him happy. I didn’t look up, but remember when he signed with the Pats it was for an avg. around $14 mil./yr. He knows he’s over 30 as Noggin mentions, and thinks he might have the Pats over a barrel given their poor performance and will need him to get a winning season. It’s true the Pats let people go early so this will be interesting to see what happens by August.
  12. I hope you never stop doing this bud. I’m now showing to my boys. They are 19, and 22. We now watch and my friend don’t stop. My other Bills friends, this is great dad/son time. Chand, I mentioned to you my boys took me to 12 Mighty Orphans. My boys said to me, dad you taught us this spread offense, double reverse, reverse pass, and so on and so on when we were 6-8. I said, I know boys, this is the guy who was instrumental in making it happen in 1938. Watch the movie boys. Just bring a tissue.
  13. Thanks guys. I just know we’re NFL and bills starved this month so at least the Sirius guys can listen. I promise I’ve started my one thread for the quarter.
  14. Guys: For those of you who have Sirius NFL Radio, yesterday, 6/28 Horribla Harry was interviewed by the guys on Movin The Chains. If you have Sirius, then you have the ability not just from the car, but download the app, and can listen on demand on you’re phone. For those who have that option, you can listen 10 minutes or so into the show on demand as they don’t have commercials, and they did an evaluation of the interior defensive linemen for for the Bills. They completed the AFCE yesterday. The Bills scored 12 out of 20 points, and surprisingly evaluated Ed Oliver at a 5 out of 6 for a lead guy. They stayed a whole bunch of stats you can listen to in terms of pressures, hurries etc. Approximately 1 hour into the show you can que up the Phillips interview. I don’t have memorized, but were positive about Harry, and he went onto the drills he is doing like pursuit drills, chase the rabbit etc. Running 20 gassers everyday and doing two a days private workouts. The guys were impressed as they expected him to say he was taking vacation somewhere. He seemed quite motivated, plugged his camp he just did in Buffalo, and another in Omaha coming soon at his old high school. It was interesting as he said this is his ramp up time. He took his vacation to rest in February and now was a time to train in Nebraska. He indicated his knee was great and mobility and agility was a non issue. I came off that interview feeling pretty good about how motivated and prepared he is trying to be for camp. This show as many know do these position group rankings every off season around this time after the draft. I think football nuts would like it as they don’t seem to play favorites, and present the same objective data for each team. Where we’ve done well and again this is just a radio show, but I know from past comments a lot of guys like this show on the board. Top 10 as a position group, not a single player. QB’s #2, as they thought on top of Super Allen, the addition of Trubisky was an amazing add. WR’s #1-2, honestly can’t remember it was either 1st or 2nd, as they thought we were deeper than just about anyone in the NFL. They went knee deep not just on Diggs, but all the way down to Davis and interjected how Sanders may be an upgrade over Brown. OL #10, they thought our depth and recent adds place us 10th just like last year and cited pass pro time clean for Josh, and if we created better space for the RB’s would’ve gone higher. No other group on offense made the top 10 and the DT’s were the first on defense. The last 2 years they have lacked our secondary at #2 or #3, and I expect the same this year. I know this is a message for Sirius subscribers only so my apologies to those who don’t, but if someone smarter than me (which is many) can find where to get this recording, I think the rest of you guys would like it. As an aside, Bills=12, Fins=12, Pats=11, and Jets= 14 out of 20 points so bottom line no one has a top 10 interior D Line for the AFCE. For as much as I respond, I rarely start a thread. I just thought for those who can look it up might like to hear Horrible Harry. Enjoy.
  15. Love those. I thought for a heartbeat you meant those god awful two tone crap. I should’ve known better bud.
  16. Greg, do you mean the uni tops that are blue and white in the early 2000’s? I know now we wear wear blue tops and white bottoms. Just clarifying as I don’t want to misinterpret you.
  17. I despised that uni. I know Diggs is on record he loves the red helmet, but someone brought up a good point if we use that as the throwback, we can’t use the old one with the standing red Buffalo. That changed my mind as I love seeing the old helmet.
  18. Sorry I started this one. My fault as it wasn’t on purpose. If I ever share I’m not a social media guy, it’s not an opinion anyone should or shouldn’t at all. I choose for multiple reasons not to use it, but have fun as you guys on this site provide a lot of info. Just making sure everyone knows I could care less whether people use or not. I choose not. That’s just me and respect whatever people want to do. I’m out on this one.
  19. Eball, just a personal choice and not a badge of courage bud. I would just rather deal with people directly, that’s all. Most of the time, this is my outlet, and would rather not keep up with social media. I have no opinion about people that love it. If Twitter and other outlets are things you love, great. Hap, my apologies as I scanned quickly and love to kid Chand, but realize it’s you. Again, I’ll reach out to Ian as he would know (my son) if possible. He’s on that stuff all the time.
  20. Talk to you’re grandkids old man fan. 😏🤔😂🏈🏋️‍♀️ Sorry, being a little snarky as you can take it. I’ll ask my oldest son Chand as he is as Belicheat says into the Instasnapface stuff. He may know. You know those damn kids. I am proudly a non social media person except this site if this is considered social media. My friends get ticked at me, and my response is always if I want to talk to you I’ll call, text, or email you, or god forbid write you a letter, and you can do the same as I’ll always respond.
  21. As always Dr. Chandler, resident historian, thank you. I loved those narrations as a little boy. I think they came out on Saturdays predating anything like HBO, and ESPN. I loved this guy. He helped me tremendously to be a an avid NFL fan, not just the Bills. My only regret is we didn’t get an Autumn Wind song as we were dynamic in the 60’s before my time. The Chill of the Bills defense kind of thing. I am so happy he is going in this year. No one more deserving, no player or coach. He was the voice of God, back in the day.
  22. I understand the point on stars under 25, but we are at an avg. age of 26.6, and the avg. NFL team is 26.4. After this year we will be younger as 2022 probably won’t be with Addison, Star, and possibly, but not likely Hughes. We may move on from Morse as well. All are useful, but you can see Beanes future plans were tocreat gjhs in waiting for the current older players.
  23. Victory, I’m not going t bust you’re chops as you love the Bills and have some good tales, but my friend this one was a little over the top. That just tells me you’re as excited as I am about this year. The differences between Frazier and Petrine’s are distinct, just like Schwartz’s wide 9 all had unique qualities. It’s in how these are applied and 2013 they had the horses to apply well. The book’s not written in 2021 just like no one predicted, none of you or me that our offense would explode to the second best in the league and broke a ton of records. Victory, I hope you’re right and our defense moves from 14th to top 3-5 as McD did it in 18 and 19. I think more reasonably we should crack the top 10. Star has usefulness so to make your eoriginal comments I don’t agree. He’s not a savior, but he doesn’t suck either.
  24. Dane Jackson and Matt Breida I believe should qualify as dark horses as it’s assumed Moss and Singletary are the leads in the running game. How could you not say a 7th round pick is not a dark horse? I think he is going to shine this year.
