  1. Well, he’s looking closer and closer to a backup given Matt Ryan took the Indy job, and Marriott’s took the Falcons gig. Winston went back to NO. That leave Seattle and Carolina. It’s not looking good for BM.
  2. Beamed already done a lot of restructuring which makes sense as everyone knows how large the cap will get not next year, but the following years to come. Between the tv revenue increase, and the impending gambling $ impact, this was the right year to push the $ down the road. As far as CB, I think we are stretched out enough. Our 1st and 2nd RD picks should be spent on CB and WR. Whichever is the better value at the pick is who we should grab. I’d love to find a G in the third then whatever after. Probably a RB at some point as Moss hasn’t worked out. Move on like we are going to move on from Ford.
  3. Baker. He’s already publicly expressed his interest in going there. He’d probably do a little better in a dome and the south. Besides Reich has a way of grooming QB’s and is such a grounded man, it would be good for BM.
  4. Solly, but then we don’t have a backup. This is similar to some clamoring to trade MT before last season. Not saying you, but locking up a backup is the smart move.
  5. Good call. I liked the trade. A 7th rounder and the going rate for a quality backup. He has a career 63% completion record, and let’s not forget Mitch last year didn’t start once. Hell be fine and we have our backup set for now. I still say with the other 7th RD pick we should take a shot on a punter. I’d never use the pick earlier. Field position is so important.
  6. Cmon over. I always had a soft spot for Browns fans as they had it even worse than us during our drought. the Browns better get a decent draft pick or two for BM.
  7. I’m hopeful we can keep Bates. He was developed here, and I believe if the Vikings or another team beats our original offer, we can hopefully have a little wiggle room to go upward within reason. if not, we still have the draft. There is no way that abomination, Ford should make the team.
  8. Yep, He’s on record admitting it. He said his goal is to fill holes in FA, and says like every GM BPA in the draft. I think he does let needs come into a play a little the need issue. it wasn’t an accident we swung at two DE’s, and a Guard in the first three rounds last year.
  9. You know a lot of people said that last year after a 13-3 season, and we went slightly backwards with an easier schedule. Not a complaint as it’s a round Robin every few years. im hopeful and confident barring an Allen injury we’ll hit 11-13 wins next year. We face the AFCN, and NFCN, and yes the Titans again and the Rams. That’s a tough schedule, but we will be battle hardened and will be better prepared for the Playoffs. I’m sure we’ll win the division, but the #1 seed is going to be tough.
  10. Addison is not as good as some people on the board indicate. We did need to get younger and now we have lot of competition both inside and out.
  11. He’s going to make the Browns better, but Mayfield won’t get a ton for him. Maybe a mid level pick, but the Browns may need to eat part of the $18 mil. BM’s owed.
  12. I don’t know why the Texans didn’t swap for Mayfield and a little less in picks. Cleveland will need to get a willing trade partner. Looks like NO $25.5 mil., Indy $41.5 mil., Seattle $34.4 mil.are all looking. All could swing Baker’s owed ($18 mil.) If it were me I’d shoot for Indy. Solid team, still relatively young, and a great running game. BM probably just a bridge guy for a couple of years, but could get any of these teams for 2022-2023.
  13. I love the signing. One of the Washington sports beat writers pegged him before 2020, he would be perfect in Buffalo. The cool thing is the pressure is off for the draft.
  14. All kidding aside I wouldn’t be surprised a punter in the 7th., although I wouldn’t be surprised if we took CB, speed WR, a backup QB, and maybe another G. That’s 5 picks. Just bundle the 9 as much to 5 moving up, to get the best players possible.
  15. Part of me was a little surprised we didn’t go post June 1, but I guess given Allen and others contracts are skyrocketing, and whether you’re in the pro or con Edmunds, he’s probably going to get an extension, but may be a low ball contract.
  16. I know Beast, and yes, Woods is a pro, and a good blocker. My guess is Beane is going to look everywhere he can for blazing speed. He has size in Knox, Howard, and Davis. He has great hands, route running and contested catches with Diggs and Davis. Beane is frothing at the mouth to get anyone close to Hill’s speed in KC.
  17. I wanted him last year. He was on some national media guys last year on a good value DT. He was excellent against the run when he did lay for the Skins. Ill say it gain, I’m so excited what we did in free agency, and guessing Beane will look for a backup QB. Besides that, he’s done more than enough to create the right buzz for Bills fans. As far as the draft, we just need to pick BPA regardless of the position. I’m coming round to looking for a speed WR at 25, if there is one there.
  18. Outside if the Bills, I watch more Bucs games than most given I live here. Howard was just passed over for the other two TE’s, and they have a bunch of solid WR’s. Why do you think Brady went to Tampa. Good line, good weapons, good defense. Howard should play a bigger role here in Buff. I’m very happy about our off-season. Just pick the BPA for all of our picks and be happy of you can trade up for anyone. My guess is things will calm down now.
  19. Works for me. I haven’t heard from my TN friends he’s dropped off on his play. We’ll probably do a second day draft option. I doubt two though. We still will be looking for a CB, possible WR if we don’t agree to a deal with Landry, and yes probably another DE or DT. I still think we should bundle picks and get the best quality if we can get trade partners. We most likely need about four to five high quality picks. I wouldn’t be surprised if we draft a punter in the 7th and potentially dump. Haack even if he did take a pay cut.
  20. SC, I agree and they are never going to pay an ok G that much $. They have lots of time to restock in FA and the draft.
  21. I wasn’t surprised to hear the news about Beasely seeking a trade. It just makes sense. If Star is a post June1 hit, those numbers would be interesting. There are two monster 1 tech DT’s, NFLR has been toting at the combine. Whoever is the best talent at DT, CB, WR, is fine with me of one is graded higher than another per Beane. One concern is Tre may not be 100% in September.
  22. What keeps me up at night is who is the backup LS, and Punter? Whew, scary. Guys, Beane will find someone. The sentimental pick of course is Fitzy. With his injury, if he was healthy, I bet he might like to handle a clipboard this year for us and retire. I doubt we have a snowballs chance at MT. Then it’s just the carasoul. They’ll figure it out.
  23. He’s like… Watch out for you’re female interns.
  24. I don’t listen to the noise, but I can see us not resigning Butler or Addison, we’re stuck with Star due to the contract, and let Edmunds play out his 5th year option. No early contract. As much as I like to wait for FA, I’m guessing Beane will take a CB in the 1st. The question is there a top notch 2nd round space eating 1 tech DT we could benefit complimenting Horrible Harry? These two additions would definitely benefit our defense. Offense is for a different forum.
