Seriously, The 49ers were in the SB in 2020 and with injuries was an easy defeat even though they had a top 5 defense. You're grasping at something that is not there. Don, I dont get mad at those guys as they demonstrate they either don't understand football, and have certainly never played or coached. I look at the opponents and the Chiefs barely beat the Browns, but they are darn good, so is Baltimore, and LAC. Don’t count those cats out. Clark will get back from his suspension in I think the week or two after us. He’s a beast. Im not force ranking right now as we lost to an excellent defense, but a weak offense in Pitt. Miami are pretenders even though 5ey almost beat LVR, and WFT will not be thought of that highly at the end of the year. This is perfect for us. We beat on the Dolphins, shored up our passing game with WFT, and next week will be ugly for Houston. I’m not afraid of KC, or TN, but we will have two nice challenges and that is where I’ll start pounding my chest if we win both.

You don’t choose a QB by a program or not by a program. You can find these guys in Delaware, Wyoming, and 100 other places. It just depends.

Isn’t it so nice to have four solid guys at WR where you can always give one a rest with only a couple of any snaps in a week and you use the other three. We are playing in the last two games more balanced football using the RB’s and Knox either in blocking or the occasional target. It’s perfect and with the talent hard to defend. Last year we went so much four wide, second only to AZ, I think that’s a mistake this year. If I had to prioritize, I love 11 the most, 21 second, and 10 only when there is a clear advantage, but still keeping the RB in to chip and be the outlet. Stay the hell away from empty sets.

I look at it this way, Gabe gets to rest the ankle, while the other three have the potential to get nicked up over a couple of weeks. When one does get a bit nicked up, Gabe comes in as the third and one gets less snaps, and gets healthy again. With Knox seemingly early to tell, but maybe finally made progress in his ball handling skills (TD catch was awesome and not an easy catch), and one of the two RB’s, we have da da da da, depth. If Gabe’s 100%, I hope he gets some snaps with the Texans, but if not 100%, not 90%, let him sit for most of next week as we surely need him going gang busters at the Chiefs. I like this team on 11 personnel. They have the most flexibility amd balance in this formation. We don’t have a second TE garnering a 12 personnel formation, but at times, not often, 21 with Gilliam and pick you’re RB could be effective. It would be specific to the opponent. I think we need to stay away from 10 and empty sets.

Not even remotely surprised. I always thought it was a dumb theory, but didn’t want to be rude to some posters. Kit has nothing to do with it. He knocked off the rust and is getting his mojo back. He’s just cleaning up mechanics and should have another solid game next week. As an aside, the Chiefs defense doesn’t look the same. They’ve played a hard schedule with the Browns, Ravens, and Chargers who is developing nice team. They will probably have a get eight game against the Eagles and we’ll see. Should be fun.

Miyagi San, we’ll said my Sin Se. I wholeheartedly agree. Daboll expected some mana Coverage and zone with blitzing in week 1. He didn’t adjust and we paid the price. Now that we are more balanced in a 60/40 pass to run, and using Knox as well as some chips meant all the difference today. I want to enjoy the win as we have another tune up week they won’t overlook where Allen can cement what he knows to do and then the real work starts. The good news with Frank Clark suspended among other things has the Chiefs looking suspect on defense.
